Remember wall to wall carpeting was state of the art 50 years ago. GROUT: Problem is that grout is a stain magnet once the sealant wears off. Before you know it 10 or 20 years go by and it really needs professional evaluation and cleaning. Apparently pets and their urine...etc. really does damage to the grout. So, while 'GreenWay' will give you a quote over the phone for carpet cleaning, they want to see the tile and grout first because some grout can be eroded away and safe cleaning is not possible. As a result, the owner questioned me carefully about the grout and whether or not pets were a factor. I had also measured the area carefully, so I think he felt he got a good sense of the situation and gave me a phone quote. When Victor and Victor showed up they looked at it carefully too and felt that some attempts at grout re-coloring had been attempted over the years. They said that the tile and grout would be cleaned as good as possible but not all the grout would come out perfectly because of that. Grout and Tile Cleaning: A truck-mounted cleaning unit with a hose/scrubber brush and a cleaner solution does the cleaning of the tile and grout simultaneously. The sealant is applied to the tile and grout after the cleaner is dried. That needs to be dried for a couple of hours at least before using the flooring again. Furniture: As you might imagine, in a perfect world, all the furniture would be removed from the area. In our case, we removed as much as we could and placed it outside or in an area that was not involved in the cleaning. The heavy couches and dining table were moved to the side. The area scrubbed and then moved back when done. That worked out well. Results: While I was initially focused only on the grout, The tiles got cleaned and sealed also. Just as explained to me, not all the grout came back to like-new condition. But, I was surprised at how clean the tiles were. By the next day, both the grout and tiles looked even better. I'm glad I got the grout/tile cleaning done. So, my overall rating and experience with "GreenWay' was 4 Stars. I would recommend them. Friendly, informative, efficient and experienced. They take credit cards. I can recommend them. Of course, get some other quotes to compare prices and compare the assessment of your grout and the procedures to be used.

Read the five star reviews and called GreenWay Carpet Cleaning. We wanted our carpets cleaned and…read morere-stretched. The carpets had been cleaned two years prior. GreenWay assured us they did these services together all the time. The next day their employee arrived, looked at the ridges in the carpet and immediately said he couldn't do it because the carpet had delaminated. He didn't even have the appropriate equipment to attempt to re-stretch the carpet, even though this is a service they offer. We proceeded to have the carpets cleaned; two bedrooms, a small loft and a 10 foot hall. It took about half an hour and cost $236. Not anticipating a problem with the quality of a simple carpet cleaning, we prepaid (on request) and pre-tipped via Zelle. On inspection of the job, we knew it was not a good cleaning. There was a floor lamp in one room, you could see that he did not move it to clean the carpet under it. Other than that lamp the rooms and closets (doors previous taken off) were completely empty. Later that day we called a carpet repair company to get another opinion on the carpet ridges. He arrived the next morning, with the proper equipment, re-stretched the carpet removing the ridges. The carpet was not delaminated. Upon seeing the excellent job we decided to have the carpets cleaned again by this company. The evacuated water from the second cleaning was full of dog hair and dirt (see the photos below). That cleaning took 2:15 and cost $180; almost half the price and an incomparable difference in quality. I have not included the second company's name at their request. UPDATE: Charlie, the company owner called me shortly after this review posted. We discussed my assessment of the work. He did offer to return to reclean the carpet. I appreciated his prompt response and his offer to make things right. UPDATE 2: I did go back and check, my husband paid with his Chase credit card and not our Chase Zelle. You were correct about that. The rest of your response was not factual and disappointing. During our conversation, you referenced a photo of my carpet; sayin it had ridges running in opposing directions. When I said I had photos of my carpet and the ridges ran parallel, you acknowledged that the photo you were looking at could not be my carpet. I have added four photos. Two, showing the parallel ridges in my carpet and two others showing my newly re-stretched carpet which was examined from beneath and determined not to be delaminated. To be clear, our dissatisfaction was with the poor carpet cleaning . It had nothing to do with the carpet re-stretching. We accepted your employee's assessment of the carpet and never claimed to have paid for anything other than the cleaning job which we were not satisfied with. Finally, why we didn't call you with our complaints: we don't give a company a second chance to do their job right. We just never do business with them again.
