House was built back in 2002 and the original roof was showing signs of the wear and tear our environment causes. Dillen came by to do a quote. Super nice guy! We talked about the process and he got up on the roof and did his inspection. He shared the results with me, showed me the things that needed minor repair, and what we should expect out of this treatment. Price was just about what we expected so no surprise there. Got in the schedule really quickly. Daniel called me the morning of service, told me he'd be there within 30 minutes. Arrived as expected. He too was a really personable guy. They got started. Treatment and cleanup was done on about 2 hours. Really easy. A couple of storms since our treatment and we are super happy!! Thanks to the team at Mills Roofing!

Unfortunately, one of the toilets has never functioned properly--it constantly runs and struggles to flush. Despite John returning several times, the problem was never resolved. We later hired John for other odd jobs, including installing a garbage disposal and fixing water backup into our dishwasher. As always, he was punctual and friendly. However, the garbage disposal was installed incorrectly, which caused new problems. He also accidentally caused some minor floor barrier damage while working in that area. To his credit, he offered to repair the damage right away, but I declined because I appreciated his willingness to help. The next day, when the water backup issue continued, we called him back. To our surprise, he asked for MORE money to revisit the SAME problem he had originally been paid to fix. Even after paying again, the issue still wasn't fixed. We ultimately had to hire another company, who immediately discovered that John had not removed the knockout plug or connected the dishwasher properly--something very basic for that type of installation. Overall, while John is personable and punctual, I cannot recommend him due to repeated problems, additional charges for unresolved issues, and ultimately needing to pay another professional to correct mistakes. Seems like an overall good guy trying to make a living but he needs to take his customers into better consideration if he would like to keep them.

This is long overdue . . . we had a small roof leak on our house in Tahoe Donner. We had a…read moreroofing contractor come out to repair the leak. Unfortunately, after their work, the leak was still there. He said there was nothing more that they could do. Since the leak was small, we decided to address this in the future. Fast forward one year later, we now have a second leak in the same area. I called 4 roofing contractors to address these 2 smaller leaks. Two never bothered to return my call. One did not show for the appointment, which did not matter because we had already met with Doug Nickerson and decided we would use them. Doug returned my call and made an appointment to look at our situation. Doug called on the day of our appointment to let me know he was running early, was that OK? Hell yes! After inspecting our roof, he was confident where and how the leak was occurring, and that they would have no problem remedying the problem. As far as scheduling, since it was such a smaller job, he said they would fit it in somewhere between jobs. Could be a week, a month, whatever. Well, two days later, I get a call from Doug saying they could get there that morning! Their guys show up, go to work on the leaks as well as give our metal roof a total screw down. They are done and gone by 1:00 pm. Two years later . . . No leaks and performing well. I have the company who will be doing any roofing work I need from now on. Very pleasant, great communicator and fantastic work. Plus an SF Giants fan for a bonus. I STRONGLY recommend them for any roofing work you have.

Ed and Shay helped develop and coordinate the project. Extra steep, three layers. Cedar shake. Everything to make it a challenge for the removal. On top of all of that there was rain, the one time we have rain this summer. It ended up being a 2 week project that they obviously had to do in between other projects. The roof came out nice and now fully vented up to code. Some suggestions for improvement for lobo: perhaps show clients shingle options before work has started. Also some communication leading up would be nice. But overall they did well on this challenging project.

Highly recommend Giant Roofing…read more We had our entire roof replaced, underlayment paper (ice & shield) and new tile, flashing, and new chimney cap that needed to be fabricated. We had 3 bids for our job. Giant was the least expensive but that wasn't our determining factor as we wanted to be sure the job was done correctly and by who we felt was best for the job. My first point of contact with Giant Roofing was with Jose. He came out to home and we walked the property discussing the job. Jose was extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind. His organizational skills were impressive. We'd have conversations about certain things and he never forgot one thing. Once we went into contract with Giant Roofing we had to choose our tile. Fernando offered to bring us samples to our home on a Saturday so my husband could be there. Fernando is a foreman, he is also very knowledgeable, professional and kind. I was also impressed he offered to come on a Saturday morning to our house to make it easier for us. Once the tile came in, we set the job start date. Every morning they brought out a portable potty for the workers and every day end, they took portable potty away. They protected our driveway when they were unloading the pallets of tile. They cleaned up daily, using a machine to find nails. The roof workers worked really hard every day, even during that week of an extreme heat wave. Everyone was friendly with a "good morning" and smile. Not that that is important for their work but it was something I certainly acknowledged. Whenever I had a question, either Fernando or Jose (and sometimes both) would answer right away. Communication was great. Fernando came out again on a Saturday (per his suggestion not my request) to help with a strange corner of flashing that needed to be addressed for our new gutters going up after roof was complete. When we had to evacuate during the fire, no vendors were allowed in our community, they never complained about the delay and were actually only concerned for us and our neighbors. They always went the extra mile for us. They didn't just say they care about their customers, they showed they cared. Lupe who works the front desk and phones (and more) was always patient with my questions re payments, and always professional and kind. Not once did I ever feel I was getting the runaround. We would never hesitate to hire Giant in the future. They are a local family business. Our roof looks great. We've had rain and snow since, no leaks! Very happy customers. Forgot to mention, Giant Roofing is a great company as far as being a team player as well. We also had our entire home re-stuccoed and new windows. There's a certain process in which each step needs to be done and sometimes that meant simultaneously, they never complained, they always assured me it was no problem.

Sebby actually took the time and walk on my roof from front to back. He took pictures of the damage tiles and texted them to me. On 11/13/25 I received my proposal letter for cost of repairs. On 11/14/25 the roof repairs started and was completed in about 3 hours. It took seven days to repair my roof from the day I called. Just in time before the rain started.
