We were greeted right away, signed some quick waivers and were out on our own in the boat. We were instructed on where we could go and given suggestions on what to check out along the way. This is not a speed boat, lol. It is a relaxing slow ride. I enjoyed it but when we saw rain clouds rolling in much faster than anticipated we turned around and began to head back to the dock. The rain got to us first, it made for a funny experience. Trying to get back as fast as possible on a boat that doesn't go faster than 7 mph heading back against the current trying to beat the rain did not work. We got soaked!! But, it was still an enjoyable time filled with a lot of laughter. We went to the bars afterwards in our wet clothes, who cares! lol. It was fun. I highly suggest it for a cute date or for a group activity! There were multiple boats and sizes to choose from. The weekday prices didn't seem bad either! I thought it was a good deal! I would book it again!

We rented the Pink Fantail Boat for my sister's bachelorette party, expecting a fun and relaxing 90-minute cruise on the river. The check-in process and safety briefing were handled by the wife, who was friendly, thorough, and answered all of our questions. Unfortunately, once we left the dock, it became clear that the boat was extremely difficult to control. There was a significant delay between turning the steering wheel or shifting gears and the boat actually responding. On a busy river with kayakers, other recreational boats, larger tour boats, and a current, this created what we believed was a genuinely unsafe situation. There were three capable drivers in our group, and none of us were able to confidently control the boat. We found ourselves waving other boaters around us, trying to avoid kayakers, and struggling to keep the boat where we intended. Instead of enjoying the celebration, everyone on board was scared. Eventually, we called BoatMKE because we no longer felt safe continuing. The husband came out to assist us. While he attempted to coach us through operating the boat, the experience was frustrating because even while following his instructions, we still made contact with the bridge bumpers. Ultimately, he had to tow us back to the dock because we were unable to safely operate the boat. Our planned 90-minute cruise ended after about 30 minutes on the water, most of which was spent trying to safely navigate the boat before requesting assistance. We were allowed to remain on the docked boat for the remainder of our reservation, but that wasn't the experience we paid for or planned for our celebration. I'm sharing this because I think future renters should understand what to expect. Our concern wasn't that boating is challenging, it was that in our experience, this particular boat's responsiveness made it feel unsafe to operate in the conditions on the river that day. We left incredibly disappointed after what should have been a memorable celebration.

Spent this last Saturday morning out on the lake with Jim and Anita of Blue Max Charters! We opted…read moreto leave at 7am and had to wait a bit for one of the bridges to lift to let us through on the way out to Lake Michigan. It was only a 5-10 min delay, but Jim & Anita tacked on an extra 30-45 minutes of fishing to make up for the delay! As a relatively inexperienced fisher, Jim was very informative and has a number of years of experience out on the lake. We caught a few large trout and some coho salmon! Was a ton of fun and Jim took care of all of the messy work and we left with some huge, delicious fish fillets! I would totally recommend Jim and Anita and hope I find some time to do this again!

We've fished with bigger outfits in Sheboygan and this felt less rushed and more friendly. We really liked that Jim encourages you to watch the lines and grab the pole if there's a fish on. So you're not just watching him do everything. We caught four fish and had four others get away while reeling them in so good action. Keep in mind a 5 hour trip is only about 3.5 hours of fishing with travel time and setting up the poles but that is the same for every charter service. Definitely recommended.

We booked a Saturday at 12pm 90 minute tour and were told to arrive at about 11:30am. They let us board at that time - you need to present your online ticket / print out at the ticket booth and then they give you tickets to the boat. The boat itself has a downstairs area with port side with one women's bathroom and starboard side with one women's and one men's bathroom. You'll learn what port/starboard means during the tour. The bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and snacks is on the first level. The second level has an area with a covered space in the back and seats open to the air on the front. Since it was a hotter day, my husband and I chose to sit on the bottom of the boat. We thought the best view there was at the front where you get a nice 180 degree view through the windows. We enjoyed the information on the tour and all the great views!

We've been loyally attending Quizmaster's Tuesday night Colectivo quizzes for the past year and a…read morehalf or so and it's always one of the highlights of my week. I like the variety of questions (although I will agree with one of the other reviewers that sometimes they are a little skewed towards stereotypical "male" categories like sports, video games, and action movies. We're still waiting for a picture round full of chick flicks!!). Regardless we love the low entry fee, and the quiz hints. It's a great chance to hang out with friends with no phone distractions and maybe even win some prizes! With the stay at home order we were immediately thinking about our weekly trivia habit but luckily Quizmaster came up clutch with 3x weekly virtual trivia including one themed quiz every Tuesday. We've been joining once a week and have even started virtually calling in a trivia team so we still get the social aspect as well. With so many teams the competition is tough but regardless of where we end we are just happy to have the distraction!

The format is 2 hours or so of 6 rounds of 5 questions each. Each round has a respective category. Teams can have up to 8 players. There are prizes for 1st and 2nd place, and also for Best Team Name of the Night. Usually bar tabs of $10-$30. Special prizes sometimes, like beer and bottles of booze. I recently participated in an 8-week league play series that included appearances of the queel (go to the website, ya mongoloid) and some serious competition that resulted in my team being the overall winner! Whoop. There was also a contest to see which team drank the most over the series. We just missed out on that one too. All I got was a gross hangover from the 6 snakebites or kamikazis I drank in 30 seconds in a last push to snatch victory from the jaws of YO MAMA, MUHFUGGA. This is a well organized, well run trivia night. Kevin the Quizmaster is a cool-ass dude and is your host at many of the participating venues, and I think he has a partner who does some as well. Quizmaster's website is great and becomes part of the game as that's where you get your weekly "quiz hint" in articles posted on the page devoted to your bar. They'll put a picture of you and your teammates' ugly mugs up there as well, provided you win or at least come up with a good name. That part makes it really fun. By "good name" I mean offensive, funny, or both. The winner of the best name contest is chosen by audience reaction, sometimes laughs, sometimes applause, and once in a while, disgusted groans. My team name almost got me in a fight once. No joke! That was when I played at Replay, which is a douche magnet. See Luke R's review for more info on that slop ditch. The trivia nights really depend on your venue, so pick a place you would go to anyway. My only (small) complaint is that I wish the questions were a bit harder, but I understand that Quizmaster needs to appeal to a broad audience. Unlike me, most folks aren't packing a staggeringly god-like knowledge base in their spectacularly wrinkled brain. Sometimes it's just too damn easy, so not quite 5 stars. If you own a bar and think you want some trivia drunks, give 'em a call! If you decide to go play, don't be a putz and use your cellphone to cheat, ya putz. Fun times, nerd! Go get 'em!
