It pains me to write this review, but we have to. We had Joey and his assistant replace a sliding door mechanism for us in April 2023 and they did a first-rate job. We also put a down payment on a sliding screen door. Literally the next day we found out that they had experienced some dramatic and unavoidable circumstances so we waited. It's now October and even though we have not paid the balance on the invoice for the sliding door, we've heard nothing. I did contact them once, called the number they told me to call (Door Pros) and heard nothing. Now the mailbox is full on the number listed. Honestly, if we need to write this off, we're happy to do that' I'll take the review down if necessary or revise it. They do great work but how does one get hold of them? read more

People tend to be vocal when they are angry or upset and I think it should be the other way around. So I'm taking the time to leave a great review for this company. I have an 8 foot sliding door that goes out to my backyard that we use everyday. It's been rather difficult to use for sometime now. We got a couple estimates to replace the door and we were seriously considering replacing it until we had SDS come out and tell us the door was in very decent condition and that they could put a new screen door with a new channel on it and replace the single wheel rollers with heavy duty double wheel rollers and dramatically improve the function of the door. And of course it was at a fraction of the cost of a new door. We decided to hire them to take care of the door and they did just that. The door now slides beautifully like a new sliding door and the newly installed screen door is attractive as well as fully functional unlike the old screen door that just didn't work anymore. I highly recommend this company. They are reasonably priced and the crew they sent out were professional and polite and respectful. read more

I immediately made an appt with them for a few days later because they also included an estimate, which most of the others who called or texted DID NOT. I spent the next few hours turning down the others you called to keep my commitment with SDS. A rep arrived on schedule a few days later but said he would need to schedule another day to do the actual work! I was NOT HAPPY. I explained that i had left more than sufficient detail in my request and confirmed via the original text that I expected the work to be done at that time. ANd I had turned down numerous other offers, including same day service because of my commitment,. They IMMEDIATELY called another available contractor to come out and make the repair. They arrived within 30 min and had the job done in about the same amount of time. Door has been working awesome ever since - literally one finger operation. In summary, they made a good first impression with the original text including estimate; they scheduled to come out within a reasonable time; they arrived on time; they made a mistake not sending someone to do the actual repair, BUT they acknowledged the unfairness and immediately made amends. The job was done promptly and efficiently by a sub contractor. 3 stars is for admitting error and 'doing the right thing' -- and including estimate up front. After using three other service providers we were referred to Joey at SDS. He and his team came to our home to evaluate the numerous and larger patio sliding doors we have. Exceptional quality, service and follow-up. From all the wind and sand in my interior patio--plus previous owners hosing it down--I had to lean on and push my sliding glass door as hard as I could to open and close it. Joey replaced the rollers, and I can now open and close it with one finger. What a difference! Joey and Robert came on time, and even gave a half-hour courtesy call to confirm. They were both masked and took my temperature, as was unmasked. They were professional, and Joey took the time to explain everything, from why he chose a larger roller to maintenance... how to clean with brushes only, no water, and spray with silicon. He even gave me a professional track brush. In addition, he tested it over and over, and made adjustments, until it was perfect. In fact, I overheard him say, "It's not perfect yet." These guys came out and did a great job making a 40 year old oversized slider work again. They could have over quoted and tried to pressure us into replacing it, but instead they gave us a competitive price to just repair it and keep it operating. I had 2 previous quotes and without them knowing it, they gave me the same price as my two previous quotes. Fast, skilled and even fixed the latch issues without an addition charge, even though they were there to replace the rollers. I'm a DIY'er and had considered trying to replace the rollers myself. 1. What I thought I would do was completely wrong! 2. I would have likely damaged the door after seeing how they did it. 3. I would have taken hours and hours and they did It in less than one. 4. They used droop clothes and cleaned up with a vacuum. When was the last time you had any contractor actually clean up! Great job guys.
