Anchor In provided the exact experience I was looking for. Upon arrival, we quickly enjoyed the marina view. The hotel is a boutique / 42 room inn with complimentary parking, complimentary continental breakfast, friendly staff, a beautiful pool, outdoor seating/fire pit and it's all within walking distance of restaurants and tourist attractions. Our room was comfortable, with a patio overlooking the marina. The bathroom was large and while not one of the more modern bathrooms I've seen, it did provide all of the accessories a traveler would need. The room also offered a Keurig coffee machine and a mini fridge in the room. The bed was a large king size bed, the mattress was a bit soft for my preference. For those who may be visiting the hospital, this hotel is also across the street from the hospital. If you're looking for a beautiful view, comfortable room, friendly staff, free parking and breakfast, all at a great rate, this is a wonderful option.

We had stayed there for the past 8-10 years during the week after Labor Day, most recently in September of 2025. We always reserved the same room and always made arrangements for the following year before we checked out. We reserved the room for September 2026 during our stay in September 2025 and paid the requested deposit on December 22, 2025. The reservation was confirmed by the Anchor In on December 22, 2025. We reside in South Florida and had traveled to Maine on August 28, 2026 and were staying at a hotel there prior to traveling to the Anchor In for our September stay. Much to our surprise and chagrin and dismay we were contacted by the Anchor In by e-mail on September 2, 2026 to inform us that they had DOUBLE-BOOKED the room and were unable to honor our RESERVATION. Instead, they offered to find us a room at another facility, one at which we had no desire to stay at, and, which was not nearly of an equivalent stature of the Anchor In. The hotel that they chose to send us to was not one with a harbor view and did not have the type of amenities that we preferred. Their excuse was that there had been an error in their reservation system and that they had only recently discovered the error and the DOUBLE BOOKING!!!!! Considering the very short notice from the Anchor In and the fact that we are over 1500 miles from our home and it is the LABOR DAY WEEKEND we have been able to obtain an alternative reservation at a hotel of our choosing!!!!!! I am greatly disturbed at the callous behavior on the part of the Anchor In. The responsibility for the DOUBLE BOOKING lies entirely with the Anchor In. They should have apologized and cancelled the reservation of whomever it was that they chose to put into the room that we had reserved. Instead, they have very rudely inconvenienced us on what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable vacation!!!!

One word? AWESOME!…read more Initially, the thought of a B&B creeped me out. I don't like staying over friends or relatives' houses unless I must, let alone some stranger's house in an area I am unfamiliar with. Call me strange, but something about the concept of a B&B has so much in common with a horror film that ends with me getting killed along the line...but not here. My wife and I joined a few of our friends to go to Hyannis and Martha's Vineyard for Memorial Day Weekend and we stayed here. Craig and Ginny (the proprietors) were so friendly and accomodating. Both of them are very personable and full of great local knowledge that they really helped make our stay easier and more pleasant. You will be regaled with Craig's funny stories if you just take the time to speak with him. Ginny is so willing to make the stay as comfortable as possible. You could not ask for better hosts. At no time, did I think they would kill me, and cure my flesh to make sausages like in the movie "Motel Hell". (Sorry, my paranoia is a bit unreasonable). The place is literally a 10-15 min walk from Main street. The beach is 5 min in the opposite direction. You're so close, you can smell the salty air when you step from your room. The rooms are very nice. In fact, you have 2 choices of where to stay: Stay in the main house or the guest house. We stayed in the guest hose, facing the back yard and the large comfortable hammock that gently rocked me to sleep several nights. Our room consisted of a small sleeping area,, a bathroom and a closet. They got cable tv and I do believe there is wi-fi. But why come all the way to Hyannis to surf the web and watch cable? And the room size? Who cares. I was there to see the town, not stay indoors. It was more than adequate and very comfortable. By the way, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. You get two choices: some awesome egg dish or some ceral with yogurt. I went for the eggs and was pleased everytime. Damn, that was good food. Overall, we were extremely pleased. We're definitely going to stay here again. The rates are more than fair for all the accommodations, and the people here really make it worth the stay. My only regret in writing this review is that you'll read this and stay there with your friends and make it harder for me to do so. Do not make me slay you...

I decided at the last minute to book a weekend trip to Cape Cod. As you will know if you're at all…read morefamiliar with an area, that is not an easy or reasonably priced whim to have in the summer. So after looking at a variety of hotel options that I couldn't afford and lower priced ones that I think I would've gotten diseases from, I decided to look at B&Bs. Having only stayed at a B&B once in the past (in Maine), I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But the rates were right in line with what I wanted to pay, there was availability, and I had read other good reviews. I cannot say enough about how much this place exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Firstly, the location is perfect. A 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to Main Street, 20 minute walk to the ferries to MV & Nantucket. But don't even concern yourself with the 20 minute walk, because Craig & Ginny, the proprietors, are more than welcoming and offered us a ride to and from our ferry the day we went to Nantucket. They also provide beach chairs if you're going to the beach, restaurant and local area recommendations (of which we listened and were not disappointed), and most importantly HOSPITALITY. You don't get this kind of attention at a hotel. The B&B itself is very quaint... clean, well-kept, equipped with outdoor seating areas to relax as well as a pool, which was an added bonus I didn't expect before arriving. The breakfast area is very cute and the breakfast itself was delicious every morning. I really can't say enough good things about my stay at Salt Winds... just don't even second guess yourself and just book it and see for yourself. You can't come close to this location, level of service, and accommodations for the price on Cape Cod in the summer!

They have a nice roof deck area with chairs to sit and enjoy the sun or stars or view of the water. This place could be an absolute gem. The grounds need some definite care and leave soo much to be desired. If the little entrance office area was de-cluttered and landscaping was paid attention to could be 5-star for an Inn type place. Based on cost, location and room being clean would definitely stay again for 1-2night stay but beyond that the grounds for middle of summer and location could be so much more and sort of a shame. The right attention to this could make this an adorable Inn. Would say more 3.25 stars but can't give partial ratings and cuteness, cleanness and cost of rooms deserved a good rating. If they decluttered and cleaned the office and put love to the grounds they could probably get double per night.

If I wanted brand new, squeaky clean everything, I would stay in a high end hotel. For your money you get the basic needs met, a bed and a bathroom with a shower. The breakfast is continental, (coffee, tea, hot or cold cereal and some bagel with cream cheese). The owner is a sweet hearted and warm older Russian woman by the name of Raisa, who I and my family fell in love with.

On the countertops, in the bathtub, on the tile floor where the kitchen sick was, and even large clumps under the vanity sink. I immediately went to the front desk and spoke to the GM "Elissa." She was very apologetic and sent a housekeeper down shortly after. The housekeeper visited our room to "re-clean" it, and once she left, there was still hair all over the place. I didn't want to complain to the front desk for a second time, so I did the best I could by washing some of those surfaces myself. Unfortunately, it didnt end there. We went to the the breakfast buffet all three days between 8 and 8:30. It was atrocious. It was very overcrowded and items were not replenished once empty. There was only one working waffle maker that left many people waiting 8-10 people deep in line. Juice machine was "out of order" with no alternative offered other than coffee and tea. Oatmeal was empty. Milk was empty. Cereal container was empty. It was just downright awful. Ive never had this type of experience at any hotel breakfast. There were two restrooms across from the dining area that were BOTH "out of order" the entirety of our stay. So basically the only available restroom was the one in our room. Housekeeping services are supposed to be started on day two of guests stays. Our mounted shower gel was empty. I went to the front desk at 10am asking for a replacement. I waited around all day. Nobody came. I texted the front desk around 3PM asking if we had been forgotten about and was told someone would be down in 5 minutes. Another hour and a half went by, and it was finally delivered to our door at 5PM.... Housekeeper never entered the room. Thats all that was done. Our trashes remained overflowing. Our shampoo and conditioner were empty shorly after. No fresh towels were delivered. It was just bad. The worst part, which forced us to leave early was the discomfort in the beds. I can't even begin to explain how uncomfortable the beds in our room were. The pull out sleeper was like sleeping on straight mattress springs. It left my daughter with severe neck and shoulder pain. The king size bed was just as bad. My husband and I couldn't sleep at all because the bed was so uncomfortable. We tossed and turned all night long and woke up with neck, back, and hip pain. On day two of our stay, I also noticed tiny black ants on the wall next to our bed, and two of them IN our bed. We couldn't take it anymore, so we checked out of the hotel after just 3 short, painfully agonizing days. We spoke to the GM again and explained why we had to leave. She was apologetic but did not offer to compensate any part of our stay. It was by far the most disappointing vacations ever. We had looked forward to this vacation for months to be seriously disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel. Look elsewhere.

From the moment we walked in Neil treated us like family. The Inn has a very cozy atmosphere and the two rooms we reserved where very clean and had there own bathrooms. There was a nice living room to relax in, as well as a nice breakfast room to enjoy a muffin or bagel in the am. The Inn has free Wifi, a/c, and the morning paper is always in the living room. I would not hesitate to stay at the Sea Beach Inn the next time I travel to the Cape.

This is the place that is the center of Cape Cod, and all the features she has to offer; the beaches, restaurants, attractions and nightlife. While Cape Cod is small, only about 50 miles long, we find staying in Hyannis is the best spot to start our day-trips: a ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard, or down the road to Provincetown, both are only minutes away. Instead of blowing our budget, we just return each evening to the inn. Last summer, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the back porch, checked out the menus from a few nearby restaurants, had dinner at Alberto's, and were back at the Inn by 10. Another night, we enjoyed the Hyannis nightlife, and returned around midnight. The comfortable, relaxing solitude of the Inn makes you feet like a thousands miles from anywhere, but we know the Ocean is less than a half mile away, and the restaurants and nightlife are only a half mile the other way. Perfect! That's the nice thing about not being in a hotel downtown. This is why we always come back several times a year to this Inn, Bill the Innkeeper always treats us like royalty each time. (As a frequent guest, he also gives us a discount). See everything Cape Cod, right here in Hyannis Port (on the road leading to Craigville Beach).
