New Hampshire only gets five or so miles of I-95, but they do a fine job with this rest area / welcome center on the Northbound side of the highway. Good signage and plenty of warning that it's coming with a good ramps to decelerate and accelerate. Clean-ish rest rooms and a large welcome center with lots of information about New Hampshire resources and attractions, all neatly organized by geographic area. As welcome centers go, this is a good one! Welcome to the Granite State. Live Free or Die. And FYI... my first New Hampshire review which is my 38th state reviewed!

Clean restrooms including one Family restroom. Diaper stations in both mens and ladies. No doors on…read morethe entrances, turn right or left to access one of two rows of stalls just past the sinks. Two water fountains are in this area but no bottle filling station. The outside and inside are designed to resemble a small town. A covered bridge looms overhead by a back entrance. Inside are a few small metal tables and chairs plus a couple 'stand up' to eat tables. Outside is a raised area in front with several metal picnic tables plus two more by outdoor vending machines. Three small parking areas seem to provide just enough space during our lunch time stop. A dog walking area was alongside the highway across from the gas pumps. There are eight pull thru pumps but not really a good stop is you have a long trailer. Cars are parked on the other side of the pumps and a sharp left (u-turn) followed by a right are needed to exit this area from what I can see. I did not see an electric car charge station although there is a air vac machine near the pumps. The inside is absolute chaos. We entered midway in to the building into a maze of free standing displays of things to buy next to tables and chairs. At this entrance, on the left, is a cotton candy making machine where a group was standing watching the fun. A tween was standing between some of the displays blocking traffic. The market is directly to the right. Everyone in the area was trying to find a way around all these obsticles. Loud 70's rock is playing both inside and out which added to the feeling of chaos. You can literally see the stress level go up as people try to navigate the interior. It's probably fine during a less busy time of day. The convenience store 'market' inside includes 'grab & go' foods like premade sandwiches and pizza slices plus sodas, snack foods and souveniers. The aisles are too narrow to pass creating back-ups. The self-serve pizza slice area has no counter to place your box while you get yourself a slice so customers were putting items on top of inventory to free up their hand. Nothing is clearly signed. Half the people were 'just looking' while the other half were trying to find a way around the slow pokes. The only restaurant food here is fast food provided by The Common man. Order and pay at a digital kiosk or stand in line on the right for the cashier. Pick up on the left. They have a seperate bakery/coffee shop and you order for both areas at the kiosks. Food and price are just OK. We received a 'steak bomb' which includes onions & peppers when we ordered a plain steak & cheese which is a different menu item. The brie on my turkey and brie sandwich is cheese sauce, same as used on the steak and cheese. The cold cuts are not quality imho but the honey mustard and bread were good and the lettuce was fresh and plentiful. Everything is packed to eat on site. There are plenty of trash and recycle containers inside and out. Bus your own table/picnic table. Vending machines are available outside in a covered area at the side entrance near the pumps. Handicapped parking is there as well. This entrance is closest to the restrooms. A seperate building near this entrance makes apple cider donuts and smells delicious. The state liquor store is at the opposite end of the building and has it's own entrance.

Kind of jealous we don't have something like this back home. A rest area where you can grab snacks,…read moresouvenirs, donuts, food, liquor, gas, and have a clean restroom. Sign me up. We spent a minute in here just looking around before heading back into Manchester. I also love that both sides have a stop.

He noticed that I seem to have two Hilton Honors accounts and recommended that I call and have them combined so that my points will accumulate properly. He even wrote down the phone number and my two account numbers for my convenience. The beds were lovely and fresh and clean, lots of pillows and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate with plenty of towels and soaps. Everything seems to be brand new. Breakfast was fantastic, considering it was free and a buffet. The woman who was handling the food prep and service was extremely pleasant and hard working. I even heard Dave the manager telling her what a good job she was doing! He was also assisting keeping the tables clean and tidy in between guests. Overall an outstanding hotel experience and I definitely will return as I have family in the area.
