Very interesting gift shop on N Union st in North Chili. Wanted to check it out because people say it's similar to Parkleigh. Walking in I was greeted by a few ladies behind the front desk immediately asking if I needed assistance. I checked out the store, lots of different items. From jewelry, clothes, greeting cards, pottery and home decor things. Lots of local items too, Rochester Liliac perfume and lotion. Everything seemed overpriced and felt more like a rummage set up. I bought a few cards that were very unique. I would stop again if I'm in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Nice large gift shop that is right in the middle of nowhere in North Chili, amazing that they have such a wonderful gift shop here! If you haven't stopped by you should, it's so full of so many cute gifts for everyone. I stopped there because they carry Brighton jewelry which I love but didn't want to buy online as I wanted to see items in person. I also bought another necklace from a different brand that filled the need. read more

I had gone to the Glue Factory to browse and hopefully find a little something to use a $23.00 store credit I had been carrying around from a return. The credit, I was told, was the same as cash. When I presented it at checkout, the owner, who had come to assist the ladies at the register with the certificate, said it was no longer valid because it was too old and asked where i got it. I was surprised that I had delt with the owner, as I found out afterward, because she was so flippant and unprofessional. It was clearly a store credit from them, and she refused to honor it. How silly that for $23.00, that short-sighted women lost a customer and The Glue Factory will no longer get any word-of-mouth business from me. I did not find my visit pleasant or satisfying. read more

Very nice little gift shop located in North Chili. It's out of the way, but definitely does a great job of providing a boutique feel for those out of the west side. In some ways it reminded me of Parkleigh, but it was much more calm and quiet here. The ladies working were very friendly and offered their help if I needed anything. But beyond that, they left me alone to browse. It's a bad idea to come into a place like this with money in your pocket because you will find something that you need. Or don't need but want. And there is an assortment of ideas for gifts. You can't go wrong. If you're looking for some good Polish pottery in the Boleslawiec style, you'll find some here. I'd personally go to Poland and bring some back for you, but if you don't have that option, The Glue Factory had some very nice pieces. In the end I walked about with a hard, and a cute little indie/hipster style purse that I plan to wear when I go to the Indie Dance Party next week. Small and light weight with a cool design. Come to north chili to a very unique boutique. You'll find ample parking, friendly staff willing to help you pick out that something special for you or friends. Plenty of Vera Bradley to choose from as well as poetry, fancy hand soaps, some clothing, jewelry and even a small children area with cute books and baby items. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little upset by the lack of customer service I received. My mom and I walked in and the two women there were talking behind the counter, no one greeted us. We continues to walk around the shop and not one staff asked if they could help us for the first 10-15 minutes! What really upset me was someone walked in after us and they were greeted right away. I've worked in retail and customer service is super important to me. We were acknowledged when we walked by the register but only to be told about the Christmas items being on sale. We weren't asked if we could be helped in finding anything. I would understand if they were busy and we weren't greeted but there were 2 employees and only 3 customers in the whole store! They had lots of items on clearance, however their merchandise was very expensive. I don't know how they will be able to stay in business. A butter dish I picked up was Polish Pottery (I believe) and it was marked at $103. Their clothes were cute but out of my price range. I think they really need to hone in on a target market, I don't know how many people live lavishly in the Gates/Chili area but I can't see them staying in business long with how expensive items were. read more

I will never shop at this store again. The employees and management are not friendly and everything is over priced. The only reason I shopped there was for the Vera Bradley and Alex and Ani products, but never again. I refuse to shop at a store that doesn't know how to treat customers. The sales associates do not say hello or go out of their way to help you find things or answer questions! Everyone who works there is very stuck up! read more

Not only does the name of the store leave a bad taste with consumers, but the customer service is nonexistent. Every time I have stepped into this store, the women have not only been unfriendly, but they seem to look through me. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a store in my life. Prices are high, workers are unfriendly and act as if they are too busy and above customers. I give this store a 10 read more

This is our go to place for birthdays, Mother's Day and Christmas! There is a WIDE collection of gifts and collectibles here, and I don't know what they use, but the shop always smells amazing! There's never been a time we couldn't find exactly what we needed (even when we weren't quite sure what that was when we entered the shop!) Staff is friendly and great with suggestions. RUDE! I as walking around the store with 2 bracelets in my hand looking at other things and someone came over to me and said they would take the bracelets and put them behind the counter. Basically, making me feel as it they thought I was going to steal the bracelets and my niece was with me and they took her bracelets also. This was not t my first time in the store, I have shopped there many times previously, but this was my first time with this very rude service. I will never shop there again!! I emailed the store and was given a very poor response they said they like to free up the customers hands so they can shop some more, but I was only carrying two little bracelet. They have many items other stores have so if you don't want to be made to feel like a thief I suggest you shop elsewhere! read more

I don't know what the woman from Spencerport meant when she said the staff at the Glue Factory were unfriendly and cold. I was there today 11/20/15 to buy a coat that I had called to have them put on hold for me. When I went to pick it up, they couldn't have been nicer, helpful and very accommodating. They even had it gift wrapped for me. It's a beautiful store that has been in business for many yrs. and it gets better every yr. I highly recommend it.
