I reached out to Hughes Home Services for the first time to work on the exterior of my home that had many areas that needed addressing . The project took longer than anticipated to no fault of Hughes. I kept adding more things to be done along the way. Often when doing repairs or remodel on a home it is discovered that more needs to be done than anticipated. Jason was sent out to do the job. Hughes along the way described Jason as an artist which he really is. He was very detailed. There was no complaints from either Hughes or Jason about the job getting bigger and bigger . Hughes came by where I work to discuss the job in detail early on which shows me he cares and that goes a long way. I felt Hughes was very fair with the pricing of the job considering how it grew. The response was almost immediate even though it was a Saturday late afternoon/evening that I requested a quote. 7:26pm was the time that I sent my address to Hughes. Darryl came to my front door shortly after that, took off his shoes, fixed a drawer from my file cabinet and was gone by 8:00pm. And the actual charge was lower than the quote. Reached out to Hughes Home Services based on their location and rating. Response time was quick. I advised that we needed some window cornices customized (purchased from Home Depot) as the standard shape would not allow for cornices over windows in corners. Liam came to see the cornices and to determine if he could help us. After a few minutes of looking at what he had to work with, he decided that he could miter the two cornices that met (where we had corner windows) and would be happy to hang those and the rest. Took him all of 3ish hours to get the supplies he needed, make the cuts and hang the cornices. All for a very reasonable price. He cleaned up after himself leaving no indication he'd been here (other than all the new cornices hanging over our windows). Five stars all around for this company...so glad to have found them!! read more

My girlfriend and I have had Hughes work on a few things in our new house in the La Quinta Cove and everything has turned out great. He's very responsive, knows his stuff, and is actually fun to be around (which is a nice touch). He had all of his own equipment and kept our place very clean as he moved through the projects we had for him. He also was very, very clear about us being happy with his work before finishing up so that we were 100% satisfied with everything. Specifically, the first project he worked on were removing a lighting fixture over our dining room table, patching it up, and then running two new pennant lights in it's place. He handled all of the drywall work as well as the electrical with no issues. He's apparently done a lot of these types of jobs before, which I could tell by how easily he knocked it out for us. The second job was mounting some lights and shelving in one of our bedrooms, which was super easy for him to take care of and would have probably taken me a few hours to do myself (with way worse results, I'm sure). As I'm typing this I've already scheduled Hughes to come back again to help us mount a really heavy mirror in another bedroom as well as get our outdoor lighting up and running how we want it to look. It needs some serious love. Anyway, if you're around La Quinta / Palm Desert area, I couldn't recommend Hughes enough. Just don't take up all of his time, we still have a few more projects on our list. :) read more

We needed an articulating bracket for a tv mounted on a wall and I called Hughes and they were very responsive. We scheduled a date and time and they notified us when the handyman was on his way.
