Great playground, definitely a place to check out if you are visiting Boulder. Bring bikes, access to great Boulder county bike path system. Kids love the rocket jungle gym structure. Echo chamber is cool. A neat and unusual playground with the Flatirons as a backdrop.

Fantastic park for kids!! Thank you yelp for helping me find this. I had two bored boys with me and went in search of a park and came here. They loved the rocket structure and were enjoying the swings when they saw the pool. And what a fabulous pool it is. Adult entry fee was $6.25 (even if you're not swimming) and kids were $5 each. There was a spacious bathroom and changing area and the poolside was not that crowded even though it was a Saturday. There aren't many lounge chairs though, so bring a blanket. I put a towel down under the shade and read and slept. Ok, let's get back to the kids. The pool seemed clean and there were two lifeguards. The kids loved the long water slide and the diving boards. They also have life jackets and kick boards. Many had pool toys and were having lots of fun. Their concession stand was actually really reasonable, with most things being $1.50. I highly recommend this park to anyone because the park is so beautiful, but especially to those who have kids. There is even a skateboard park that many were enjoying. We didn't get a chance to venture past the playground but it seemed like a big property. We were visiting from Hawaii so I was very impressed with the parks and pools on the mainland. Thank you for a great place!!

This is a great Boulder park, which is highly accessible: not only does it have its own private lot, it is also is located right off of the Boulder creek path, and is close to the CU campus. This park has a nice hill (a.k.a. kick-ass sledding in winter) and a skate-park which is always packed. It even has a graffiti-wall where taggers can duel it out legally. Now that's cool. Oh, and check out the playground for the kids. Beautiful and empty on moonlit nights...I love this place.

This park had it all. Both my 7 and 2 year old played for about 2 hours. There was a huge sandbox and things to climb. I liked that there was plenty of parking as well. It looked like there was a nice pool next door with a diving board but teams were using it. No slides on it right now.

The giant bus for a birthday party! Quinceñera!

What's to complain about this park? Skate park, softball field, slides everything to have a fun time with the family! Quiet out of the way for a great picnic!

Decades ago my younger son took gymnastic classes there. My husband has used their pool for Scuba trip prep swims to test out their equipment. Also my kids and many of their friends had birthday party events there in the 80s. A friend of mine invited me to stop in and try out their fitness classes for seniors. The program is free to us, though most of the participants have some form of support from their medicare supplement policy (Silver Sneakers membership) and I assume that benefit supports the program financially. Nothing is ever "free" in the sense that it is just like being out in nature. There is a large building and many staff to support. All the staff we met in the process of signing up and get information on programs were very pleasant, efficient and supportive. The teacher of the class was a very positive and talented young woman who clearly understood her participants very well. The music was such fun. Some was the a similar play list to what I had in classes in the late 80s & early 90s, when I last took an indoor fitness program at other locations under the Jazzercize label. Many disco dance songs, new in that era, retro classics now. Also some pop songs of the 60s for some of us and cool down relaxing folk and ballads focus too. I was surprised yet pleased to hear Joan Baez "Diamonds and Rust" unique to a class like this I think. Parking is a bit complicated at the center, as the lot out front has very small spaces and is filled quite early in the day, but there is more room along the sides with slightly larger spaces and now that we know that, we will try there first next week.

My two year old son's teeth were chattering and his lips turned blue within 5 minutes of swimming there. I asked a life guard if there might be something wrong and when she checked she said it was 81 degrees, which was only 2 degrees colder than what they usually keep it at. 83 degrees is 15 degrees colder than normal body temp. This is WAY too cold for little ones. I later heard that they have a hard time keeping the water warm. If this is the truth, it would have been nice to hear up front. Next we went to warm up in the hot tub. Apparently they only allow 15 or so people at a time, which I have no problem with, but as I approached the hot tub, the head life guard, a young boy, held his hand up at me with a stern look and shook his head. I had no idea what he was shaking his head at and felt very unwelcome. I had only just come through the door and was still far off from climbing in. It seemed as though he was reprimanding me before greeting me and sharing the rules with me. Very shortly after I began to understand what was going on, three people exited the hot tub. He looked at me with a grimace and said, "you're lucky". I understand that young people who are given responsibility and power are just learning to find themselves and their way in it. I don't blame this young man for his misunderstanding of how to enforce rules in a kind way. But I do blame the adults who run this facility for not mentoring him better. I left shortly after that. When I arrived home I found I had left my toiletries bag in the shower. When I called to see if they had it the next day I was told over the phone that they "usually throw these kinds of things out". When I asked him to let me know if it was there or not he said he was not permitted to tell me over the phone. I said, I have a two year old and I really don't want to drive across town, just to find out it's not there. Would you please tell me if you have it in the lost and found? He said, "no". I drove across town that day with my son in tow. When I got there they did not have my toiletries bag, which was a nice plastic water proof zipper bag with shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and soap. Why on earth would you throw such a thing out instead of keeping it for a day in the lost and found? I simply could not believe how disappointing and unkind this whole experience was. I had to write a yelp review. There really isn't much more I can do except warn people away.

The Louisville Recreation & Senior Center has a scope and quality that you don't typically associate with a city-run facility. From the moment you step inside, it's clear this place was built with intention. The indoor track is clean, well-maintained, and practical -- ten laps to a mile, which makes it easy to track your progress without doing mental gymnastics. But the real standout for me was the cardio area and its view of the Flatirons. Working out with that backdrop isn't something you forget quickly. It shifts the whole experience from routine to something a little more elevated. The aquatics side is equally impressive. We're talking a six-lane, 25-meter lap pool alongside a program pool, a splash pool with a lazy river, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and a cold plunge. Whether you're training seriously or just moving your body, the options are genuinely deep. I swam today and the water quality and lane availability were both solid. Beyond fitness, the senior center component is thoughtfully integrated -- not tucked away as an afterthought but woven into the full facility with its own lounge, library, games room, and fireplace. The Platinum Membership for seniors runs just $12/year for residents, which is almost comically good value given what's available here. This is a place that works for serious athletes, casual movers, older adults looking for community, and families with kids in tow. Louisville quietly built something worth the drive.
