Update,.... a year and a half since my review and I'm back... I did the big change to short Hair. Happy as a clam... then went back again today. I'm still very Impressed and love my hair cut and the whole experience! Scott worked with me to get it the right length, etc. totally stress free.... so glad I found him. Let's start with that I loath going to spas and beauticians. There are often terrible smells of carcinogenic chemicals (ammonia, acetone, etc). Add to that they are noisy and crowded. Scott Millers Studio is the opposite of most places. No bad smells, one chair and personal attention. Add to that hair artistry. I came in with long straggly hair.... ithad been 2-3 years since my last hair cut. My hair really needed to be styled and yet it needed to be something I could duplicate, and I needed a new look (no more earth mother braid). Scott got it right away, worked with me and gave me a cut I could manage and that was becoming. No more braid . I am grateful for his patience and artistry. Highly recommended. read more

Scott cut my hair and he did a fantastic job. He is really talented. Not only am I super happy with my hair, I had a great time talking with him and I held his little dog Einstein the whole time. Talk about relaxing! The salon is cute and inviting. It's clean and has a great atmosphere. I loved the hair wash basin. I didn't have to lay all the way back and kill my neck! Scott cut my hair for a two years while I was living in St. Paul. I have VERY curly, thick hair and Scott did a fantastic job with it. After moving to the NW suburbs I tried to find a salon closer to me, but didn't find anywhere I liked as much (including the DevaCurl stylists!). So years later I'm making the drive to St. Paul and it is so worth it! The studio is a cozy, glam space and you can even get your dog fix while you're there. great hair makeover from Scott. I had shoulder length hair and wanted to go very short. i brought a photo of Judi Dench and said I want that hair cut. well, he did much better. He evaluated my hair, texture, etc and created a short cut that was sort of Judi but fit my face and hair much better. now, six weeks later I went in for a trim and he refreshed my do perfectly. you're in good hands with Scott. I just read about a hatchet job by another yelper. Then I realized that I was just here for a brow wax. Scott is the owner operator, so he's the only one. If you like privacy, you'll feel comfortable here. I am letting my hair grow presently, so I'm doing nothing with it. I was walking by Scott Miller Studios and happened to look in the window to see a charming stylist studio, and was impressed by the artful decorating and furnishings. The studio was closed, but there was a number on the door for appointments. I called, Scott answered, and he began walking from the back room into the studio. He invited me in, and after listening to my vision of growing my hair out from a short cut, we made an appointment for a bang trim and highlights. Two days later, I walked out of the shop with beautiful highlights and a bang trim. Scott gave me the confidence to know I could grow my hair out and the strategy to do so. Outstanding! I'm a discerning older client with hair as find as thread from cancer treatments. Scott evaluated my hair and scalp and gave me an amazing shampoo, cut, blow dry, recut and style. Even though I can't use any finishing products, he sculpted my hair to look much thicker, in a style I can easily work with. Because he works in his own salon, there are no other clients or stylists, so -- much safer during this pandemic. I have been searching for 4 years for a stylist I like, ever since my previous stylist moved out of state, and I have finally found Scott. I absolutely love the way he cut my hair. It had been a year and a half since my last cut, because trying to figure out who to use can be such a daunting task. I didn't want to scare him by telling him how many bad haircuts I've had on my quest for a good one, but I tried at least 5 others before finding him, all with no second appointment. Scott's studio is super cute and cozy. I love that there is a parking spot reserved for a customer, and he only has one customer at a time, so parking is nice and easy (and free). My appointment was relaxing and quiet. I really didn't have a clear vision of what cut I wanted, but after looking at a few pictures with Scott and talking about what I want, we came up with a game plan which I think he executed with perfection. I have not been this happy with a haircut in 4 years. I hope he doesn't go anywhere any time soon because I'm already addicted. Scheduling was easy and flexible. It's just such a relief after such a long search to find someone I like so much. I know it's cliche, but I just can't stress enough that if you're in search of a good stylist you should absolutely give him a chance. And pricing is VERY reasonable. Well I just can't say enough about Scott and his amazing talent!! Scott has been coloring, highlighting and cutting my hair for over 12 years. His expertise is exceptional!! I receive compliments almost daily, about my hair color and cut. I wouldn't go to anyone else!! The space is beautiful and clean and Scott is very professional and nice. Used a Trubates coupon ($30 for $60 facial). It was a good deal for the money. The facial does not include extractions which was a bummer for me. Nice products but I kind of wanted to know more about what he was putting on my face. One mask included papaya and coco powder. Fantastic massage but could've used a little less pressure on the spine. Good experience but when I get a facial I was those black heads extracted, hence 4/5. read more
