Both are here legally and pay taxes--her son even works. The phone rang, and a man named "Stu" answered. I explained the situation, letting him know why I was calling and making the appointment for them. The moment he understood what I was saying, his entire demeanor shifted. His tone turned cold and condescending, and he asked, "How are we supposed to understand them then?" His attitude was palpable. He abruptly put me on hold. When he returned, he said there was an opening for next month, but his frustration was evident as he began asking for the boy's information. For some reason, he became flustered and placed me on hold again. This time, I was connected to a woman named Elise, and she was the complete opposite of Stu. Elise was kind, professional, and understanding. She took the information without any issue, wished me a good day, and even thanked me for calling. Her attitude was a breath of fresh air, but it made Stu's behavior stand out even more. I understand that tensions are high right now with the ongoing migration issues. I fully support efforts to secure our borders. However, that doesn't give anyone the right to mistreat others--especially those who are here legally. A simple, polite response like, "I'm sorry, we don't have anyone who speaks her language. Does she have someone who can interpret when she arrives?" would have been sufficient. Instead, Stu seemed determined to create a problem where there didn't need to be one. I can't shake the feeling that his behavior stemmed from a deeper, racial issue. At the very least, it was a blatant lack of respect and professionalism. Next month, we'll be seeing Stu in person. I can only hope the facility addresses his attitude before then. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic human decency--no matter their background.

Dr Goldberg is an excellent eye doctor: caring, extremely knowledgable, thorough and and keeps in close contact with my retina specialist in terms of any updates, concerns and/or findings. Stewart, as well, is excellent in terms of assisting you with selecting the best frame and lenses for your needs. Further, making sure the lens is cut correctly and that the frames are fitted correctly as well. The staff as well, is always pleasant, helpful, and knowledgable in addressing insurance coverage. Although one usually gets eye glasses every 1-2 years, it's always a great experience. This location may not have the wide selection as Manalapan, however I've always found a frame that perfectly fits my needs and their service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Was hesitant to switch after going to the prior place for 25+ years. I was very happy I made the switch! This local, small town business was a breath of fresh air--- the service was excellent, as was the selection of eyeglass frames, including designer frames as well....Gucci, Tom Ford, to name just a few. The owner, Peter Detreich introduced himself and personally assisted me. Their prices were fair and competitive, but the quality, knowledgable service and the glasses were the major, remarkable aspects of my experience at this store. The glasses they made for me were the clearest, sharpest best "seeing" glasses, far better than the glasses I've had for over 25 years from my prior opticians. And, my prescription for multi-focal, progressive lenses I'd thought would mean a compromise in the close or far ranges. Not so. I used to sometimes get dizzy wearing my prior glasses with the progressive lenses. The multiple pairs I've had made by Deitrich do not do that. It's almost like not wearing glasses. Everything about today's appointment was smooth, from the nice woman I talked with when I scheduled, to being seen punctually at my appointment time, to the office manager submitting to insurance and being clear how much insurance would cover. The array of machines used to test eyes are state of the art. The friendly practitioner who operated the machines wiped them down with disinfectant right before I put my chin or eyes against them, which I appreciated. I also am impressed that this office did a retinal scan, which screens for other health problems beyond just how sharp ones vision is. Healthy eyes are important for a happy life! I give a 100% positive recommendation to anyone who needs an eye doctor, to come to Dr. Hanlon!

Most impressive was that i got called into the examination room right at my appointment time. Dr. Donald Guerrierl was superb! He was friendly, knowledgeable, timely and just a good guy. He genuinely cared about giving me the best and most thorough exam to ensure I had the right prescription. He also took the time to explain the photos of the retina and what constituted good eye health. This was a great doctors appointment.

One eye is distance and the other is for reading. The brain compensates. The staff was amazing and thorough. Dr. Goldberg is professional and patient. The surgeries went very well. I had no pain at all. I walked out without any patches. It's a month long on each eye with drops. So far so good. My eyesight is restored, and I am very grateful. There are many follow ups included after the surgeries. No stone is left unturned. I will probably get driving glasses for night driving only. My only issue with my new eyesight is having dry eye. I must continue to use Restasis twice a day. The dryness causes you to have blurry vision. No glasses will help this. It's part of the aging process. I am very happy with Dr. Goldberg and his staff. It was a painless procedure.

His staff was beyond thorough as far as all of the tests to give them the proper information and when I sat with Dr. Goldberg to discuss my options he took his time and explained my options to me, the positives, negatives and everything else I should know. He never hesitated or did not have an answer to any of my million questions. He knows what he's doing and is very patient. I had ICL surgery with him and in less than two weeks time I am seeing 20/20 when I was seeing 20/40 +2 with glasses/contacts before surgery.
