They posted a fabulous deal and all their whole roasts, so I had to scramble my kids into the car and get down there to grab some bargains! Once inside the store, my first stop is at the butcher department. Ring the bell and a very helpful young man will come out and load my cart with the meats. The Brass family has owned and operated this business for over 100 years. Annually they celebrate their birthday by discounting many products throughout the store as a way of thinking they're loyal customers. Just another way of exhibiting their hospitality and care for the community.

I purchased artisanal bread, 2 lbs bananas, 5 pounds yellow potatoes, milk, eggs, 5 pounds flour, beef stock, mushrooms and blueberries, and the total was $24. Score! Like other discount grocery stores, come with a quarter to rent a cart, and bring your own bags, or be prepared to bring things home in boxes. It's no-frills, but it's quick, cheap, and easy.
