My 7 year old corgi has never liked getting his nails cut and it only got worse when he had a bad experience at another groomer. I brought him to scrub a dub and he melted with Chris. This is a dog who has a complete meltdown during nail trimming and acts like you are doing something so awful to him, but he didn't with Chris. I've brought my corgi several times since and Chris knows exactly how to handle him. Highly recommend! read more

Warning! Do not bring your dog to scrub a dub doggie on Main Street in Hackettstown. We had been using this business for years when Lori owned it. My dogs always loved going to see Lori, and she treated my dogs like her own. The new owners are not to be trusted! I will never bring my dogs there again. They called me to go pick up my dog. When I walked in the husband was drying a small dog on a table being held by a collar around its neck. The dog stepped off the table and was being hung by the collar while the man groomer had his head turned away from the dog watching his phone which was propped up. I yelled, but he did not hear me, and then the small dog fell to the ground. I then yelled louder, and he then turned, saw the dog on the ground, picked it up and put it in a crate. He then came over to me like nothing happened, and said the dog is fine. At that point the woman came out and I explained what happened. She simply stated that accidents happen, and that she understood why I was upset. If you are being paid to do a job, that is what you should be doing, not watching your phone with no attention being directed at someones beloved pet. I wonder if they called the owner of that dog and explained what happened. I had brought 2 dogs to be groomed, and at that point I just said give me both my dogs. She did not charge me, but I can never trust that they would care for dogs properly. read more

Extremely disrespectful to myself and my boyfriend. My cockapoo came back looking absolutely horrible. Never seen a cockapoo groomed this terribly. His face hairs were cut so uneven. She was extremely rude about my 19-week old puppy and the fact that he peed on the table. This was his first time being groomed with new people so it's expected for him to be nervous. She just kept complaining about the fact that he peed. I will never bring my dog back there and never recommend it to anyone. I could have done a better job myself. read more

Lori at Scrub a Dub took amazing care of my two very senior dogs. They were so difficult to handle. They were both afraid of being groomed: the bath, the driers, the clippers. They shook badly, and yet she managed to work with both of them and get them not only clean but beautiful! She worked so hard with them that a year later, I've adopted again, and I'm bringing a new dog with special needs to her. Again, she is incredibly patient. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else! read more

I have used the self service dog wash multiple times. The owner is great. I have never once seen her be mean to an animal or rude to a customer. They watch the dogs closely to ensure they are safe and happy. I love it here. read more

Love this place and the groomer and all the employees, very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming, the groomer is very educated in the animal industry. She worked at a vets office for years and knows a lot of information, if you have any question or concerns about your animal she knows everything from treatment and what the concern is. If she sees anything health wise going on with your dog she tells you, whether it's skin condition or ear infection or anything that is wrong so you know and you can bring them to the vet or keep an eye on it. I would recommend her 100% she a great groomer my dogs always look amazing and smell amazing when they leave and they are allowed to roam around the shop and play while waiting. She tells you the trust and how your dog was and everything that happened, if you can't hear the truth about your dog if it was alittle difficult then don't go because she tells you concerns and health concerns and if the dog was good or bad and not all dogs are good during grooming you just need to face that and not take it to heart but you should want the truth from your groomer so you know what is going on. I Wouldn't go to any other groomer! read more
