I have been coming to Dr. Prawat for over two years, from being highly recommended by my father and happy to say my previous review still stands! Dr. Prawat's level of compassion for each patient is unlike any dentist I have ever seen! He has done everything from dental cleanings, to root canals, and most recently, Invisalign on my mouth and the work he has does is nothing short of incredible (and most importantly, THE WORK LASTS!) His dental assistant, Breeana, also has the most remarkable patient care that I now no longer cry when I have to go to the dentist! I firmly believe that a great dentist is SO HARD to come by, and I feel like the luckiest person to have found Dr. Prawat and his phenomenal staff! Among all things, Dr. Prawat has transformed my smile and the way I think about my dental health. Its embarrassing that I'm only 24 and have always had the worst teeth. But seeing Dr. Prawat has allowed me to feel comfortable about fixing them and working on my overall dental health. No amount of 'thank yous' could ever explain my upmost gratitude to such a wonderful dentist and the wonderful dental team!

I was very embarrassed from my chipped teeth when smiling. Chewing food was painful

We tried other offices, but they were fully booked until SEPTEMBER. This office managed to squeeze us in for the following week for a consultation, where they addressed all of our questions and outlined the entire process from operation and recovery. We were able to come back the following for the extraction, so I was very happy with the quick turnaround and their ability to accommodate our schedules. Thank you to Dr. Khayat and his staff!

But Dr Sami completely disregards anyone who says they have a phobia of going to the dentist. He flies into the room, barely even saying hi. Tells my anxious husband how this extraction will be pretty much awful and that he should brace himself. My husband decides to get sedated instead. Dr Sani doesn't stay in the room to say "I hear you and I see your concern, of course we will do what is best for you"... he just dips out.... while the nurse is the one who talks to us about it!? When it was time for my husband to get a dental implant, he wanted to be sedated again. This was a simpler procedure, but since my husband has been given no indication that this doctor cares whatsoever about being gentle, he felt it was best to be sedated. But when he spoke up for himself, the doctor said "nah you don't need that" and scratched it off the list of services. We asked a nurse if they offer sedation for dental implants. She says they do and added it back on our list of demands. This doctor does NOT get to tell his patients what they need and don't need. There needs to be a calm and comforting conversation around that. If he hadn't been so aggressive in his behavior towards patients, I am sure my husband could have handled this without sedation. We finally cancelled his appointment because we are tired of handing money over to someone who shouldn't even be in the business. This dude needs serious training in manners and handling phobias, because there are plenty of people who have it. And he is one of those people who is making it WORSE. He is re-traumatizing people. The worst kind of dentist.

The procedures were surprisingly pleasant--one implant even took just 12 minutes! Because the surgery was so efficient and the incisions were small, I experienced absolutely no pain afterward, and the healing process was incredibly fast. The implants are now strong and feel just like my natural teeth. Dr. Lee is truly one of the best doctors I've ever encountered. His technical skills are outstanding. While he might be a little reserved and not overly talkative, he has the kindest demeanor and always has a reassuring smile, which significantly reduced my worries before each procedure. During my consultation for an additional (unexpected) upper wisdom tooth extraction, Dr. Morgan insisted on use of moderate sedation. He said, "I just want my patients to have a good experience." I believe I would have had a better experience if shared decision making was prioritized in my care, given my previous positive experiences with a lower level of sedation.   Due to my occupation and training I can confidently say that I understand the risks, benefits, and situations in which this use of medicine is absolutely an asset. I believe that Dr. Morgan's recommendation was likely driven by billing, as IV anesthesia accounted for $810.00 of the estimated bill, while the extraction itself was only valued at $893.00.   I am very apprehensive of medical practices that seem to make patient care recommendations based on profit margins. Moderate sedation is the right choice for many people, just not for me in the setting of single maxillary third molar extraction.   Two stars because the office staff was extremely professional. The office was clean, people are friendly. Check in process is efficient.

My 14-year old fell asleep within 2 minutes and woke up an hour later with everything done. Numbness which is normal, but shockingly that evening and Day 1 after was the worst that it got: light soreness. Barely even needed ibuprofen. The kid never complained once of pain and looked at me like I was nuts that wisdom teeth extraction was a big deal. Zero trauma, zero pain, post-op appt showed mostly healed and no infections or anything. My only regret was why wasn't Dr Chalak around to do my wisdom teeth extractions 30 years ago? Highly recommended - awesome staff in the front office, back office. Very responsive to any questions or issues both before and after. I couldn't recommend Dr Chalak and his practice more. 10 star experience.

He moved East to practice, and sold the Los Gatos practice to Dr Massoomi. I saw this individual twice, once for preop, once for surgery. Dr M came across to me as ignorant of my syndrome (not unusual), but chose not to read the records Dr E had left for him about me. Even after I explained the notes gave a good overview of my syndrome and oral surgery treatment over the last 10 yrs he wouldn't commit to reading my chart. I should have walked out then. I am not a fan of a dr who refuses to read pertinent notes of any highly complex patient. Perhaps he thought he could just 'wing it.' Further, Dr M had great difficulty giving answers to specific, treatment related questions. His primary interest seems to be on 'beauty enhancing' surgeries, while I was only interested in having my medically necessary surgery done. When speaking w/ both me and his staff he tends to turn his back and multitask, which may account for the limited and usually inadequate replies he gave me. In short, Dr M seems to have difficulty w/ highly educated, informed, complex patients; is irritated by the extra time these ppl sometimes require; and if you appear to be hesitant to simply "trust" him he gives off the impression he's offended. The immediate surgery I needed was quite minor, so I let him handle it. The day of surgery he continued to seem irritated, stressed, and unhappy I wasn't just accepting his breezy, shallow answers. The simple surgery was finished, and only required 3 sutures. However, 2 of the 3 sutures came untied *while I was being driven home* from the surgery. This would account for the larger than typical amount of blood loss I had at the incision site. (I didn't realize the sutures had come untied until I felt the suture material loose on the opposite side of my mouth. I then realized why I was bleeding more than typical from such a small surgery.) I called my fantastic dentist that afternoon. He saw me, we agreed I was 'okay,' and the best thing to do was let the area heal and hope the partially opened incision didn't become infected. It did not. I had the only remaining suture removed by a competent oral surgeon on schedule, and never went back to see Dr M. If you need wisdom teeth removed or other common oral surgery done, Dr M might be a competent doc. If you want a doc that treats you w/ respect, is able to acknowledge they don't know everything about every aspect of every rare syndrome that requires a lifetime of oral surgery care, and/or want a doc who simply looks at you when you ask a question and then gives a direct reply to the direct question, RUN, do not walk, to anyone else who is board certified in the Bay Area. Best of luck to you w/ your healthcare needs.

Went to Follmar for next day service. 1) The extraction is fast. maybe 2m with some pliers. Make sure to ask for your tooth. Mine had a gold crown on it. He showed me the infection, It looks like scar tissue. The body creates that as a barrier between the tooth and infection. 2) the recovery is surprisingly fast after the lidocaine wears off. The norco pain pills work. used 1 then another 1 2h after i screwed up as started the would bleeding by moving around too much. The part nobody tells you is to stay as still as possible for a couple hours for the scab or blood clot to harden. I started cleaning after feeling good from the pain pill I could sense the bleeding and pain shoot up after I over strained by accident. Hurts. Sat in the recliner. Shocking how fast it heals if you stay still a couple hours. Could eat avocado, cold soup, tofu 9h same day after on the side wo the extraction. No pain even after the pain pills wear off. This review is for Lynna Bui, whom I saw last week regarding gum recession concerns. Unfortunately,…read moremy experience was deeply disappointing and, at times, unprofessional. Most concerning was a note included in documentation emailed to me after the appointment. The note stated: "I really hope that mean lady (my name) won't schedule. Such a mean person." The comment was attached to Lynna Bui's name and profile picture with her family, clearly indicating she wrote it. Receiving internal remarks of this nature in patient documentation is highly inappropriate and unethical, to say the least. When Lynna Bui entered the room, she stated that she had been informed I typically take prophylactic antibiotics before dental visits and told me that if I chose to take them and wait, she would no longer have time to examine me. This occurred after I had already spent nearly an hour in the office and completed the required imaging and photographs, including a CT scan, all of which required payment. I informed her that I am immunocompromised, which was clearly documented in my medical history forms, and asked whether I could periodically rinse during the examination to avoid swallowing plaque or debris. Lynna, however, told me there was not enough time for that accommodation. While I could elaborate on additional interactions during the visit, the overall experience left me feeling dismissed and uncomfortable as a patient. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others seeking periodontal care to consider alternative providers, as I will be doing.
