I felt she was projecting her own past experiences onto me, especially after I made a harmless joke about getting married. ​When she called me the following day and asserted that she was 'smart,' I asked her to explain the comment she had made previously, but her response was rude and indignant. In light of this, I hold to the principle of 'doing unto others as you would have them do unto you,' and I will not be returning to this practice due to her treatment of me.

They got me a temporary filling for the pain and some 800 mg ibuprofen. I came back a few days later for the crown. Generally I don't numb for any dentist. I had no problem here. Dr. Moy was so kind and gave a thorough explanation of what she saw upon examining him and what the possible outcomes were likely to be for our situation. And her staff was very patient and accommodating as I struggled to wrangle a baby and a less-than-cooperative toddler through the office. One staff member even rocked the baby's stroller to calm him for me while I held my toddler for the dentist. To top it off, the bill was not nearly as bad as I'd expected. I highly recommend!

Dr. Schumann attempted to continue working on him despite him not being sedated. I expected the 2nd time to go much smoother considering we paid $250 for sedation. All he gave him was some IV fentanyl (as an ICU nurse I know that one single dose of IV fentanyl in the amount he gave him was not nearly enough, nor would it last long enough to help my husband for his procedure). My husband again woke up during his procedure (or was never properly sedated) and again was telling them to stop because it hurt so bad. My husband states he remembers telling Dr. Schumann it was hurting and Dr. Schumann shoving a needle into his gums. This procedure was again still not able to be finished. We paid $2k+ for an incomplete procedure.

The dental assistant Eli was kind and explained everything she was doing. Dr Pappas was great! He explained the process and our plan is underway for his crown placement. We decided to switch to Grove City Smiles and today I had my first appointment with Dr Schairbaum. Tori, my hygienist took great care of me, she was gentle and explained everything that she was doing. Dr Schairbaum went over the process of having my silver/mercury fillings replaced and took her time looking over my scans/x-rays and she has a great personality. Everyone we encountered from the front office staff to the dentists were kind and personable and made for a great experience. Highly recommend these great dentists and the staff at Grove City Smiles.
