    Paddling boarding at SeaCamp

Our son had a fabulous time during his SeaCamp adventure. This experience increased his passion for Marine Biology and I applaud the instructors for their personalized support in learning about ocean ecology. The unplugged experience enhanced the friendships and connections he made while at camp.

I can't believe there aren't more reviews for this place! My son just recently returned home from SEACAMP1, a summer weeklong overnight camp of 6 days 5 nights catered to incoming 7-12th graders. Marine Science/Biology based camp that integrates a love of Marine Science and the use of water activities to tie it all in. All of the Sea Camp instructors have a Marine Science background and are very knowledgeable in their field. They make sure that your child is well taken care of throughout their experience here. Prior to signing him up, I contacted the Sea Camp staff via Facebook. My concern was that my son was not a good swimmer. Guess what? For SeaCamp1, your child doesn't need to be a good swimmer to experience what this Camp has to offer. They got it all covered from the choice of their swim gear, the staff supervision, and the importance of water safety taught to all the campers is what sealed it for me. Its also good to know that you can follow them on Social Media (FB and IG) when your child is at camp as they continually post photos along the way. You bet I was one of those Moms! I paid $895 for this camp experience for my son. Absolutely worth every penny and definitely very reasonable for what Sea Camp had to offer for all their campers. You'd be surprised to know that a good portion of these Campers are NOT locals. In my son's group, he was able to forge friendships from kids his own age who were driven from out of town and flown in from out of state and to this day, keep in touch. That just tells me the strong reputation Sea Camp has as a company. The staff here was very welcoming, answered all my questions, and made this camp very memorable for my son. If I had known about this camp sooner, I would've signed him up years ago. I highly recommend Sea Camp!

On display in the window was shelves full of an interesting variety of ceramics. We decided to check it out. We've walked by many times on our way to and from La Doña and never noticed Claytime Ceramics and Gifts. Upon walking in we were cheerfully greeted by Caroline the owner. She explained that her shop is a DIY ceramics shop. You choose a piece and paint it. She even offers classes for making pottery on a pottery wheel. One wall was lined with wheels. There are tables set up for people to create their pieces. When we were there a small family (mom, dad, two small kids) was at a table painting away. Caroline is super nice. She was so friendly and excited to share. Her passion for her art and sharing her knowledge were palpable. This really looked like a great couples, family or group activity. Who says this? Show some respect this is very unprofessional Edit* You will really do everything BUT take accountability huh. Running a good business is listening to your customers not accusing them since you sure spend a lot of your time doing that. Maybe you can direct that energy to your store instead and make more practical ceramics. You should remove the title "business owner" from your profile as well. You're not fit for it.

Its a shoe free area so bring socks, otherwise you will have to purchase. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend to take your kid who is not walking yet or just started to walk. This place is more for toddlers. I would say Gymboree is better for non-walkers or early walkers. Why 3 stars? well, the price and the size of the place. I'm comparing it to a Discovery center in Escondido, which is pretty similar, but X10 bigger with lots of extras. i can see this place would be great for a b-day party. The staff was really nice and energetic.

She also got to participate in staff-led activities (obstacle course, singing, etc). She had a blast and didn't want to leave -- after two hours! I liked the cafe and the available snack options - for kids: apple juice, apple sauce, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, and real coffee/mocha/espresso and various baked goods for adults. I think there were also more robust food options. There's free wifi, too. It's a great to chat with a friend while keeping an eye on your kids, safely enclosed in a clean play space catered to imagination and fun. I haven't taken advantage of a Kid's Night Out yet (5-9pm theme-based babysitting for $40 the third Friday of each month) but I plan to soon!
