No gimmicks or whacky stuff, just honest products! I have a special needs dog who is allergic to most foods and they helped me pick the best food for her needs. She's been so healthy and happy since! They sell only the best pet foods, bird feed, and garden plants and flowers!

Many pure breeds are available, and customers may even specially order breeds if they are not currently in the store. I do not know how much the puppies cost, but I could imagine the approximate prices. Financing is available through a few lenders. I walked into this store when I was shopping in the mall. The puppies were kept in displays that have grates on the bottom and blankets. Other animals such as rats were also available for sale. Several aisles of shelves were stocked with merchandise, and the aisles were crowded with boxes on the floors. I own a dog, but I did not find anything to buy for her. I felt disappointed that I did not see many products for cats.

Their prices are reasonable, they run great specials and if there is something you want there's a good chance they can order it. We bought our live sand, live rock and saltwater from them and doing it that way our tank was ready to go with corals and fish in no time. I paid for a full groom ( a little over $50) for my small Yorkie., which is supposed to include his nails being cut. I was in a hurry when I picked him up, so I didn't notice that they had not been done. A few days later when he came walking up to me on the tile floor, I noticed his nails were laying SIDEWAYS on the floor, because they were so long! I called Petsmart and explained the situation, and a very nice person on the other end of the phone said - no problem, just bring him back up and we will do them for you. I couldn't go the day I called, and went a few days later. When I walked in, the girl who had groomed him was there. I again explained the situation and what I was told... and she instantly copped an attitude with me, insisted she did them and became very defensive and rude. I said "Listen, I don't appreciate the attitude you are giving me. I just explained to you what was told to me". She told me she would not do them - she refused - and then turned and spoke on behave of the other young employee standing there and said she refused to do them as well! Alrighty then!! I explained I paid for a service, and I expect to get what I paid for. She proceeded to call her manager, all the while being completely rude to me. When he entered the room he took the exact same attitude with me before he fully understood the situation. He said I needed to bring my dog on the day I called, and that too much time had gone by (it's been a week since I called). He instantly took to her defense and was very dismissive of me. I had said to both of them "look at his toes, they speak for themselves " to which they said they didn't need to look at them... because they were done. I said listen, this isn't my first rodeo... I've been getting my dog groomed for 14 years. I think I know when his nails have not been cut. To which this 22 yr old something snapped at me and said "I think I know what I've been doing, I've been grooming for years". Bottom line - Petsmart needs better management, and a better screening process for employees. I've have owned many businesses, and if I EVER witnessed one of my employees speaking to a customer the way this employee was speaking to me... I would have fired them on the spot - no questions asked. I will never spend a dollar in that store again... and not only have I had dogs groomed there for several years, I would buy my dog supplies there as well. If you are looking for grooming.... there are several local groomers who would love your business and treat you much better. That's how you keep customers!

Their selection of pet toys and pet care products are varied and well priced. I have shopped here for dog beds, walking leads and for pet cages and have been very pleased with the selection. As to the staff, I am always greeted and so are my pets each time I come into the store. They had taken heavy bags out to my car for me, and have even showed me how various cages and restraints I have bought work. The check out staff have a good sense of humor, if you are not curt or short with them, and they will make sure that you get the best price you are intitled to. One of the very few places that actually still have good customer service. I go in there once a week at least to pick up my online order for my ferrets. This place is the only place in Erie that never run out of stuff my ferrets need. They are on their sh**! And so frickin friendly. Esp the younger staff. Oh man, I haven't visited this shop since it was a small location inside a house on the other side…read moreof town. Basically eons ago... I feel old! It's farily large for a locally owned pet store. Lots of supplies for all types of animals. They have a handful of animals to purchase, including rats and mice (ew), ferrets (cute), lizards, snakes (ew) and beautiful birds. They even have a store mascot named Red that's a beautiful rainbow colored bird (don't ask me what kind!). The one employee also had her own pet cockatoo that was perched on her shoulder. So cute! We went in to get some fish for my dad's tank. The separation between salt water and fresh water fish is not very clear. I was pretty confused and had to go up and down the 3 rows and had to ask an employee... Who didn't make it very clear either. It was kind of mixed in between the two, I guess? I would suggest better signage. There is a good variety of fish if you can figure out what you need. Even large fish for ponds! And someone please buy the axolotl... If you don't know what they are, please google! I'm glad to see they don't sell cats. I hate seeing them in cages at pet stores. I did see some visiting rooms, it makes me wonder if they work with any pet adoption agencies around town. I will note for COVID times, the one employee that helped us with the fish was not wearing his mask properly, it was under his nose. I feel way more comfortable when everyone is masked appropriately and tried to hurry away from where he was standing. He was nice, but most importantly, should just be wearing the mask correctly. Nice little shop to support local and a nice option instead of the big box stores!

At approximately one year of age guinea pigs with the Satin gene begin showing organ damage (heart, kidney/bladder, etc.), bone degeneration, metabolic dysfunction, nervous system degeneration, and more. They succumb to one or more of these health conditions and die. If I didn't have a background in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, I probably wouldn't have realized what was happening. A vet in Cleveland confirmed it.
