Front gate: $5/vehicle for port entry. Lady working the booth extremely rude and dismissive. Dock: Security guard lady was beyond rude and obnoxious. Obvious many of the people taking the ferry to St. John were 1st timers. I've read all the reviews on the ferry dock and the common theme from ST to ST J is that the security guards are the worse. Well...I lived it and it's true. The security guards are the worse employees ever. Did I mention rude and obnoxious? There's no signs or directions on where to park and where to wait....so you're at the whim of the security guard telling you where to go. Hint: do not purchase an online reservation. Bring cash to the ferry and pay round trip for the first boat that arrives. This way, you can hop on the earliest ferry. Just make sure you get back on the same ferry provider on the way back to ST T. Otherwise, you will have to pay full price for the return trip. When you get on the ferry, I person will come by and collect payment or check your car reservation. They will give you either a yellow or pink copy of the receipt. Do not lose this. Leave it in the glove box for the return home. You just show this or you will pay again. There are 2 providers. 1. Red Barge 2. Love City (black and white with VIC as part of the boat name). Make sure you return on the same company. Cruz Bay Ferry workers were awesome. It's the Red Hook crew that sucked.

Pass me a Xanax, check in sucks and takes forever, half the airport was blown into the ocean, TSA is just dumb and in addition to all of that I have to deal with a mouthy porter too?!! I think I'm never returning to this airport ever again. So we're in one of the various lines at the airport (this is like Disney land, stanchions and people galore but no moving), and a porter comes up and starts yelling at us, that our dogs should be in cages so they don't attack anyone. Lets be clear, my dogs were calm and wondering of why that idiot was yelling his head off like an animal and waiving his arms about. Maybe we should cage him? He may attack us! Outside of this foolery, the porters just aren't that nice and reluctantly answer questions. It really is a bother for them to open their mouth to talk to you. Yea they get your stuff to where you need it to go which is the only reason of why this got three stars, because unlike ANY other airport you have to lug your check-in luggage through TSA and Customs, the check-in desk for your airliner can't be bothered with your luggage. So having a porter is a must, maybe that is why they are rude, because they know we need them to get through this horrid process. If people are so miserable working here, they should quit. Be unemployed and give your job to someone unemployed that wants to work and lost their job to the hurricanes. #St.Thomas #USVI

We probably had a few more rum drinks in us than the instruction manual recommends, but the staff…read moregot us geared up, life jackets on, safety talk done, and sent us out across the bright blue water of Saint Thomas. These machines are no joke either modern Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet skis that'll absolutely fly across the water if you let them. Next thing you know, we're out there like a couple of overgrown kids checking off a bucket-list item I normally wouldn't splurge on. Another couple pulled up beside us and suddenly it turned into what felt like the Caribbean Grand Prix. Hard banking turns, hopping wakes, spraying each other with rooster tails of water like a bunch of irresponsible pirates. At one point it felt less like jet skiing and more like bumper cars on the ocean. The laughter, the shouting, the pure reckless joy of the moment it was childish, ridiculous, and absolutely unforgettable. I'm not saying we broke every rule... but I'm also not saying we didn't. Now don't get me wrong be responsible out there. These guys take safety seriously, with briefings, life jackets, and a safety boat nearby while you ride. But I'll say this: from the friendly staff to the convenient location (even our cab driver told us to go there), it turned into one of the most fun memories of the whole trip. Nobody got hurt, nothing got damaged, we didn't get hauled off by the marine police and somehow we rode back to the dock laughing like kids who just got away with something. I usually save my money for boat tours and cruises... but this? Totally worth it. One of the wildest, funniest afternoons I've ever had on the water.

Omar, our driver, was always on time and had the SUV in tip top shape. Clean inside and out and smelled nice. Omar did a great job navigating us back to the airport on the final day of Carnival. Driving into the lot can be confusing. The staff here aren't the friendliest. You'll have to reverse in onto the ferry, which can be a little difficult. We unfortunately had a minivan (due to our large party) so backing up onto the boat ramp with 4WD was a bit challenging. Once on board and crammed in, it's a lovely and quick ride to St. John. Feb 2023, the price was $65 round trip cash only. Getting off is forward, yay, and a much faster process than boarding. Coming back, I definitely agree that you need to line up EARLY. We departed on a Saturday and were lucky to be in line before they cut off boarding one of 2 boats that had been docked for 30+ minutes with no activity. More grumpy workers and it took forever to board and we were getting nervous about our flight. (But we made it)

We decided not to bring a car seat only if we could find a service that would provide a baby seat to and from our hotel. After we emailed and called a few different places, we were surprised not to get any responses. So we did a second round of calls to a other few new companies and we got in touch with Prestige Taxi and Joseph. He told us that he was on the road but to text him our info and he would send back confirmation as soon as he got back to the office. Within an hour we had a confirmation with our info, price, driver name, etc. He even throw in the baby seat at no cost. Once we arrived Joseph was waiting for us with a sigh and a smile. He was professionally dressed and has a very easy going fun way about him. We had a truck load of luggage which he took charge of, and we were thrilled to be packed up and ready to go within 25 minutes of arrival. His van was super clean, AC was cranking and we had a very nice rear facing baby seat for the little guy. We had a 25 minute ride to the Ritz which was a great time to get some local information about the island. Joseph shared history about the island, great places to see on St. Thomas and St. John, good local eateries, places to shop, etc. He also asked if we wanted to do a quick tour of Red Hook just so we had a visual of a fun area to shop and hang out. I wanted to give Prestige a 5 star review and would tell you that Joseph is a class act.
