(the others either didn't respond or finally responded weeks later) He listened to my concerns and where I had issues with ice buildup and standing water. When the crew arrived to remove and prep the old driveway, they all worked well together and were focused on making sure all of my concerns were addressed. They came the next day to pave and there was NO skimping anywhere! They made sure it was laid and rolled properly and flat. There were absolutely NO roller lines, or low spots (bird baths) anywhere on my over 3,000 square foot driveway with a sloping pitch from the road. I did receive one other quote for comparison and they were $600.00 less than Pett but I felt more comfortable going with Pett and it was definitely the right decision. I am a retired public school district Maintenance director and have been responsible for tens of millions of dollars in large projects and have overseen many parking lot paving repairs and replacements. Pett was never a contractor for any of those over the years but I wish they were. Pett is top notch and I highly recommend them.

They came out TWICE to 'inspect' it. They looked at it, nodded, pretended to care, and then pulled the classic excuse: 'Warranty expired.' A real beauty. Very pathetic! When you take people's money and deliver garbage work, maybe -- just maybe -- you should stand behind your product. But apparently this contractor thinks he's running a fly-by-night operation, not a real business. We're not going to let it go. We're not going to be pushed around. Not by contractors. Not only did they provide a very competitive price, they also showed up on time, did what they said they'd do and did a perfect job. By way of perspective, I am retired from 25 years of managing shopping centers. I've worked with paving contractors in 5 states for everything from new parking lots to overlaying parking lots to repairing them. I can tell you that while the asphalt is pretty much the same, the workmanship for base preparation, planning for drainage and laying the asphalt varies significantly and when its poor workmanship, you will see the difference.

The project went flawlessly without any hiccups, and a few days later, I had a beautiful patio that I've been dreaming about for 10 years. It's been a year since they've come and put down the patio and I wanted to come back now to leave the review to say that I thoroughly enjoyed our patio last year and will again this year. The patio has survived last year's Milwaukee winter superbly, despite the enormous amount of snow we had. They are also very professional and honest with their work. You can easily find people who perform great work, but it's not as easy to spot someone who is honest and follows through with their promise. But upon completion back in September, Dan stated he would seal at no cost "a month after" - that didn't happen. His commit to doing so is the only reason we didn't do it. As a result, it got beat up with the constant weather events and will need to be resurfaced. But second: we contracted with him to do a gutter replacement well in advance of the forth coming rain. It took almost 4 months before he showed. He offered a discount off of the price; then when he finally did show, he only removed some of the existing gutter and left without installing any new. He even left his ladder behind for some reason. Multiple emails for followup status have gone unanswered. It's the lack of communication and unfinished task (which can cause roof damage) that forces star drop. Previously he had indicated that they moved "far up north" - so it's possible he needed to change his service area but hasn't. That's on the business though; if you accept a job and money for the job, you complete the job as agreed. Which might mean something as simple as booking a hotel nearby for a week until the job is done or something.
