I won't bore you with the details of the curriculum as you can find that out for yourself through Fast Track. The best thing I can say is that my son enjoyed the class and the "homework." The staff was wonderful and they even had a screen to watch from the lobby what she was working on in the room. After each visit we were sent home with suggested areas to focus on. We were so impressed with this program and the teacher, Daisy, that we are now signing up our son for the 3 year old Explorer program in the Fall of 2014 as his first educational experience. Choosing test prep at Kweller has been one of the best decisions we made along his academic journey. Thanks to @kwellerprep, my son's essay writing, reading comprehension, math and vocabulary knowledge have improved measurably. Before Kweller, my son would use basic vocabulary to convey his thoughts, often in run-on sentences. Now, he can compose a compelling coherent essay with an interesting introductory "hook" incorporating the rich set of advanced vocabulary he picked up through Kweller courses. I would not have done as comprehensive a job had I prepared him myself. Kweller provided the structure necessary to get the work done. The weekend check-in created a the deadline. We found the nightly homework more useful than the Zoom, but that could be individual preference. The homework helped highlight what areas my son needed work on. Also, it was helpful to have him practice sitting for a long test. It's not magic. It's practice, practice, practice. Don't expect a child to manage this by themselves. There was quite a bit of parental involvement until we were accustomed to the pacing and log-in. I'm happy we chose to use Kweller and I would use them again.
