We have a membership at another car wash but I always try to give other spots a try when I have the chance as was the case recently with Scrub-A-Dub. We stopped by to wash our car and see what their deal is on memberships. Their system for getting into the car wash is a little clunky. Where we go, it's a matter of simply driving in. Here was less automated, which isn't terrible or anything, just something to note. The car wash itself washed our car sufficiently. We weren't wowed, but we weren't disappointed either. The prices for memberships were a bit higher than what we currently pay, so we weren't persuaded to switch. That said, if this spot is convenient for you--they'll get your car washed and have you on your way with some friendly conversation along the way. read more

Recently used both the oil change and the car wash. Oil change is supposed to check all fluids under hood. A couple days after work was done I was getting a brake warning light on my dashboard. Checked the fluid and it was quite low. Topped it off and a couple days later it was low again. Turns out the two rear brake calipers were leaking. Would have been nice if Scrub A Dub had actually checked my fluid level and informed me of abnormally low level so I could have pursued the reason for it. Brake fluid was not apparent on the ground as the leaking fluid was staying on the calipers, pads, and inside of wheel. Today I went to the car wash which was relatively busy. I had an obnoxious female employee in my lane trying to upsell me a wash above the basic level I was getting for free. She's holding the list of higher level washes in my face and kept saying "3, 7 or 11? 3, 7, or 11?" just to shut her up and get rid of her I took the $3 higher-than-basic" wash. After she came back with the change, I started to move forward in my lane and she shouted "No, you don't go yet." Then told the car next to me to go. A real piece of work! read more

I've always found their employees friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. Normally going to get an oil change fills me with dread and I force it upon my husband to handle. Unfortunately I put myself in the position of urgently needing an oil change and had to grow up and get one myself. Luckily I realized Scrub-A-Dub was less than a mile from my work and I headed over there on my lunch hour. I maybe waited five minutes, and was ushered into the bay. Immediately I was greeted and asked all the normal questions. I noticed they have cameras on multiple points of your car, I'm sure for comfort and transparency. It put me at ease, for sure. Also despite being surrounded by men, where other places leaving you feeling out of depth; they made sure to explain everything and didn't condescend to me. So... I was searching for a place that was open late that could check my oil for me. My husband had noticed some unusual oil leak spots on our driveway back at home in Illinois. Needless to say, he urged me to pull over and check the oil. I was feeling pretty clueless and helpless. I'm glad I found these guys, they Checked the underside of my car and noted a severe oil leak. They did have the capacity to fix this type of leak and urged that I minimally drive the van. They had to add three bottles of oil to my van. I ended up having to leave it in the Milwaukee airport parking garage and get a rental car to drive up to Green Bay. I am VERY appreciative of Austin and Carl! I found them by their large yellow sign next to the highway. They were truly a bright spot in an area that I did not know at all. They were very helpful in getting me to the airport, supplied me with an extra bottle of oil, and told me that they just want to make sure that I was safe moving forward. read more

I went here on Saturday because my car was dirty and desperately needed washed, but also dried since it was only 35 degrees. I found a coupon on their website and printed it out. You should too. I drove over here and there was no wait. There were two lanes open and they asked me what services I wanted. I handed my coupon over ($6 for the second best wash deal) and they took my card inside to swipe it. They came back with receipt in tow, marked my windshield, and I was on my way. You stay in your car the whole time (it was about 3 minutes), which is kind of nice and I could see it being fun if you have kids. The guy giving directions was not super clear. I don't think my tires were straight in the tracks and I was afraid I was scratching my wheels, but they ended up being okay. It is a soft touch wash, which means no brushes. It had cloths/sponges that were banging up against my vehicle. It went through all the cycles and the signs on the sides of the vehicle told me exactly where I was in the cycle. The dryers were high powered and dried most of my car, which was good. First complaint is that there was soap residue left in the corner of the window and the side mirrors and the back of my car (around the license plate) was still dirty. Second complaint: my wheels weren't super clean and I think they looked more dirty, since they were still dark around the center and clean on the outer edge. This is a no frills car wash. You won't get a vacuum or anything, that costs money and you have to do it yourself (there are coin operated vacuum cleaners). If you have a coupon, you might as well go here rather than shell out the same amount at the car wash, but it isn't anything special. I really like Octopus in Madison, but unfortunately I'm not in Madison and I don't know about the Octopus that is located here in Milwaukee. read more

I am clueless when it comes to cars and everyone here was super helpful. They showed me exactly what they were doing throughout the entire process and didn't try to force services that I didn't actually need on me. Prices are reasonable but not the cheapest, I ended up getting a synthetic oil change, filter change, and cleaning service for $107.53 and they checked/fixed my tire pressure for free. They always have coupons online, so don't forget those. My coupon came with a free car wash and they upgraded that even further to an Xpress Plus wash that never expires so I wasn't forced to use it right away. read more

This place is amazing. Went here for an oil change a few years back and now i go here for all basic maintenance. They are honest about their pricing vs other places, great suggestions on where to get services they cant offer. They dont push things on you, they offer or suggest, if you say no they stop. Friendly customer service. Speedy oil change, under 10 minutes, never had one done that fast. Almost makes me worry if everything was completely finished. After my coupon, the price was great, $27.02 but the charges before coupon didn't match what was on the price slip they showed me. BEWARE GIRLS! This place was everything I feared being a girl and going to auto places by myself. They will take one look at you and try to sell you things you don't need! I took my boyfriend's car in to get an oil change as a nice gesture since it was overdue and he was really busy. The guy told me I NEEDED to get the synthetic oil for the car after showing me the cap. Then he looked in the computer and said that the car hadn't had an oil change in two years and that the oil was very dark/ sluggish. He recommended to get an oil flush which would cost an additional $30+ and that the filter also needed to be changed. I passed on the oil flush and new air filter because I didn't feel comfortable adding additional charges to an already expensive oil change. When I got home and texted my boyfriend, he told me he got his oil change 7 months ago, NOT two years ago. The last time he went to this location , they ripped him off so he never went back. So please save yourself some time and money. This is not an honest establishment to be taking your car to. read more

I was really impressed by the customer service level I recently experienced here and I feel they should be commended for it. An oil change shop is a dirty smelly place to work. One expects to find filthy, surly grease monkeys with stubby cigars in their mouth and name tags that read "Cletis" or "Bubba" sewn on their shirts (with cutoff sleeves, of course). Not here my friends. There was a six car wait when I arrived. Just my luck, both cars on the rack were getting their transmission fluid changed. The attendant (or Customer Service Technician, to be more accurate) greeted me with a smile and a jovial tone. He was accurate about what my wait would be. The thing that impressed me most was that he performed as much of the pre oil change inspection as possible while I was waiting in line, thus reducing rack time once my turn was up. I also learned one important rule: Don't lie to the guy about how long its been since your last oil change. Just like your Dental Hygienist, or your Priest, he knows how long its been since you've been there. The dirty condition of my oil prompted him to suggest that I use the time idling in line to run some engine cleaner through my oil. Maybe next time I won't wait 5000 miles.... Decent car wash for $3.72 plus tax. Add ons are not really necessary. The spray wax they offer is not the same as really waxing your car. The employees were friendly. Most places will always try to up sell on other items.They did on air cleaner but I always do that on my own. They did take no for an answer without any hassle which I appreciate. There was an issue with Scrub A Dub putting some type of foreign material and oversized oil plug on my car, Jerimiah and the KIA dealership worked it out. However if they had not put that liquid gasket on my car there would not have been a problem. I feel there was no need to put their anti tampering lacquer on my car because other mechanics will not work on your car when they notice stuff like this. The KIA dealership would not remove the oil plug because the speculative repair could have required a new oil pan. I was glad it did not require major repairs and Scrub a Dub did pay for an inspection, oil change, oil plug and gasket at the KIA dealership. Jerimiah did resolve the matter to my satisfaction,however he could have paid for the car rental because I did not want to be there to get in a fight, as he is a little hot headed, lol, but i guess all is good. read more

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for an oil change. It was a GREAT experience. There were a few cars in front of me and the line still moved very efficiently. When it was my turn, the gentleman that helped me was VERY friendly. He told me my oil options and reassured me that my decision in Mobil 1 was a great choice. My entire oil change took about 10 minutes meanwhile they checked over all of my levels and topped off my barely low washer fluid. I received my free car wash coupon and was on my way in no time. He also told me I can stop by ANYTIME to have them check my levels for FREE. It's nice to know that quality customer service still exists.
