When I called to retrieve it, I was told it had been taken to a lot 45 minutes away, which is completely unreasonable. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was shocked by the fees. They were not only outrageous, but felt like an outright scam. My car hadn't even been there for a full day, yet I was still charged a storage fee. How this is allowed is beyond me--it feels like they are intentionally exploiting people who have no choice but to pay. On top of that, the process itself is ridiculous. Being told to go pay in one place and then go somewhere else to retrieve my car is unnecessary, frustrating, and clearly designed to make the experience as inconvenient as possible. They should bring the car to the customer, not send people on a runaround after already taking their money. This company's practices are predatory, overpriced, and unacceptable. They are clearly taking advantage of people, and businesses like this should not be allowed to operate this way.

The initial towing company charged us $1100 to tow our car a little less than 5 miles to the collision center (with ridiculous add on fees by the way) and so we had Reliable Tow Pros do the second tow back to our place. Their fee was significantly more reasonable (~ $250) for the distance that they needed to tow it back to our place. Owner was extremely friendly and transparent -- the complete opposite of the first towing company that took our car. In addition, we were in a rush to get our car towed back to our place within the hour because we had to catch a flight at LAX and they were able to make it happen so kudos to Reliable Tow Pros! HIGHLY recommend if you are in need of a towing company that is friendly and communicative! For sure keeping them in our contacts for any future roadside assistance.

I was in shock and likely had a concussion. I was not in any condition to make clear decisions. Without my authorization, Tip Top Tow took possession of my vehicle after police called them. Nobody asked for my consent or informed me of my options. I have valid AAA coverage and could have arranged my own tow, but I was never given that opportunity. I was simply handed a card and told to call later. Now just days later, they are demanding nearly $700, including towing, storage, and additional fees. The storage fee increases every single day. I was also told that if the balance reaches around $2,000, they can sell the vehicle and send the rest to collections. The most concerning part was the complete lack of transparency. When I requested a written breakdown of charges, the owner (identified to me as Linnard) refused to provide it and said I would only receive documentation after full payment. Refusing to provide an itemized invoice is unacceptable and raises serious concerns. This happened while I was still dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic accident. Instead of professionalism or understanding, I experienced hostility, pressure, and zero willingness to provide basic documentation. After reading other Yelp reviews, I can see a clear pattern of similar experiences from many people. I asked whether the Prius had a catalytic converter cage installed, and they told me it didn't. However, when I took it to a shop to have one installed, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it already had a cage in place. While getting the tire pressure sensors replaced, the shop also pointed out that the tires--dated from 2022--had some wear and had been patched a few times. It's something to keep in mind, but not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought the car outright and drove off the lot as a proud new owner of a 2013 Prius. Whether you're financing or buying out the door, I'd recommend them--but do be prepared for some additional fees on top of the listed price, which go toward protecting both the dealership and the buyer. We were driving through the Grapevine on our way home…read morefrom Orange County all the way up to the Bay Area when our Honda Odyssey van broke down (total transmission failure) and we were stranded on the side of the highway off on the right-hand shoulder of the Grapevine. Nothing around but mountains. We had three young kids in the car and it was terrifying, as semi after semi hurtled past us. After calling 911 and being told we would probably need to wait a long time before anyone could get to us (and AAA telling us the same as well), suddenly JNO Towing pulled up and parked in front of us. They rescued us. While I was terrified and in shock, they both calmly and sweetly ushered us all into the 2nd seat of their truck, got our van secured on the tow, and offered to drive us all wherever we decided we wanted to go. As they drove all the way to Bakersfield and my husband and I tried to call rental car companies that would rent us a last-minute one-way rental (a tall order), they each got on their phones with car rental places in the area as well to inquire our behalf - without us even asking them to. When we were striking out with every company we talked to and it was becoming more obvious that we weren't going to successfully find a car rental that late in the afternoon, these incredibly generous men offered to drive us all the way home to the Bay Area. With young kids we ultimately decided we needed to get a little more space and seat restraints + boosters for such a long drive home, but we were so moved by their offer to do whatever they could to help in such a stressful and vulnerable situation, especially with three young children. They pulled over to a Costco, helped us retrieve a few things from the van, and stayed with us until our Uber arrived. Then they towed our van all the way back to our house in the Bay Area for us (arriving very late at night) and I think they may have even driven back home to LA that same night/into the early morning hours. They didn't act annoyed or put out even once. The entire ordeal, they kept expressing concern and care for us, clearly feeling bad for the situation we were in and offering help in ways we didn't even ask. They also offered their guidance about what to say when we took the van to Honda repair - how the transmission should be covered under warranty, etc. They went above and beyond in every single way, for a *very* good deal, all things considered (cheaper than AAA would have been!!). I will forever remember Omar and his associate (I regret that we didn't get his name!) because they saved our family, and reminded me that there really ARE good people in the world. Kind, good samaritans who remain calm under pressure and offer to help those in need. THANK YOU SO MUCH from the bottom of my heart!!!!
