I have been a customer of Door Pros for over 15 years and have trusted them with multiple properties in Desert Hot Springs, so this experience was very disappointing. After their technician inspected my garage door, he recommended and installed a new premium LiftMaster opener. Only after the installation was completed and my credit card was charged did he leave a voicemail informing me that the springs, cables, bearings, and rollers were worn and that the excessive resistance from these components could potentially damage the brand-new motor he had just installed. My issue is not the additional cost. Had these problems been disclosed during the original inspection, I would have approved the complete repair immediately. My concern is the lack of transparency and communication. Significant issues affecting the operation of the system should have been explained before recommending and installing a new opener. After more than a decade of loyal business, I expected a higher level of professionalism and honesty. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in the company and question whether customers are being given the full picture before work is performed.
