Towing that's fast and easy. Very reasonable pricing. Charlie the owner towed this pickup truck off the side of the cliff. He had had to winch it out and it didn't take long at all. We got it on the truck and to the shop in less than 20 minutes .

Welcome to East Hollywood-ish courtesy the LA Metro Redline station of Hollywood and Western... The hustle and bustle of the intersection down into this subway haven is constantly busy, but the station itself is pretty spacious and laid back for the most part. A lot of urban flare and mixes of cultures, cuisines, and characters nearby. The TAP terminals for either purchasing or reloading your TAP card are almost always fully functional and well-lit. The Metro workers are always on-site and close by unlike a few miscellaneous stops you might hit I feel like they are easy to flag down or spot if you have any questions or issues here. Like most of the LA Redline stations, there is quite a bit of art, decorum, and appeal to the eyes and here you get a slice of nostalgia above the platform level with the old train replicas coming out of the walls, some multicolored checkered tiles, helpful visual ads and some unique seating on the platform level. It's a station with history, but also relevance.

However, this location doesn't limit the amount of people who can buy shuttle tickets from here, leaving way more people buying tickets than there are spots available to actually park. So, after a fun show at the Bowl and a quick shuttle ride back, you get to enjoy the luxury of waiting at your car that has been double, triple, or (believe it or not!) quadruple parked!! It's gotten so bad that one time upon carpooling with a friend, I took an uber home as I had an early morning and it was only until after I had returned home, showered and gotten ready for bed, that I received a text from my friend that she was finally able to leave this lot. 2 star because I've never had any issues w the Bowl staff / parking lot staff / Shuttle staff that work here.

A convenient way to avoid the hassle of parking at the Hollywood Bowl. However, there can be quite a mix of characters joining you, riding to and fro. Like the guy that just couldn't stop talking at top volume, immediately on his shuttle entry; taking his seat, the 15-20 minute wait before we departed, and non-stop throughout the 20 minute or so ride! About what you may ask? Answered: any and everything! Plus, he "knows" pretty much anyone; celebrity or athlete you could possibly think of. Rolling of eyes... We heard of his place of birth, education and career endeavors. His age? Yeah, we heard that too; I'll just say 60ish. Directing his rambling on and on to any and everyone within earshot. Did I mention how loud this guy was? And the return ride might find other characters boarding; for instance, the well juiced individual carrying one for the road in hand with the loud threat of "if I spill my drink everyone on this bus will be in trouble!" Quite amusing lol! There are various park and ride locales to the Hollywood Bowl to choose from; Ventura Blvd., The Los Angeles Zoo lot, Hollywood & Highland, Sylmar Metro link station, etc., for a minimal fee. We would have chosen Sylmar which borders our city of Santa Clarita but they were sold out. So much closer to our home. Next time.

Below is a…read moredetailed list of what's been done to me in the past year: Driver L: I asked for the ramp & I was refused. Instead, she forced me to stretch my legs and strain myself to get on the bus. Then she said see I knew you could do it. I have severe mobility issues, a history of falling, and an access disable bus card. It doesn't matter to them. On several occasions this driver has watched me get up, once I do, the driver hits the brakes and I get slammed into the pole/handhold. Finally, 99% of the time this driver pulls up too far from the curb, loading & unloading. All drivers cater to the people taking the train in to Burbank then bussing it to their job. The drivers wait for said working class until 5 minutes passed takeoff time. But they won't wait for me. On several occasions they have left me even though I wave my hand for them to wait. Additionally, all but 1 driver pretend not to see me then at the last minute pull over, same for dropping me off, going past my stop. All of them ask me where I'm going but no one else. They also don't wait for me to sit down. And when I board the working class or non-disabled sit in the priority handicap seats; not offering me a seat & the driver says nothing either. Also, I've been asked to get off the back which is street level not curb level so their working class can load in the front. There are 2 passengers that continually harass me once I load by rubbing & touching themselves. Driver L told me last week that their passengers can do whatever they want to me as long as they say nothing; but one passenger did called me a terrorist. Driver J: has yelled at me, passed me by, stop 2 feet from the curb loading & unloading but not to anyone else. He refuses to let me sit after I tap my card. Driver C & L stop the bus at my stop then as soon as I stand, grab my bags, & start to walk up the aisle they put the bus in motion almost causing me to fall. I have called & called the switchboard but nothing happens but fallout. Why am I treated this way? I don't work, I'm retired I am homeless I am a senior All of the above is discrimation [reported] as they choose who they're nice, too!!

If you know me, you know I despise driving - it makes me feel so lazy! As a runner it just doesn't ever make sense to drive a car less miles than I can jog but often it's just necessary. Unfortunately there aren't many opportunities for me to ride the metro in LA. I have however started taking it each time I go to theatre. It definitely feels far less utilized and common in LA than it does in other cities (domestic and abroad) but I'm totally satisfied with the quick trips I make around town when I do. I always keep a couple tap cards in my handbags so I'm ready when it's time. It's a bit cringe that I even have to drive my car to the metro stop but it is what it is. They've also been charging for parking for several years now, but you'll quickly learn in LA similar to NY this will still run you far less than valet or parking at certain places. I'd highly encourage choosing the metro over driving or ubering any day in most any city. $1.75 each way and no sitting in nauseating traffic is a win for me. I often ride solo or with a friend no issues either way.

I have also most recently used the metro to head into Hollywood and catch a show at the Pantages. The North Hollywood metro is at the end of the line and heads all the way to Union Station. There is a Throne bathroom that was recently installed so you can use the restroom. There is also a large parking lot so you can pay for cheap parking and then ride the metro to your desired destination. They also recently added those gate entrances to tap out to ensure that everyone had paid for the metro and didn't just jump the turnstiles. Overall a good station that I used frequently. Maybe not as frequently as Universal City since I live directly in between the two but a good one nonetheless.

Presumably hearing the complaints of the public asking for a safer transit experience so that more people in our city are likely to make use of public transport, Metro has decided to add in a frankly absurd number of "metro security" whose job it is to harass the general public. I was sitting on a bench downstairs in the station (having already tapped in and paid!) waiting for my friends to arrive so we could ride together. My friends were delayed due to traffic and I was approached by one of these "security" (and I do mean to use the term loosely) who told me that I was being kicked out of the station as I had been sitting there for 15 minutes without getting onto a train. I explained that I was waiting for my friends and that they would be arriving in the next 15 minutes but were delayed and this "security" employee outright told me he did not care and that I was kicked out. When I obviously came back 10 minutes later with said friends, I pointed him directly out to my friends and all of a sudden this "security" ducked his head and tried to hide. Seeing as how this is how they treat me, I can only imagine how awful they must be to others they view as beneath them. Truly an insane experience that I have never ever had before for all my years of riding.
