Maple bar (a bit squished since I had to walk home with it, and the frosting is real so it moves, but it's the taste that matters!)
    Nicole C.

This is by far the best donut shop in Visalia! Scotty's has been a Visalia staple for a very long time and for good reason! This is a simple, no frills, classic donut shop. My favorite is the maple bar. I have never had a maple bar as good as this one, something about that frosting is just so good! Also, their frostings are fresh and don't have that plastic-y look that some donut shops have. This morning I took my brother-in-law with special needs there, and an employee ran from the back to bring him a free, super fresh glazed donut, which was so kind! This place has a drive thru or a walk up window, but just remember that it is cash only!

Not the same. Something was off with the oil, it definitely needed to be changed. New people working. New owners?? Oh! And 7 donuts cost me $19.

One of a few donut drive-thru's in town. Cash only and good hours. This is the only place I go.

    Mmmm donuts!!!

Well what can I say these donuts are delicious! I never had a bad donut day here! They're always so puffy and fresh! I don't really like the drive thru but it's their trademark. LOL It was a treat to see them open on Christmas Eve! I decided to get a couple ended up with 8! LOL The blueberry old fashions and the glaze twists are my favorites but everything looked so good I had to grab some for friends too!!!

COVID-19 phase My mother was set on getting a cinnamon roll. This place had one. My mother called to see if they had cinnamon rolls and they did. We went to go get it and this donut shop has a drive-thru. Pretty great! It was simple and easy. Good service and great donuts! Recommended!

I recently visited Scotty's Donuts today and my experience left me thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied. The employee stacked 7 donuts in a small box on top of each other. As a result, the donuts were stuck together and the frosting on top of them completely came off. I'm not sure why the employee chose to stack them like this and put them in a small box, when usually they would be put in a bigger one. I live 40 minutes away from this donut place and me and my family were utterly disappointed when we opened the box to see these messed up donuts.

We would have taken pics of the donuts, but we ate them all. So here's the box.

Not enough hobos hanging out outside. More hobos please! The guy aggressively playing guitar is annoying, yet comfort in at the same time.

I've definitely been coming here since the beginning (before patio seating and mobile orders) haha thanks to my mom! It's stood out from the very beginning & I love how much they have expanded (3 locations now -- Visalia, Tulare, Fresno). There's something for everyone on their Menu. I personally believe that they have some of the best matcha's around. BUT... if you drink your matcha with LOTS of sweetener, you probably won't like a real matcha from here -- I say this because some will complain that it taste like GRASS... and well, it damn near is (green tea leaves) lol--all jokes aside, their drinks and food are all hand crafted and all made and / or roasted in house! I have not once ever had a complaint about this place. I love the ambience inside and out.. definitely a favorite here in Visalia! Service and time... always as expected. You are getting hand crafted drinks and food, so don't expect them to rush. ****Rush hour in the am and during lunch hours**** The workers are always very knowledgeable about their menu items & products. This was a Huge plus for me, because sometimes I like to ask the employees for their recommendations or personal favorites! They usually end up being pretty darn good Their pop tarts... if you can get them when they have them.. TRY THEM OUT!! Actually, all their pastry's and breakfast items are delicious! (I just always forget to take pictures) haha my mom loves their avo or seasonal toast/ my dad loves the breakfast burritos! I will always come here for food/homemade pastries, a drink, to work, or to hang out with my loved ones! Thank you Component team for making every visit a good one

You find it because someone told you about it, or because you were looking for a place that feels a little more city than Central Valley. Brick walls, hanging art, a patio out front call it rustic, call it urban, call it hipster. Whatever the word is, it fits. Inside, the place hums. Not the quiet hum of a sleepy café, but the full‑volume buzz of people who treat coffee shops like co‑working spaces. The whole back section was a sea of laptops when I walked in, a slow tide of remote workers drifting out as the hour passed. Young folks, older folks, groups talking over each other a mix that tells you this spot has become a kind of community hub, even if the noise makes it hard to read without noise‑canceling buds. I came for a simple moment, a London Fog and a book. The tea was good, made with Rishi, a brand I'd never heard of but wouldn't mind trying again. I sipped it slowly, trying to sink into the page, but the chatter kept pulling me back to the room. Not a bad thing, just not the right place for quiet reflection. Some cafés are built for solitude; this one is built for motion. The staff was friendly, your standard modern barista crew, casual, quick, and easygoing. They run a tight operation, even offering mobile orders, something you usually see in bigger industrial coffee spots. Pastries, sandwiches, teas, espresso, the menu covers all the bases. Finding the entrance was its own adventure. Two doors, a divider in the middle, and a moment of "Wait... which side do I go through?" Not a dealbreaker, just one of those quirks that makes you laugh once you figure it out. Lighting is interesting here, low lamps mixed with a flood of natural light pouring in from the center of the shop. It gives the place a warm‑meets‑industrial feel, like a café that grew out of a warehouse and decided to keep the personality. Will I come back? Maybe. It's a great spot for people‑watching, conversation, or getting work done. But for reading, for sinking into a book with a drink, it's a place that demands either silence from the world or silence from your earbuds. Component Coffee Lab is loud, lively, and loved, just not quiet. And maybe that's the point.

The amazing thing about Scotty 's is they have the best raised donuts I've ever had in my life. So I bought a raised doughnut plain with glaze, a raised donut with a delicious cinnamon nut topping, and also a chocolate covered raised bar. Supreme. My friends introduced me to Scotty's and said every time they come to Visalia they go by Scotty's. Well... I think I'm committing to the same factor. Visalia visit equals a Scotties run.
