Tried a couple cleaning services but nothing compared to Scrub. The cleaners are always professional and respectful; they also clean efficiently. Communication is always easy. We keep our place fairly clean and uncluttered, so we only signed up for monthly cleaning, which works out great for us. Everything is cleaned as expected - all toilets scrubbed, countertop wiped, floors vacuumed and mopped. Their cleaning quote is competitive. Would recommend Scrub. read more

Scrub cleaning regularly sent different crews to clean our house and they regularly left toothpaste on the counter, did not vacuum the floors (and later claimed that either they did or that my vacuum was broken, it's not), ignored corners and would always leave quickly before I could see what a lousy job cleaning they had done. In the past they've left large feathers from their feather duster just on the ground and this past week they left a rag clearly visible under the sink in our bathroom. There is an arrival window but at times they have shown up hours before the window starts and typically I get a 10 minute warning text for arrival only to be left waiting for an additional 30-45 minutes. When contacted for a refund they offer to send another crew to clean what was missed but I don't have time to wait for them to arrive and inevitably have to clean up after the cleaning crew I paid for. read more

Hands down - Warren and these girls handle biness. Three girls came into my filthy place that hadn't been cleaned in 6 months (dont judge) and made this place look brand new. There was some confusion about who to contact in advance of an appointment and they weren't prepared when the crew showed up, but Tabitha was so helpful and understanding and worked with us to reschedule the appointment. I am completely and utterly shocked by Warren (the owners) decision to end a 5 year relationship with a client because we "complained too much" about the absolutely shitty job they did 2 of the past 4 cleanings. I am a small business owner and can't even imagine telling a customer I don't want your business anymore. I assume they will be going out of business, since he sent me a list of his competitors to call. Our house is one of the least cluttered houses they clean, I know since I speak with the cleaners and they tell me so. If you decide to use this company, you have been warned that the service is spotty at best. We have cobwebs in almost every room of our house because they do not dust. Our house was cleaned yesterday at a HEFTY price of $179 plus tax (8%) and our kitchen counters were sticky and full of crumbs, the floors were barely touched and dirty to the touch. The bathrooms look like they were quickly wiped down and the house looked as if they were not even there. When I spoke with Warren on the phone and told him that this was the 2nd time in 2 months that our house was barely cleaned, he apologized and said he would refund our cleaning fee and then said he would send us the names of some other services we could try. I am in shock that he basically said to go away and stop complaining about a bad cleaning. Again, I can't imagine a company telling a long time customer to go call my competitor and walk away from someone who spends $350 a month which is $4,200 per year. He said he can't find decent cleaners to hire, but at the outrageous fee of $179 per cleaning, you would think he would try harder! I told him I would wish him good luck, but he needs WAY more than luck to sustain his failing business, perhaps some good old fashioned customer service would do him well? Next time this happens Warren, and you know it will....you should try and do whatever you can to keep your customers, YOUR customers. I've had two cleanings from Scrub so far, and although each was from a different team, they both did a great job. The first time, I was working from home, and they didn't seem to mind working around me. They also worked very efficiently; the three women on the team were in and out of my 2000 sq ft house in only about two hours. The second time, I left a key with the team and was very pleased to come home not only to a sparkling clean house, but also a friendly holiday card and two little gifts for my fiance and me. In addition to good cleanings, Scrub has been great about adjusting my monthly schedule, even when I request changes at the last minute. They are easily accessible via both phone and email, and they are always very friendly. I'm relieved to have found such a great company I can trust, and I certainly would recommend to anyone looking for this type of service! read more

In the past, we have been very happy with our house cleaning services but Scrub never really did it for us. It is difficult to reschedule, they only come to your areas on certain days and cannot predict when in the day they will arrive or what team will be assigned to you. The cleaning itself was usually ok - nothing stellar, but serviceable, and occasionally with a few forgotten items. However, my complaints aren't with the cleaners themselves, who were usually very nice. When I reached out to cancel, they asked for my feedback/reason for canceling, which I provided. They then . . . argued with me that my feedback was incorrect. This is very odd behavior. Before this argument, I would have potentially worked with them again, if I got desperate. read more

The cleaners are inexperienced and damaged my hardwood. There is even no basic training for the new cleaners; these novios cleanres use the same products for all surfaces. this company do not take this profession seriously, and do not take any responsibility. I called many times and asked for a professional cleaner, but definitely no care for customers. Customer service representative and manager is the same person and do not listen to the customer. I am BEYOND impressed with the Scrub! girls. When I initially was seeking out a cleaning company, I thought my expectations were a bit on the "high" side. I work from home, so wanted a company that was willing to accommodate me being there; I have a small dog, and [despite her not making a noise or biting, etc.) was concerned that someone may not like dogs/have a fear of them; communication was extremely important to me, both in person, and the ability to reach the company via phone; and most importantly--I wanted to trust the people I was allowing into my home. I am dumbfounded by how much the Scrub! girls have EXCEEDED every one of my "high" expectations--and MORE! They are unbelievably friendly--seriously, I love having them around. They love our dog, have no issue with me being around (not only do they have no issue, but they go out of their way to accommodate me by cleaning room by room), I am able to both text and call them, and I trust them 1000000000000000%! Aside from what I mentioned above, the ways that they have exceeded my expectations are truly amazing. They accept digital payment, so no need to run to the ATM or make sure I always have cash on hand; they are in and out in record time, with a spotless apartment; they ask every week via email for any special requests, and remember those that I have asked for in the past (ex: cleaning the tile walls in my bathroom and kitchen, which a previous cleaning company overlooked)!!! They also clearly state that they do not use bleach unless upon request, and always come prepared with their own cleaning supplies. I personally like bleach in the bathroom, which they have no issue with, and they are more than willing to use some of my favorite cleaning products for certain surfaces/areas that I find to be most effective. Overall, I am blown away. Shout out to the "Silver" team, who I have had several times, as well as the "Pink" team, who did our first cleaning. If you are looking for a truly fantastic cleaning company that you actually LOOK FORWARD to having in your home, can trust, have open communication with, and really personalizes your cleaning experience--what are you waiting for!!??! Really, don't hesitate to hire Scrub! I wish I hadn't waited so long, and could not imagine ever working with another cleaning company again. I know this review is long, but I am so impressed with Scrub! After growing up with several cleaning companies in and out of my home, as well as testing a few in Philly prior to landing on Scrub!, I think I can honestly say they are pioneers in changing the classic business model one expects from a residential cleaning company. Was okay, not exactly impressed. I needed concentration on floors but they did a quick one-time sweep with the mop. Concentration on floors, to me, means repeat washing of cloth and re-mopping 2-3 times. Seems like most cleaning companies haven't really grasped that concept. read more

Just used them for the first time and will update my review as I move forward with them on a bi-weekly basis. Team of four cleaners showed up on time and spent an hour and a quarter cleaning my five bedroom home. I have a lot of special requests about how our house is cleaned, due to really bad allergies. They really listened and adapted to my requests. They scrubbed the bathroom floor by hand, moved furniture to clean behind it, and I saw them vacuuming under the bed. Of course this should be routine but I have used other companies in Philly that skip things like that. It was $200 for a first time cleaning. (This is a big house.) Not yet sure what the charge will be for continued cleaning - will update. Warren, the owner, was extremely easy to communicate with, which I greatly appreciate! Treat yo'self. We finally decided it was time to hire a company to do a monthly house cleaning because we were tired of spending all our free time dusting, mopping, and scrubbing our bathroom. We got recommendations from some friends, and Scrub's name kept coming up. Warren, the owner, gave me a phone estimate and within a few days, a team of 4 lovely folks came and "scrubbed" our house from top to bottom. It was fantastic to come home from a long day of work to a sparkling cleaning house! For every cleaning after the initial cleaning, you get a staff of 3 of the same crew. We started using Scrub before the COVID-19 quarantine started and have continued using them once the state restrictions were lifted. I have been thrilled with every single cleaning that we've had, even with different cleaners. I'm always able to text the office the morning of the cleaning to get an arrival time window and the cleaners will send a text when they are on their way. This is particularly great during this time where their policy is to have no one in the house or to be restricted to one room for the duration of the cleaning. I am so grateful and always look forward to coming home after a cleaning because my house always looks fantastic. I would recommend Scrub to any of my friends or family members. I also really appreciate the fact that the cleaners that work for Scrub are considered to be employees instead of independent contractors, which means they get sick days/PTO and are covered under worker's compensation insurance. This means a lot to me since I know many cleaning service companies don't have their cleaners listed as employees and they don't get sick days or PTO so if they can't work they don't get paid or are not covered if they get hurt at work. This was one of the reasons I decided to go with Scrub initially and I'm so glad I did.
