In addition, she sent passive aggressive emails and we had to do the best we could to bite our tongues. In the words of Maya Angelou - "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." I will never forget how JoAnne made me feel. It was not as pleasant of an experience as I had hoped it would have been but there is a silver lining in all of this...my roommates and I got almost our entire security deposit back. During the process, Isaiah fought for us all the way. For example, we ended up in what could potentially have been a bidding war with another family, but Isaiah helped us figure out a price that would ward off a potential bidding war while working within our budget. It's a really passive process. Isaiah worked hard to figure out our tastes and needs. He actively sought to show us homes so we could make the cost tradeoffs we needed. With my busy work schedule and the stress of third-trimester pregnancy, the last thing I wanted to do was sit and view MLS postings all day.
