She made the appointment for me today 8/12/2025 and I accepted. Upon checking in the charge for a new patient visit at this particular location is $50, instead of the $20 at other locations. So I paid it. I'm taken back and given 3D and traditional x-rays for the dentist to come in, inspect my teeth in question, confirm which teeth I need work done to, which are the wisdom and molars in front of it. To then tell me that they don't work on those teeth and refered me to other dentists and specialists. My total disgust is that they knew this before they charged me $50 and I was self pay. Beware!!!

Dr. Schumann attempted to continue working on him despite him not being sedated. I expected the 2nd time to go much smoother considering we paid $250 for sedation. All he gave him was some IV fentanyl (as an ICU nurse I know that one single dose of IV fentanyl in the amount he gave him was not nearly enough, nor would it last long enough to help my husband for his procedure). My husband again woke up during his procedure (or was never properly sedated) and again was telling them to stop because it hurt so bad. My husband states he remembers telling Dr. Schumann it was hurting and Dr. Schumann shoving a needle into his gums. This procedure was again still not able to be finished. We paid $2k+ for an incomplete procedure.

Much to my shock, I walked in for a consultation and out with my top braces (bottom ones going on February 18). A little background: I had braces when I was in the 5th grade. My parents were trying to give me one less thing to worry about in high school, so they put me in braces at a young age. Since I had them on and removed so young my bottom teeth quickly shifted. The bottom ones didn't bother me much because they show very little in my smile. The tops are another story. Those teeth stayed straight into my college years. But while in college, I needed a root canal and had a temporary crown put in place. The procedure was completed at the OSU Dental Clinic, by dental students, and falling out constantly. I became annoyed (and lazy), so I left the temporary crown out while waiting for my crown lengthening surgery and root canal. Leaving that temporary crown out made my top teeth shift very quickly and become crooked. My smile is something I grew extremely self-conscious of because those teeth show in my smile and I'm the type of person to smile with full teeth showing. But I've also long said I'm never going to be a model, so I have to live with them as is. Thankfully, I don't have to think that anymore. Many of the dental 'spaces' are partially open to the hallway, giving a sense that passerbys may be looking at you - yet I didnt find the exam space to be inadequate in any way. Male partner Doc diagnosed quickly and filled cavities efficiently with no pain. Numbing was perfect and teeth feel much better than before. (-2 stars **) Follow-up questions over the phone were ignored and not relayed to the doctor as stated they would be. When doctor was asked about the specifics of the procedure, he defensively asked if I did not trust him, which could have been deterring to a shy-er person. I wasn't and the doc answered the rest of my questions. Employees do not seem to like their job and seemed irritated that they had to answer simple questions (what material for cavities). Overall, I recommend for the dental work, caution that the front staff can have bad days, and suggest advocating for yourself to get your questions/concerns addressed here. But like I said, at the end of the day, my teeth feel amazing!
