Clearly this place has be around for years. Well worn building with water stained ceiling and grungy floors. Machines all seemed to be working although the detergent places were dirty and some had unused fabric softeners still in them so check before you load. Not a good area to come as a single female. Questionable folks wandering around outside with no clear reason to be here. Clothes got clean and dry without issues but probably won't come back as there are much nicer and better maintained places up near the old town area. read more

Genuinely the cleanest laundromat I've been to in a long time. There's a variety of sizes for both washer and dryer and prices are reasonable. There's a machine for change and for laundry pods if you forgot them. They also have little carts for your clothes! I imagine it's harder to get them when they are busy but we arrived at 8AM and there were plenty for people. There's also little shelves to fold your clothes after they leave the dryer. read more

They still only use quarters. Our home machine broke and this was the closest laundromat to our home so I loaded up my kid to do a quick wash. The place itself was fairly clean, some of my white clothes came out with dark stains were not on them preceding washing there, so be mindful not to bring important or special clothing and items to wash here. They do not have anyone on staff there, so I would recommend any young women, girls, older ladies etc take an escort. A man stared at me and loosely followed me and my son around in there. It was horrifying. There was another couple and the young man noticed the man staring and made sure he kept an eye on us because he was concerned, as was his girlfriend. I actually confronted the man because I am sick of being intimidated by creepy men...he still continued. No man with good intentions purposefully scares a young mother and child. Please be on your guard at this place. I certainly had no expectation of feeling like I might need to call the police in order to wash my clothing. I am concerned that someone might be hurt here without an attendant keeping an eye on things. This is a place where you are REQUIRED to carry around cash. Please be careful, maybe choose the place on Folly, if you're a woman attempting to clean your clothes at a laundromat, this place is not the safest place...it's the most scared I have been in a number of years as an adult. First of all let me say, this IS a coin-operated laundromat. It's in a shopping centre like they all are and there is parking nearby. One thing that I found a little disturbing was the two entrances. There is a main entrance, and then there is a "side" entrance which really is more like a back entrance. The parking is closer there, but it is around back of the shopping centre and a little creepy. There are plenty of washing machines along the left-hand side, with less than half that amount of dryers on the right side. Most are front-loading, commercial-grade machines, and washing ranges from $6 to $3.5 depending on load size. They sell small boxes of detergent, but I suggest you bring your own. The machines only take quarters. And I mean a lot of quarters! There is a change machine in the back, but you need to have cash and in the right increments for how much you plan to wash/dry. Otherwise, you will end up with a pocket full of change to take home. One of the two bathrooms had a note that said "Out of Order". It looked like it had always said that too. The place was not clean, but there are signs posted everywhere for people to pick up after themselves. There were odd socks scattered about too. Someone is going to be unhappy when they get home and realize they've lost their match. How do you sort your laundry and not realize it has fallen beneath you? I put a couple of "lost" items up on the sorting tables just in case the people were still inside. One of the socks actually disappeared while I was there, so I know they are happy! All of the machines seemed to work and in my previous experience at other locations, there were always broken down machines. You load soap, bleach, etc on top of the machines. I saw a guy searching for it, but someone helped him out. If you have large comforters or bulky items, this might be the place for you, but I suggest you not leave your laundry unattended. It seems that there are people who are happy to steal others' clothes. There are signs posted throughout notifying you of all the things to look out for and even a phone number in case there are issues. I did appreciate that and it provides a sense of awareness for newbies. Overall ok. Entrance from street locked with no sign. So I had to walk around building with bags of laundry. Out of two coin machines one is broken and the other got jammed just before I went to use it. Several washing machines labeled "not working". No one on duty to ask for help when I first arrived. Had to go to grocery store for coins. Random socks and change left in washing machines. On the plus side. There were small fans circulating the air and many rolling baskets. Also, after stopping in at 3 other laundrymats in the Charleston area this has been the cleaner and cheaper of the four. Though, I would not come again. read more

We have been traveling for 3 months and this is the most expensive laundromat yet. Plus, I like the large machines that have a second rinse option but they did not have any. Finally, the dryers are variable - some dry better on medium than others on high. Took a lot of quarters to dry my towels. Well no. Actually I gave up, brought them home and hung them up. Up until 4 days ago I had no problems with the establishment. On Saturday, May 23, 2015 I lost $3 in a machine that filled and drained, but did not wash my laundry. As listed on the sign on the bulletin board CALL FOR REFUNDS! I DID! I called the number listed 3x or more with NO RESPONSE from the owner. I then went to the Pack Mail store seeking more info. I was able to write a note to the owner that Pack Mail owners said they would place in her box. I am so disgusted at the level of customer service this "business owner" is providing. It has gone from being about the $3 to being about the principle. If 5 people use that machine everyday that's $105.00 in the owner's pocket w/o her machines rending services paid for. If $3 is nothing for me to stress over then why doesn't the owner refund my money? I will continue to seek out some local government office that I can file a complaint against this owner.
