Sea Shell City! What a great place. You might be surprised…read moreat the number of things you can do with shells. First and most important to me is a bigger hermit crab shell. I've had my hermit crab well over 8 years. Prob 10 tbh. We treat this crab like a king but we ran out of the shells he likes to live in. Yes they are picky! And no kidding he's molting while we're here on vacation so perfect timing and Sea Shell City has the shells he likes! Home decor! A nice Conch on the fireplace mantel or a bowl of clay shells in tje bathroom are a hit. You can make shell wind chimes and shell necklaces. You can out them in your fish tank and in your garden. I have a couple shells in my pot with my snake plant. Just eye candy really. Also they can be great for conversation starters when your guests come over. On to the incense! They has the thick sticks for $1 each! Cinnamon and Vanilla for me. The normal thin ones were $0.20 a each so I'm set. They had a great selection of scents. Sea Shell City also has your theme decor of: "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" stuff. Wall hangings and paradise bird decor stuff. You know. I love it. And so do millions of other people. This place has been around more than 40 years and still providing a great service! No Covid bringing this place down! Come on in and brainstorm while you walk around. Im sure you'll find something to take home.

The shop closes at 4pm on Friday, so just keep this in mind if you go. The prices were on some things were a little high, but expected for a beach shop. We loved the shipwreck museum they had upstairs!

I regularly shop here and never failed to find something in the way of women's clothing that works…read more They carry a beautiful line of Italian-made linens and other comfortable clothes done in natural fabrics. They also have a nice hat selection for shading from the sun as well as the usual beachwear and jewelry. I really like this store a lot.

I saw an outfit that was hung up (with a belt and necklace) and I told the store associate that I wanted to try it. She showed me where it can be found on the rack which usually I'd be fine with. However, they didn't have the color of either the pants or the blouse that I was looking for and I asked if she can bring the outfit down for me to try. She basically said no since it would be a lot of work for her to take it down and put it back..... who says that?! I was fully intent on buying the entire outfit if I liked it. This place's clothes are not cheap and that outfit is easily around $225-$250. For a purchase that big, I am not going to just try different colors of that outfit and guess if the color I was actually wanting will look good on me. Thats not how that works. Because of my that lazy sales associate, she cost the store a big sale and me a good first time shopping experience. Very disappointed because they have really nice clothes but there customer service did not match it.

Set just off Lewes' main drag on 2nd street, This is a souvenir shop. I know that seems obvious…read morebut it should be said in a town, and I love Lewes, where many of the tourist shops seem a little high end, this is where you go for that sweatshirt or t-shirt or cheesy xmas tree ornament of Santa on the beach, or a wonderful stuffed toy or fridge magnet or oven mitt or whatever silly thing you want to remind you of your vacation. It is silly and fun and more important, when you realize you didn't bring enough t-shirts or whatever for the beach days, this is the placer to stop. The price is fair and the quality is good. And for customer care, oh yes. A few years ago, I didn't pack enough warm things, and it was surprisingly cold on this trip, I was looking at the outside early in the morning trying to see when it would open so I could get a good thick hoodie. A man leaned out of his car to ask if he could help me. I said I was just looking to see when it would open so I could get a heavy pull over. The man in the car was the owner and opened an hour early just to help me out. THAT stuck in my mind as going above and beyond.

Just Lewes and Lewes Wear don't just share a wall, but the business when it comes down to it. Came here in search of my magnet and they did not disappoint on that front. I grabbed one after looking over what they had to offer and became a bit confused. See, even though they share a wall/business you don't know that when you first walk in here. Each side is set up to take business and payment. At the time of my visit there was no indication on what to do when you were ready to pay. In the end, we figured it out, but still, the confusion of it all. While we were figuring out what to do for payment, we took that time to browse the rest of what they had to offer on this side of the wall. From hoodies to stuffed animals you could find here. Some with town names, some without. Signs to hang on your wall, and a lot of other items you would find in a beach town souvenir shop. On our visit here, we had to go next door to Lewes Wear to pay. This spot was honestly an extension of next door, just more focused on clothing. The gentleman working that day was very pleasant and we were out of there in no time.
