On April 14th I called because the tip of the hearing aid got stuck in my mother's ear. It usually takes 5-10 minutes for them to remove the piece. The hearing aid also needed a minor repair which also normally takes just 5-10 minutes. I called at 9:15 and left a message explaining the issue, but didn't receive a call back. I called again at 10:30 and the receptionist told me she would call us back. By 1:00 we hadn't heard from them so I had to take my mother to Sutter Urgent Care which took two hours. By the end of the day, we still had not heard from SC EN&T Medical Group. The next day, I took the hearing aid into the Water St. location for the repair. While I was trying to explain what needed to be done to one person, the receptionist who I talked to on the phone the previous day interrupted and claimed she tried to call us back. Well, we all know our cell phones provide a list of incoming and outgoing calls and none of the three phone numbers (mine, my sister's, or my mother's) shows a call from SC EN&T and no message was left. This review gets two stars only because the woman who helped me when I dropped off the hearing aid for repair (I think "Molly") was gracious, ready to listen, and it was ready to be picked up within an hour after I dropped it off. I understand the office is busy and people need to wait in line for service, but at the same time, consideration should be given when you know you have a 100 year-old client with a problem that can be fixed in 5-10 minutes. Instead, we had to go to Urgent Care where our mother was potentially exposed to sick people and falling asleep in the waiting room. I also do not appreciate being interrupted while I'm trying to explain a concern. Be respectful.

I specifically asked, working in medical background as a nurse, to check our insurance to confirm we are in network. She did, confirmed my insurance and then also confirmed they are in network. So.. 3 hours later, I receive a call letting me know that for my upcoming appt, my insurance is not in network and the office wanted to let me know. So I responded and said, that's strange as I specifically had your coworker who made the appt, check our insurance while I was on the phone. The lady said that she's the only one that checks insurance. After letting her know that I'm in the medical field and that's not how that works, and usually when a referral is sent the doctors office checks insurance before phoning the patient to schedule the appt and that I could've spent the last 3 hours looking for an alternative place for our serious issue we were benign seen the following day for. Horrible horrible horrible office with horrible staff. Delaying a pediatric patient the needed imaging to rule out cancer because of your incompetent staff. The 2nd lady that phone me to inform me they do not accept our insurance admitted the first last that phoned me needs more training. From reviews.. it seems the entire office does. You're here for the damn patients, remember that.

It was a really hard time. I had a couple of other ENTs unsure of the root cause, with imaging showing no issues, etc. Those ENTs mostly pushed for keeping my newly acquired hearing aids and not pursuing surgery to better my hearing on its own. I finally met with an ENT who recommended the right imaging and then referred me to Dr. Kiringoda, whom he highly recommended. When I first went in for a consultation, Dr. Kiringoda and PA Rachel (who is also awesome) spent a lot of time with me. He looked at my new CT with me and explained what his plan would be for surgery, targeting the exact cause of my hearing loss. Additionally, he would explore the middle ear to ensure there were no other issues and be prepared if anything else came up during surgery. He thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. Small Note: He spends considerable time with his patients, so appointments sometimes run behind, but it's all good because his expertise is worth the wait! I got surgery done by Dr. Kiringoda in August 2025, where I underwent an Ossiculoplasty, in which he placed a prosthetic due to erosion of the long process of the Incus bone. After my surgery, I experienced minimal pain and no complications. It was clear about a month after that my hearing was improving, my tinnitus was decreasing, and the numb feeling in my ear was mostly gone. By two months or so, my hearing was exceptionally improved. I am so grateful to Dr. Kiringoda and his excellent team both before and during surgery. I felt well cared for and still do, knowing they are in my corner if something else transpires with my ears. I highly recommend Dr. Kiringoda and PA Rachel Brown, and I have told several people who have asked me for a reference for a good ENT.

I've worn hearing aids for 24 years by total necessity to work and live because of this disability. After two successful surgeries, I can carry on conversations, workout and talk with people, hike and swim without fear of ruining my expensive hearing aids. It's miraculous!! I knew from my first meeting with Dr. Kiringoda, that I could trust him completely. He is kind, patient, caring and clearly experienced, but also humble. Excellent bedside manner compared to a surgeon I met with 20 years ago in SF. I can't recommend Dr. Kiringoda highly enough...he improved my quality of life in a way I didn't think was possible. Thank you!!!
