As a Black woman, I was genuinely excited to support a Black-owned business, especially since there aren't many in Menifee. Because of that, I really wanted to continue giving them my business. My husband and I have visited three times since the new owners took over, and each visit has been the same. The owner never smiles, greets us warmly, or even says "thank you." Customer service goes a long way, and while the cleaning itself may be fine, feeling welcomed and appreciated as a customer matters just as much. I truly wanted this business to succeed and was looking forward to supporting it, which makes this even more disappointing. I hope they can improve the customer experience because a little kindness and appreciation can make all the difference.

I was looking around to see if there was another laundromat around and noticed that this one had a coffee bar in it. I was intrigued so I went to do my laundry there. The facility is very clean and welcoming. It doesn't look dirty like your typical laundromat. They have a variety of sizes of washing machines for your needs. There's even different size dryers . Washing and drying is done with an electronic card which you purchase there. You can purchase with cash or with a debit/credit card. They have a section where they sell soap/detergent, fabric softener sheets, etc. they even sell scented oils and candles for your home and even some pet toys. They also have a section where you can drop off your clothes and they'll take care of it for you. Now the coolest part is the coffee bar. You can order a coffee and a pastry to eat while you wait for your laundry to be done. Their coffee was pretty good and I had a strawberry scone, which was the best scone I've had. Not much of a scone person as I feel they are too dry but this one didn't crumble on me and it had really good flavor. There's plenty of seating. There's a bar area near the coffee ordering area, then there's tables on the side and some more outside. All in all. This was a very pleasant laundry experience. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is different. The interior is absolutely beautiful...modern, spotless, stylish, and incredibly welcoming. The large, high-end washers and dryers made it possible for me to wash all of my clothes and blankets in record time, which alone was impressive. But what really sets The Mat apart is the entire experience. There's an incredibly comfortable lounge with a beautiful couch where you can actually relax while your laundry is going, plus an espresso bar with pastries that are seriously to die for. It feels more like a cool upscale lounge than a laundromat. They also offer Fluff & Fold service, which is something I definitely plan on using for my business. Having a place this nice that can also take laundry completely off your hands is a huge plus. The Mat took one of those chores nobody really looks forward to and somehow made it enjoyable. All of a sudden, laundry became fun! Beautiful facility, great atmosphere, fantastic equipment, and an experience unlike any laundromat I've ever been to. AMAZING. For $130 they took care of 5 huge garbage bags full of clothes, nearly 60 lbs of socks, t-shirts, leggings, etc. I will definitely be using them again, it would have taken me days to just wash and dry all that clothes and they had it back to me in about 24 hours.
