Owner Dalida Atallah has really brought something special to Rochester with Dado. One trip to her store and you will understand her aesthetic, the girl has impeccable taste. If that's not enough the store is impossibly clean with each of the garments hung perfectly spaced apart while center tables hold accessories. A type A personality who understands the importance of presentation? Whats not to like?! Be warned: Though Dado is just minutes down the street from Marshalls and TJ Maxx, it is expensive. The store carries high end brands like Elizabeth & James and more popular brands like French Connection but don't let that scare you away, Atallah has great sales (Up to 30% off) often so its worth a visit. Perhaps some holiday money could buy you a fabulous New Years Eve dress. It's possible you've gotten a glimpse of what Dado has to offer if you've attended any of the local fashion shows. Most recently a Dado show raised over $100,000 for the Wilmot Cancer Center. A small business helping a local charity makes my 8 minute drive to Pittsford worth while. Dado is fashion and class all rolled in to one.

Such an amazing service. This is one of those businesses I am just fired up about returning to once this chaos has ended. I always feel so welcomed when I come in here and always find something beautiful to take home with me. Even the way the store is laid out brings me joy! Courtney is so wonderful and great about giving honest opinions on what works and what doesn't. Some of the gowns come from Barcelona, Toronto, etc. High quality, and classic. After making an appointment, I was sent a survey to help sort through preferences. The day of I was greeted by Kendra, who was a very thorough consultant. She was able to help me in and out of dresses, and point me into the right direction as to what I was looking for. I appreciated the fact that Kendra was upfront about pricing on the phone, and in person. I didn't feel like there was any pushiness, and she just wanted to help me figure out what would genuinely work best for me. I haven't made decisions yet, but I won't hesitate to return when I have a better idea of what we are doing for our wedding. They save the preferences and the dresses you preferred in their computer system as well. Thank you Silk, for your professionalism!

So far, I've picked up a couple high-waisted skirts (one navy velvet patterned, the other black lace), both $89. They were running a sale that day so I ended up getting up to 40% off. They only supply a few versions/sizes of each piece, which is nice since it feels like you're getting a one-of-a-kind piece. The space is attached to Thimble Tailor so during busy hours (post-work) the changing room can get crowded with folks trying on their own clothes to get tailored and others trying on clothes from the boutique as there are only four changing rooms. It wasn't bad, just some people had to wait. Most of the brands were new to me, but Fatima hand picks what's featured in the store so I trust. Also, they're beautiful, quality made clothes so it's nice to add some newbie items to my wardrobe. It's a lot of gorgeous flowy tops, knit sweaters, great tailored jeans/pants, patterned skirts and dresses. A good mix of classic, but trendy items plus some professional wear, along with jewelry, clutches, and handbags. I keep tabs on their Instagram for new items in stock and pop over when something grabs my attention.

She spoke highly of it, so we stopped in. Long story short, I walked out with a pair of boots. Because I pack light when I travel, I didn't have room in my luggage for the boots. I wore them on the flight back to Chicago. When I returned, I went to a Boot Barn location in the Greater Chicago Area so that I could buy another pair. For the service at the Greece, New York location, they scored high. Their floor agents are good with recommendations without being pushy. Because I wanted to see what the boots would look while wearing an actual pair of boot-cut jeans, I tried on a pair of jeans with the boots and ended up buying two pair of jeans along with the boots.

I was told they could complete the job on time and went on to create a design because they could not use the google image I found (which I understood) when I sent him the one I made, again I was told that the photo could not be used and that I would have to create a different photo but I would have to go through a different company to do so. I sent an email back to Doug letting him know that I could do that, but I can also more than likely make it myself but I didn't know what he needed from me in order to make it work (what type of file/picture). He never responded to me. I contacted FASTSIGNS and they were able to have my decals completed with the first photo I originally designed in less than 24 hours. I'm disappointed by the complete lack of help and understanding from Doug when I was a respectful and understanding client who would have used them in the future for many more things.

We started off thinking we didn't care too much about the invitations--because we thought (incorrectly), who remembers an invitation? But once we started looking, we decided that we didn't want something out-of-the-box and boring. Amy created a gorgeous invitation suite and customized it further with a little art we requested. And she did these gorgeous letterpress invitations better price than the boring, digitally printed generic stuff we saw at invitation stores. When we received our invitations, I didn't want to take them out of the gorgeous boxes she packed them in--her packaging alone was Pinterest worthy! I would hire her just to wrap holiday gifts if I could, it was that lovely. But alas, we opened the boxes, assembled the invitation suites and mailed everything out. And the rave reviews are POURING in. I never expected it, but we are getting emails and phone calls from loads of friends and family telling us how our invitations are the best they've ever seen. Amy is a pleasure to work with. I would give her 10 stars if I could.
