Never been to a car wash with a belt that pulls you thru so i asked guy what to do. He did NOT tell me to put it in neutral so i didnt know. All of a sudden i hear and feel a loud banging. I thought something fell on me i was so freaked out. Turns out it was the guy banging his fist on my brand new car screaming at me to put it in neutral. Guy, i told you this was my first experience with this kind of car wash. As soon as i left i had to pull over to see if he had banged a dent into it. Thankfully no but i was so upset it totally ruined my day and kept me from going back. I purchased unlimited and i tried to cancel online but saying i have to write to them or something. I hope the Scrub-A-Dub in Warwick, RI is a basically excellent business. I read a few negative reviews about that venue here on Yelp. But I also just purchased a Scrub-A-Dub wash book for a birthday gift to a friend, who will probably use the Warwick venue. My late father used to bring his cars to the first Scrub-A-Dub in Watertown, MA back in the late 1960s/early '70s until another business with drive-through operations (which Scrub-A-Dub didn't have then) opened, which my dad preferred to getting out of his vehicle. Nowadays, I understand, Scrub-A-Dub has drive-through "tunnels." And I am also sure Scrub-A-Dub must be doing something right to still be in business after half a century, plus now with a chain of locations. My rating is based on how I remember Scrub-A-Dub had been "back in the day," how clean that Watertown business was and my dad and I watching through a window as his car was cleaned. I will report back here after I receive feedback from my friend following his first few Scrub-A-Dub cleanings in Warwick. I am hoping he will bring me with him to one of those cleanings, so I may drive through like I used to with my dad at one of the other car washes in Watertown. My dad used to get a kick out of my excitement (as an eight to ten year-old boy) going through the "tunnel." In fact, my father enjoyed watching my reaction to going through any tunnels (Callahan, Sumner, etc.) in the Greater Boston area. But my suspicion is my dad enjoyed that "underground" sensation too! read more

Depending on the day of the week I have somewhere between 3 and 6 kids. I drive between 4000 and 5000 miles per month for work so my car gets dirty quickly. Scrubadub is by far the best car wash chain in the area, and the Warwick location in by far the best location in the chain. In a very short amount of time I can fill my tank, wash the outside, have someone remove the 37 half-empty water bottles my 3-6 kids have left in the car, and use a cleanish bathroom. I hardly have time to finish my popcorn before my car is returned to me with floor mats I can actual see and windows without footprints, nose prints, etc. read more

I am very satisfied with the customer service here. The manager Bobby went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with buffing out a scuff mark I thought was caused by the wash even after we looked at the tape and determined it was there before entering. read more

My summation in this update has nothing to do with wage increase or price. It is basically an economic evaluation of this franchise as it relates to their customers. As I previously stated I am.a very perceptive person and realize that the Vp. was very candid in denying my price reduction on a vehicle that was done twice within a year. Despite the fact that within a short period of time, the waxing faded! My second point here is that management has decided to solicit new customers by going on 98.5 with "Mazz" Personally I realize that is expensive. My final point here is very precise. It is extremely obvious that the owners think it is okay and a way to increase their customer base by providing free vacuum to any person off the street. Now the owners realize a few things in doing this. First the machines are constantly clogged by this group. Let's call.them "freebies". Second it is much more difficult to drive through their facility with a constant barrage of freebies. Third, and most important this group are very caustic and don't give any thought of making the people who pay monthly or even on a one time basis wait. They even relish their status. Now management has informed me that the change in charging for vacuuming is coming. Unfortunately, I really don't think so. A final point and this is the absolute truth my wife's Mercedes has a very large scratch near the trunk and neither she or I drive this car. After being denied a price reduction for my Volvo. I certainly am not going to ask that Mgmt help with this. Eventhough I truly believe it happened going through the car wash.. I say this because the front door of the facility would not open and came down on the car. My wife said just forget so I guess I will. read more

I have the monthly unlimited plan, and use it quite often. The guys are always friendly and my car always looks good. The only issue I ever have is with the vacuums. Often, there are a few that have little or no suction. Not a big deal. 1) they're free and 2) I just have to pull up to a different one, and problem solved. I'm willing to bet it's because the previous customer blocked the hose. I hope they open another RI location. Some days, Route 2 is a nightmare. read more

The fact that they clean the interior of your car for $11 makes me a fan, this is one part of owning a car that I hate is cleaning the inside! I usually get a basic outside wash at $8 then have them do the interior, 3 people work on it at once so it isn't very time consuming. They have a great waiting area that you can stay and watch them wash your car and grab some snacks. Overall the job they do is good, there were some streaks on the front window and the panel but it was really clean and smelled great! Totally worth the trip. read more

My car is a beautiful a5 Audi that took on damage on both the rims and paint at this car wash within a week and a half. Regional manager was nice at first and then rude and tried to revert shame and blame back onto me and I asked why he kept bringing up damage I wasn't there to discuss and his response was... "You interrupted me 3 times." Well, that was because he was speaking over me. Ok.. so because I interrupted him, I now get to be shamed? Unprofessional. Markings came from that car wash, not cars hitting my car as he tried to convince me of.. I know my car and what type of marks there would have been if doors hit the paint. Not impressed at all. I recently went here for the first time after road salt from a recent snow storm had lightly coated my new car. I really only went to try it out in hopes that the under-wash would help clean some of the corrosive road salt from the undercarriage. I was interested in their specials and took a pamphlets what they offer, but since this was my first time here I decided to just get a single wash on the basic package for a one time $9 fee. Not recalling with certainty what was included in the most basic wash, I'm pretty certain it included an undercarriage wash and rinse, the hot wax and basic rinse and other basics that come with any drive through car wash. After about 5 minutes after exiting the wash, I noticed drips and drops of a whiteish liquid dried up all over my vehicle. I tried as best I could to wipe them down (defeating the purpose of negating a manual wash and using a drive through altogether in my humble opinion) and even had to re-wash my car twice with a bucket and hot water and copious rinsing just to get the residual wax drops off my car. Had I known it was going to be like this I would've been better off just bucket washing my car one time in the first place or taking it through a manual high pressure wash elsewhere. I'm not sure if it was the wax used in the wash or if it's due to the water being recycled that contains high concentrations of salt left in the recycled water, but it was futile in any event. Not knowing what was causing these drips and drop marks all over my car I'm left to assume, but having to wash it twice afterward by hand not only negated the purpose for the wash and $9 spent to begin with, but actually cost me more work and effort than if I had just washed it once manually on my own. Sadly, I wish this experience would've been worthy of a 5 star review, as I took the pamphlets with hopes and intentions of this being a useful resource worthy of the monthly cost and frequent visits. The pros of this place is the free vacuums (although not nearly the suction and attachment selection of a Shop-Vac at home) and their gas prices are usually about 10-15 cents lower than other local prices. read more

I had my car detailed here after my dogs made a huge, stinky mess in my car. I had an appointment so I wouldn't have a long wait, but I had to wait anyway. I'm guessing they took walk-ins because it was a Saturday. The staff was nice and I'd say my car was 90% clean. I found some stuff under a seat when I got home and also realized that since the cloth seats were still slightly damp for 2 days, the little spots they missed didn't show up right away. Had my car detailed and they said it would take two to three hours. After two hours I go back to check on my car, they said it would be another hour. Two hours later I get a call saying my car is done. I go to pick up my car and the entire interior is soaking wet and my dashboard hadn't even been wiped down. Too expensive. Dropped by for a wash and the trim piece on my tailgate was ripped off on 11/4/2015 the piece was right under the rear wiper they slammed back on my car after placing plastic on it. Filled out the paperwork with the manager and never herd back. Called today and was told not their fault. Will be contacting solve it seven for help. First of all the Car Care Club isn't actually free, it's $6.95 & free birthday washes are only if you joined the Club.The gas rebate cannot be combined with any sort of coupons or discount. Unfortunately I did not have the same wonderful experience as Martha Y. I dropped my car off for a $90 detail this morning and they called me back within 30 minutes saying it was finished? That was odd to me as most car details take a little over an hour? Came back to my car looking great! Although upon further inspection I found that they just did a quick wash and vacuum. My wheels were filthy! I went back in to bring this to the associates attention and she informed me that if I was unhappy that I could get it up to specification around the corner at there "perfection cart". So after coughing up just under $100 and complaining I was told to wash my own car? I will make the effort to go to a locally owned reputable wash such as "So Fresh and So Clean" next time where they actually put in some effort. read more

I've been using them for a long time and I subscribe to the monthly unlimited washes for $29.99, it's a good value but the value is diminished when 3 out of 5 times, you pull up to a vacuum, park, get ready to go only to find out its inoperable, there's either no power, no nozzle or no suction.. If there was an "out of order sign" I'd be more forgiving.. One day I pulled up to 3 different vacuums, it can be frustrating. read more

No stars. They scratched my 49k car with their buffing rags. When the manager came out he was rude, was talking over me saying it was not their service that put the scratches there. At one point the manager was screaming at me two inches from my face. Their service is costly and you don't expect to be treated like apiece of diet when you are a consumer. Had an exterior car wash a week ago. After the wash the windshield was gritty as well as the exterior of the car. This grit was not on the windshield when we entered the wash. Did they spray something on that caused this? Also had the under wash and rust inhibitor, so have to wonder how effective that was. Inexpensive for a basic wash and interior ($20 all together). Usually they're pretty quick, but for the interiors they have an inside waiting area with AC and wifi. They take the floor mats out and thoroughly wash them which is good for getting sand out in the summer. We make it a point to come here from newport during errands. read more
