San Marcos Academy is such a special community. My son, Parrish, started in the Spring of 2022 as a…read moresophmore boarding student. We realized he was was craving structure and independence, and we were looking for a school that would allow him to grow into the man we knew he could be. When we visited SMA and met with the Director of Admission, Corey Boyer, and some of the faculty member, we realized it was what we were looking for... a place for him to grow and mature within a supportive community. SMA is close enough to Houston that we are able to cheer him on at games, go up for special events, be a part of his life, yet also know that when we can't be there he will be a part of a community that is like a second family to him. Parrish has thrived at San Marcos Academy. He went from not caring much about school to becoming a straight A student! Amazing! He has taken advantage of many of the opportunities available to students such as, playing Varsity baseball, where he was named First Team All-District, running Varsity track, being chosen as a Student Ambassador, participating in the ROTC program (one semester required for boys), was a lead cast member in the school musical, Frozen, and he is looking forward to playing football this upcoming year. Our relationship with our son is the best it's been in many years. At SMA he has as been afforded the opportunity to grow and mature through taking responsibility for himself as a boarding student by learning to manage his time, implementing new study habits, and . I know that he will be a confident young man who is prepared for college and entering the "real world" upon graduation. I can't say enough about this fabulous place. I know he is right where he is supposed to be. He is looking forward to starting his Junior year next week and plans to graduate from SMA in 2024.

During that year, I was in a horrible mental state because of those kids, and the adults that would not listen to me when I tried to reach out about the problems I was having. Do NOT take your kids here, unless you want them to not be cared for. They also did not do a very good job of properly and in depth teaching the class. I had, and still have, problems with my education because this school did not pay attention to the students. There were no chances for tutoring, or even extra help from a teacher because the teachers were constantly on their phones. It is a very money hungry school, and is NOT worth the price. They also completely ignored the fact that my parents signed a contract saying that in pictures posted to social media, my face was not to be shown. There are at least 20 pictures of me public on their Facebook page. This school does not respect you, or your children.

I love this school. I went here when I was a child and missed it when I entered public school. Now,…read moremy 2 daughters (ages 5 and 3) attend Wonderland School. This the first school/daycare that when I pick them up, they don't want to leave! They are always in such a good mood. I can tell their teachers really care about them too. They keep open communication and give prompt responses through the school app between the teachers and parents. Also, the class sizes are smaller. Like, 8-12 kids per class. My girls have learned so much just in their first semester. I highly recommend Wonderland School.
