I bring my daughter to Eidson to watch good quality rounds because I want her to train when she's older. She's two now and has been watching Jiujitsu at Eidson for at least 6 months. The vibe at this place is super chill. It feels more family like than a lot of the gyms that I've experienced. My daughter and I usually check out Will's Thursday class. Good quality rounds, and excellent instruction. It's not one of those gyms where it's some overweight guy who loves to hear himself talk, but never rolls teaching all these fantasy techniques. It's solid instruction and rounds. Even the kids that join the advance guys blow my mind at how technical they are. Speaking of technical, Wednesdays Muay Thai class has lots of technical instruction. Apparently one of the BjJ instructors brother teaches the class. Great Muay Thai instruction. Oh yeah, they also have Judo. You see quite a few black belts at the Judo. This is really valuable because not all schools have judo, let alone multiple high level Black Belts in attendance at every class. I know the head instructor, Andrew, also trains Judo and traveled to Brazil to train a few times. It's a super dope spot. I want my daughter to be a cross-disciplinary martial artist and Eidson is an excellent choice for us to begin her martial arts career.

The whole experience has been incredibly positive and rewarding. The best part about SocaBJJ is definitely the vibe and the coaching staff. The coaches are super positive, patient, and just all-around great mentors. They've built such a supportive and fun environment on the mats. The instructors strike the right balance--it's a nurturing space where kids feel safe learning the ropes, but it's also really challenging at the exact same time. The coaches know exactly how to push them out of their comfort zones without ever making it overwhelming. If you're looking for a great training center with an amazing community, definitely check out SocaBJJ. We absolutely love it here!

Not only do they train kids & adults; but the training goes beyond just physical skills. They instill respect and discipline on and off of the mat. The team and members of this community treat each other like family. All of the kids and parents have become regulars and acquainted with each other during classes. It's very comforting to see. The facilities are clean and if you're looking for a winning competition team... this is your place to be. Professor Bruno and his wife Lika are amazing. Professor Rafael and Angel are very loved by the kids too. So happy to support them!

On top of that, the gym culture is incredibly accepting. New people are welcomed, nobody has an ego, and it feels like a team. As a woman in a male-dominated sport, I really appreciate how respectful and comfortable the environment is. I always feel safe, supported, and encouraged to push myself :)

Also a…read moregreat place for kids, I don't have any but it's cool to see a space with proper classes like when I was growing up with a balance of the art and martial aspect of both for kids to understand early. TLDR: I've trained for about 10 years in my pre-20s era and have been training an additional 5 in my near 40 era. I am a refugee of a place that closed in Kearney Mesa and I am super happy to have found a new home at Rebellion! You can train the well known Muay Thai+BJJ BUT ALSO GET THE ILLUSTRIOUS JUDO AS WELL! ALL IN ONE ROOF! Coaches: Awesome and helpful for everyone of all skill levels Facility: Perfect balance of equipment and space to do stuff Community: Welcoming, friendly, respectful but also they do not bow to others unnecessarily - as a proper martial arts place will instill the same understanding of mutual respect between people, the give and take and is represented by the staff and coaches. Hard thing to find these days in the world. Intensity: Just right, you don't have to fear of physically overtraining here because you took 1 extra class during the week. You get a good sweat going, learn solid techniques and are ready to come back the next day feeling better and ready to learn more! Lastly - Fight Gym or Martial Arts place?: A balance of both, you'll learn technique at the intensity level you are comfortable at AND you won't be pushed to your physical limits every class resulting in overtraining. This is a place to come to and come often so you can get better, do you want to compete? Let the coaches know! Do you want to just learn? Let the coaches know! The journey is in your hands and everyone, literally everyone is willing to help. Finally a place without the crazy egos or "over friendly sales" aspect I've been through a ringer looking for places to train my love for Judo and Muay Thai and this place has it all!

He is exceptional at teaching experienced and also less-experienced students. The kids classes have a really good structure, which includes warmups, technique instructions, drilling and sparring. Coach Jason takes the time to explain every detail of a technique, ensuring that students of all levels can grasp the concepts and apply them effectively. My son has gained more confidence in himself and his abilities because of this. The people here are very respectful and are always willing to help out the lower belts to make sure that they are doing the moves correctly and are learning the proper techniques and habits. Aftermath offers a variety of class schedules to accommodate to their students. They offer morning and night classes throughout the week and have Gi and No-Gi classes as well. Whether you're a beginner looking to start your BJJ journey or an experienced practitioner seeking to take your skills to the next level, Aftermath has everything you need. I definitely recommend Aftermath to anyone interested in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You won't regret it. Oss.
