84st Watch Repair - Here is proof of the screw that was stripped and damaged

    84st Watch Repair

I called in advance to get pricing on a few watches as they all need to get the battery replaced…read more Each watch was $15 and they did it very fast. This is also a barber shop which confused me at first but as l my as the service was quick I didn't care. I will return for any other watch repairs.

Total amateurs. Don't even bother with this barbershop that pretends to also be a "watch repair…read moreshop". They have literally a shelf on the right side of the entrance. THAT is "84st Watch and jewelry Repair" as listed in Google. What a joke. Not only did he try to overcharge me (by grossly exaggerating the amount of time he worked on my watch by 12X- his claim of 4 hours versus professional opinion that estimated "maybe 20 minutes"), he also stripped one of the screws of my watch as mentioned by other previous one star reviews. He also scratched the face of my watch. In addition young man who attempted to replace my watch band has a serious attitude. He tries to be a good con artist. I could see him pausing every time I asked him a question thinking of just the right answer. Not only is he not professional, but gets impatient if you ask him too many questions. This "repair" shop (barbershop) has a really seedy vibe like some cheap hole in the wall you'd see on 42nd street. The kid is a hyped up, impatient, amateur and nowhere near the kind of professionalism needed to do a job like this. Instead I went to "Alex Jewelry" at 1435 Lexington Avenue between 93rd and 94th Street. It's a real jewelry store with professional people who care about helping you. An absolute pleasure! GO THERE instead and don't waste your time with this joke of a "repair" shop that is just a low end tacky barbershop.

One pair of black dress shoes had a worn-down heel edge, while the other had a detached welt that required repair. I had a wonderful experience working with the owner, Arnold, and the shoe expert, Felipe. From the images I provided showing the shoes before and after the repairs, they quickly assessed the necessary work and skillfully restored my shoes. They replaced the heels on both my yellow and black dress shoes, repaired the sole of my yellow shoes, and expertly reattached the welt on my second pair of black dress shoes. The entire process was incredibly fast--everything was completed in just two days! The shop's location is perfect, right next to the subway station entrance, making it easy to drop off your shoes before or after work at your convenience. The quality of their craftsmanship exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of shoe repairs. I chose this shop after reading a review from a long-time customer who has trusted Arnold for over ten years, and now I understand why. Excellent craftsmanship and outstanding service!

I'm recommending. If you can't get merchandise you want from Apple make it yourself. The decal came with my iPad I believe. I wanted a iPad screen saver installed for it too. I had a very disappointing experience with iFix NY Midtown regarding my ROG Ally X repair…read more Last Tuesday, they texted me saying they had diagnosed an issue with the left analog stick controller board assembly, which was affecting input and control response. They said the repair would include replacing the left analog stick controller board assembly to restore functionality. The quoted cost was $230 + tax, with an estimated turnaround time of 2-5 business days. After that, I had to call almost every day just to get updates. Then today, I received a different message saying they had received replacement parts, but not the full set. They said they could replace the damaged analog sticks themselves, but were still waiting for the round LED light rings around the sticks. They also said they could return the device with the controllers functional, but the left stick would have no LED light ring. That was concerning because the original diagnosis and quote were for the left analog stick controller board assembly, but the later message described replacing the analog sticks themselves and leaving the LED ring unfinished. For $230 + tax, I do not think a partial or incomplete repair is acceptable. When I went to pick up the device, I had already called and was told it was ready. But when I arrived, I still had to wait around 30 minutes while they reassembled it. That is not "ready for pickup." To be fair, the owner was there and was kind, apologetic, and professional. My issue was not with him. My issue was with the repair technician handling my device. His attitude was horrendous, and the interaction felt careless and unprofessional. The worst part is that after testing my ROG Ally X in-store, the left trigger felt worse than before, and the light around the stick was no longer working. I brought the device in for a specific repair, and I left feeling like it had been returned with new problems. As someone who runs a tech company and understands customer service, I was shocked by how poorly the repair side of this was handled. I had other products I was considering bringing to them, but after this experience, I will not be returning. A kind owner cannot make up for a disorganized, incomplete, and careless repair process.

The upper eastside facility has a fitness center, swimming pool and a variety of classes (salsa dancing, guitar lessons, tech instruction.) Some classes reflect the large community of Asian seniors including English communication skills for Mandarin speakers. But there's also advanced beginner German! Unlike Saint Peters, this center operates seven days a week. They also offer three meals a day for a voluntary contribution of $1 for breakfast, and $1.50 for lunch and dinner. The fitness center borders on adequate -- a small room with some malfunctioning equipment, and not much of it. (I look at this as an alternative to Planet Fitness whose NYC locations pale in comparison to my Planet Fitness in Ardmore, PA -- but maybe not.) When you enroll, you can participate in programs at all Lenox Hill locations. (Besides St. Peters Church, I believe there's a center in the Village.) I'm a newbie to all this -- new-ish to town, but well over sixty! -- and from what I can tell, the staff and folks who participate are friendly and come from all walks of life.
