I took my mom here for her birthday to buy her first seafood boi which was her request. We usually get her food from city Island but she wanted something different. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived the place was very clean and had customers coming in and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't eat seafood so I really have no other spots to compare this one. Staff were cool and worked fast. The staff were very friendly and patient. We both were trying to figure out who what and when. My mom is such a picky eater and usually sticks to what she knows. I was telling her to try this and that. lol. She picked out he ingredients and her boil looked a little skimpy compared to what I see from others. We waited about 10-15 minutes for the to steam it. She complained they didn't have potatoes. lol My mother purchased some fish and oysters to cook later. I saw reviews about the fish not being good but she said they were fine. She also ordered a fried shrimp and fish plate with fries to go. There were alot of people coming in for cooked seafood to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were seats to wait for your food but not to sit down and eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall she enjoyed all of her food and said she would return but also wanted to check out some other spots for her boils.

It is a small wet market, you pick your seafood, and they will cook it for you. It is like cajun boiled seafood, tasted good and reasonably priced. Paid $35 for lobster, a dozen big clams and few pieces of tiger shrimp. Service was pleasant and quick.

The Food taste great. The service was fast. They take cash & card. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is a typical fish market smell lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have rows & rows of fish. Prices are pretty decent. We order scallops with fries and an order of crab sticks.

What can I say about this place? Quality Seafood and a good price. I came here with my co-worker from the bronx to Harlem to try this place out. We heard it was good and they weren't wrong! You can choose what ever Seafood you want and get it cooked! We went for the fried stuff tho. I got fried shrimp, scallop and whiting with French fries. I also added a lobster to that meal. Only $26 later I was very happy! The service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a big place. Not much seating but they had two benches I saw I sat and ate at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely come back here some day.

Fresh seafood of all types . Take with you or her or cooked in the spot. The steamed boils are amazing . We have the lobster, rock crab, 10 jumbo shrimp , king crab legs potatoes and broccoli. They cut lobster tail for you. They season not up for you nicely with garlic onion powder and seasoning. Put in bag load up w butter and wrap it up to go for you on styrofoam container. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a seafood market so expect fish smells etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] friendly service affordable . Highly recommend if you're in Harlem

Unadorned tasty fried Blue Fish Sandwich at Sea and Sea - big enough for a hero roll

Sea and Sea is a super, old school, unfancy local fish market that you can buy everything from whole fish to basic prepared seafood, like a fish sandwich. The fair priced fried Blue Fish Sandwich I've eaten was simply prepared, unadorned by lettuce or tomato, on whole wheat bread with two huge, tasty pieces of fish. (When home, I added tartar sauce.) Check out how they were so much larger than the bread slices that they perhaps were better placed on a hero roll. I'm too timid to cook a whole fish and have yet to venture into cooking one of their filleted fish or fish steak, however I'm amazed to see their wide offering, which looks so fresh.

I come here for steamed seafood. Are usually get stained red snapper with broccoli and corn on the cob and sometimes the blue fish with broccoli and potatoes. They also have a fried food section. I think the prices are pretty good.

Every stone crab in this bucket is dead. Every single one. They know and continue to sell this garbage.

I ordered the fried salmon, steamed shrimp with potatoes, corn, and broccoli, plus lobster tails and crab legs--and every single item was cooked perfectly. The fried salmon was crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, and seasoned just right. The steamed shrimp were juicy and full of flavor, and the potatoes, corn, and broccoli were cooked to perfection and soaked up all the delicious seasoning. The lobster tails were sweet and buttery, and the crab legs cracked easily and were packed with fresh, tender meat. What really took everything to the next level was the green garlic and cilantro sauce--fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. It complemented every dish perfectly and added an extra kick that made the whole meal unforgettable. Portions were generous, everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell care goes into the food. If you're craving a satisfying seafood feast, Ana's Fish Market is a must-try. I'll definitely be back!

Not only does my son tell me what happened but the manager tries to deny a refund and defend his position by showing me the video which is how I found out about the boiled shrimp being fried. So not only does he confirm what my son said but you show me the video of the added infractions. The manager initially refused to give me a refund and after going back and forth for 15 minutes, did so begrudgingly after another customer overheard and told him he was wrong. He also refused to call the owner and said he was "in his country" (Korea) because he would say the same thing and it was like 2AM. I don't believe that for a second. You can also add veggies to your order for a few dollars more, veggie options also posted on the wall. I grabbed shrimp, scallops, and a fillet of salmon and had them all steamed. There was also the option to fry them. The salmon was the best of the three - I would get this again. The shrimps were standard but on the smaller side because I got the regular size. The scallops were hard as I didn't even finish those. I paired cauliflower and yams with this order. My partner and I shared and it was definitely enough for the both of us. We had leftover veggies in fact. I love that they have a bunch of seasonings on the side so you can add whatever you want on top. The guy shows you your food before he puts a lid on them so you can add like liquid butter, Bay, lemon, salt and pepper, etc. I added the lemon seasoning on top of the salmon and it was so good. They have frozen seafood in the fridge behind the cash register. I would pick up one of those boxes first see if I was doing a seafood night. They have a good selection of seafood to choose from and I love that you can grab what you want yourself. What I really noticed is that it doesn't smell too fishy in here, it just clearly smells like the sea.

This is a takeout only place and service was prompt for me on a recent snowy Saturday afternoon. I ordered the $18 catfish and chips along with $22 eleven piece scallops. They were very generous with the fries accompanying the catfish. The fries were very good, not top flight, but very good. You can do far worse. The catfish was good, but there is competition in Harlem that puts this catfish in the rearview mirror. The batter is not as crisp and seasoned and the catfish fillet strips are a bit on the thin side. They give you about seven or eight strips, which is satisfying enough for $18, but you can do better in Harlem. The scallops were a bit more numerous that eleven pieces, probably around fourteen or fifteen pieces, but these need to be more numerous, given their teeny tiny size. You can spend $22 far more wisely here or anywhere in Harlem. They are tasty little fried scallops. If you have lemon and cocktail sauce with the radish at home, that would add to their impact considerably. However, nothing can make up for their diminutive size. Here, size matters. A Taste of Seafood offers good seafood and a clean environment with friendly service. I told them not to overcook the scallops and they did not overcook the scallops. So I give points for that discretion in the kitchen. 3.3 stars!
