We live close by to this course, so it's particularly convenient. Staff are friendly. Last time I played 18 holes here it was about $52-54 per person. Course is overall pretty well kept and I like the layout. There's 3 nine hole courses, and a 6-hole par 3 practice course that's fun to do in a short time. Driving range is convenient, although they pretty much always use the mats to hit off from now whenever I go there. Pretty standard "clubhouse" inside with some merchandise, food, drinks/bar, etc. Scott Lake is always one of my first choices for places to golf locally; good value for the quality of the course! read more

Decent course for beginners or casual players (though the first hole on the red course had a big ravine). Workers were all friendly and nice. The golf cart path has a lot of hills and turns which was pretty fun for me to drive on but my parents were a little stressed by it. Lots of wooded areas and some of the holes are by the highway. I enjoyed the views overall and had an enjoyable time (only played first 9 on Red course). read more

This course is the closest course to my house and I really like it. There are 27 holes, white, gold and red. I really like the white course but all are fun. I really like that they actually try to keep the women's tee box manicured and maintained. Many courses let they women's tees go to hell early on in the year. The club house is simple and clean. The people are always helpful and friendly. Don't forget to check out the practice area. Nice range and shot game area. I joined a league for the first time this year and I am very happy to call Scott Lake my home course. read more

My previous experience at this course had been wonderful. The staff is great and we take my son there for lessons because they do so well with the kids. I had the displeasure of meeting the owner's wife on the course during a quick 9 holes I tried to sneak in during my lunch break. We had a tee time at 12:09 and ended up teeing off at 12:10. The blue tees were highly elevated and we could not see the three women teeing off at the women's tees, which their group had a tee time at 12:00. I was playing in a twosome and they had a threesome and weren't hitting the ball particularly far at each successive hit. We decided to skip the first hole, to pass them, and continue on, as the course was empty in front of them. The owner's wife, who was in the threesome in front of us (teeing off 10 minutes late), made a point to come find us on the next hole to yell at us and tell us to get back to the tee and play behind them. I asked if I could explain our situation, as we were trying to hurry to get in a quick round and she wouldn't even listen to me. It disappoints me to say that I will probably never play there again, won't take my son there or recommend it to anyone as the owner's wife isn't real gracious, nor care that I am paying her money to play the course. She also led with the fact that her husband owned the course. Anyway, there are other places to go around the area and I honestly don't feel welcome there again. read more

This is my current home/go-to course and I can't say enough good things. The staff are always very friendly and helpful whether it's an off day or a busy weekend and will take the time to make sure you're accommodated. The facility also has a great practice area with a sizable driving range, multiple putting greens, and an area to practice chipping. The course itself is 27 holes which offer some cool variety as well as a good mix of challenging but fun layouts. Lastly, they just recently added a 6-hole par 3 course separate from the others which is great to play on weekdays in the evening when you have less time. Overall, really solid course for golfers of all age and skill level and I highly recommend checking it out. read more

Family owned and operated which I love, ran into this great little gem on vacation last year. 27 holes of fun, nice conditions, tree lined, not easy - not hard - so it is perfect for the beginner, or low to high handicapper. greens are good, service awesome, pricing is perfect, food afterwards was good. Had an absolutely horrible experience. Was with 2 friends loading our golf cart up about to head to the first tee when a man who identified himself as the owner of the golf facility stormed down to us, rummaged through our cart, and opened the conversation with "Can you read?" He proceeded to point out the sign that said no outside alcohol could be brought onto the course (we were loading some beers into a cooler). We were previously unaware of this rule in MI since we are from Illinois where most courses do not mind at all. We offered to put the beer back into the car and proceed with our round when he refused at all costs to talk it through, removed the keys from our two carts, stormed up to the clubhouse, and returned to throw cash at us to refund us and demanded that we leave. After trying to discuss it with him like an adult, he continued to insult us and throw a temper tantrum and refused to allow us to stay and play. I cannot remember the last time I had ever been treated this poorly by the owner of a business. We left and found Quail Ridge Golf Club in Ada. This was a true blessing in disguise as Quail Ridge was far more beautiful than Scott Lake, the management was far more laid back, kind and accommodating, and the price was very comparable. Do yourself a favor and refuse to give the POS owner at Scott Lake any business. Go to Quail Ridge (or anywhere else for that matter). Nice job kicking paying customers of your course, smart move from a brilliant business owner! read more
