the staff at seabrook furniture are awesome. i a recliner and because i wanted a certain color it had to be ordered which i expected. i retured the next thursday and told sheila i need another recliner as soon as possible, within 10 min. i found the one i wanted, sheila spoke with the delivery person, and he told me he would deliver it to my home within 1/2 hour. true to his word, my 2nd recliner was in my living room. what a great experience. terry w read more

If I could, I'd give it zero stars. The woman working was polite enough and let us look around without hassle, but whoever the man was (owner? Salesperson?), pointed out that we were in the more expensive section and we may want to check out the areas of the store that were less expensive, that was kind of rude. How embarrassing to be talked to like that. How does he know what we can afford? I could buy that $4000 leather couch today if I wanted, but I certainly won't be giving this place my business. Ever. If you're looking for great customer service, USA made furniture, Cardis, the new furniture store in Seabrook, NH is the place to go. He basically dropped $20 on every single piece and asked me if I want to buy it or not. I told him the price was too high and he lost patience and asked me why did I waste his time. After posting my first review, I was contacted by Sheila from Seacoast Furniture. They've been very accommodating in trying to rectify the situation. Sheila arranged for the furniture manufacturer's local rep to come out and inspect the piece. He agreed that there was an issue. Seacoast has offered to have the frame of the couch repaired/reinforced at no charge to us. I'm appreciative of their efforts to provide a good customer experience, but in the end, the couch is not any better. read more

My family had a good experience with Roger from Seacoast. Prices were lower than many other furniture places we looked. I checked prices on the couches we bought online after we got home, and the prices at Seacoast (after some negotiating) ended up right around the price as if you ordered off Amazon or Wayfair, including delivery into the house and into the specific room, not just a box on our doorstep.. And we had custom colors and materials, plus got to sit on the couches and see them in person. One couch didn't quite fit into our house on first delivery, and it was accepted back by Seacoast without hassle (though we understandably still paid for delivery). For the next delivery, Roger even offered to bring two couches out - a bigger one and backup smaller one in case the bigger one didn't fit. Roger was helpful in making design decisions - helped us make choices and steer us away from some bad designs, but without being pushy or demeaning. He also didn't try and give us a hard sell on additional furniture - just helped us buy the pieces we needed. We haggled a bit over price, but the sticker price was close to where we ended, which (as mentioned above) was right around the price as if you bought the couch online without all the benefits of visiting a furniture showroom. We have had a couple miscommunications that probably lose 0.5 points, but I'm still rounding up to 5. Not a perfect experience, but definitely good enough to warrant 5 stars and our future business at Seacoast for additional furniture purchases. read more

We were recently searching for furniture and found Seacoast Furniture in Seabrook, NH. We went on a Saturday to browse. We were greeted by Sheila who initially let us browse and then approached us to see how she could help. She asked great questions as to what room are you look for, how the furniture will be used,the size of the room, etc. She helped us with how we would layout the room as that was a concern. She was very knowledgeable in all aspects of furniture and design. Her recommendations on selecting the right size of the furniture for the room was on point. I am happy to say that our furniture arrived and is beautiful. Prices were great throughout the store for quality furniture. I will not hesitate to purchase thru Seacoast again and also recommend to anyone searching for great service, quality furniture and price. read more

Great experience. We walked in looking for a sofa and chair. The one I was originally looking at, Roger (salesman) was extremely knowledgeable, explained what the material was made of and that he'd had customers who were unhappy with it and that after a few years the cushions became flat. He showed us another sofa (same price no upsells) that would better meet our needs and would last. Same story with the chair my husband was looking at. Absolutely no pressure, not tailing you around the store like other places have their salespeople do. And no BS, just a straight shooter cutting right to the chase not trying to talk you into something you are unsure about. My initial furniture purchase of a sofa, matching chair and ottoman, and a leather chair with matching ottoman went well and we really enjoyed our new furniture. That is until two support pieces on my couch broke after four years, and it was like sitting on the floor. After checking my receipt, I called to have it repaired under the warranty. The rep. came out and took a picture of the underside and was going to have someone contact me for repair. After several phone calls back & forth and getting the runaround, I was told that I might be better off dropping the couch off at their Seabrook location so they could have their on-site repairman fix it. Since I don't own a truck and didn't have ready access to one, a few weeks passed without a word. All of a sudden, out of the blue, I received a call saying they were coming to pick up my couch to repair it. Wasn't I surprised! I was even more surprised when I received another call three days later reporting it was fixed and they were going to drop it off. I was told "it will last longer than the fabric". Since I was at work I had them drop it off while my daughter was at home. The big surprise came when I got home and sat on my couch. After careful inspection it was pretty obvious that all they had done was to secure a heavy duty piece of plywood underneath the whole base of the couch, which not only made it extremely heavy to move, but also as hard as a rock to sit on. I also realized that one of the legs had been broken during transport and that was poorly repaired as well. Now, my cushions slide out if you try to sit on the "hard as rock" seating and the leg falls off if the couch moves a just a little. What began as one of my favorite pieces of furniture is now basically useless to me and my family. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at Seacoast Furniture to replace this couch. read more

I have been purcha sing furniture , lots of furniture, 2 sectionals, curio cabinets, chairs, end tables and pillows. A big order in 2016 and a big order in 2017. I have been dealing with both Shelia and Roger at Seacoast. I have been waiting for my chair since march of 2017 and a ottomon since april. The chiar has arrived at Seacoast and I called to the store to say I was coming in to pick it up. I was told it is locked up for the weekend and I should have called earlier to say I was coming to get it I called at 2:50 on Friday afternoon and said I would be in at 5pm. My ottomon arrived damaged and it needed to be reordered. My issue at this time with Seacost is how I am spoken to. I get told off, I am told by the sales people that it is not there fault when furniture is late in arriving, and basically I am told that if the item is back ordered the store does not get notified and I am just to wait for the item to arrive. After being a good customer for the past three years and recommending this store to so many people I can say that I will no longer be a customer of this store. Very poor customer service. read more

After visiting our local, big-box chain stores for furniture and finding the same old, same old, boring and bland junk, we decided to head to Seacoast. I am so very glad we did because we ended up with an absolutely gorgeous Sam Moore sofa (mid-century modern style) and recliner that we never would've found at a Jordan's or Bob's. Roger and Sheila were both awesome and super-helpful, too. (I can be indecisive at times, but both were extremely patient and accommodating for the duration of my shopping experience.) My husband and I recently went to this furniture store to look for a bedroom set. We were accosted by a very aggressive, unprofessional salesperson (Roger) who seemed intent on selling us a set, sight unseen. He had the audacity to insist that we should believe his line that the last person he sold this set to to had completely researched it and as a result we should buy it without ever seeing it. What's more, he insisted that we had to order immediately or else it would be several months before we would get it. When we made it clear that we would never buy something sight unseen, he became indignant and said and I quote, "We're done here" and turned his back and stormed off. He was right about one thing, we were indeed done and needless to say will never return to this store. We were incredibly shocked to be treated that way because we were the customer, he was the salesman trying to make the sale. They lost the opportunity that day to make a very good sale as we bought elsewhere. Footnote: As mentioned above, Roger also badmouthed good brand name stores as part of his sales pitch. read more

The service is very poor- as another review said "makes it difficult to want to be a customer". I will not be a customer! We were looking at leather couches and were helped be Sheila.Her feedback and comments were condescending, talking to us like we were idiots. We tolerated that and found a couch we liked but needed to think on;also wanted to look at reviews online for that particular piece.We went to another furniture store to compare products. Found another couch we really liked.I looked on line to compare specs etc and could not find any information.I called Seacoast furniture and explained how I was in and needed some additional details to help make up my mind. I spoke to Roger, he said Sheila was out at the bank. He gave general answers and never answered my questions, talking down to me. When I probed for more details he commented how it must be my first experience with leather and said I was sheilas customer and needed to talk with her.I said yes, but shes not in. He explained to me the point is that you build a relationship with one sales person and deal only with that person- I tried to explain I was in another store and was going to be buying a couch. I couldn't finish because he talked over me. I wanted an answer to help me make up my mind and wasn't going to wait for someone to get back from the bank- Needless to say I immediately bought the couch from the store I was in. The service was fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful and respectful. If that was what it was like to buy the couch from Seacoast what would service be like if I had questions or quality concerns. I will drive an hour to another store before I return here. read more

I wish I had read the reviews on Seacoast Furniture before I purchased 2 Lane Chairs from them a few months ago. I purchased from this company thinking it was small home town business with better service AND it had good quality name brand furniture. I was wrong on both accounts. One reviewer said that you start at one price and then it's dropped significantly. That happened to me and I was told I was getting a great deal. I payed much more than I wanted but these chairs were just what I was looking for plus I thought I was paying for the name and quality. I decided to save money and pick them up myself. In waiting for the salesman I saw him come from the storage area dragging my chairs across the concrete floor. I thought that strange but loaded them in my car and came home. Pulled the first chair out and set it down when then a large piece from the leg falls off. I bring the other chair in and look at the legs and notice it looks like a piece had come off that one too but someone had glued it back on. I called the Salesman - he seemed like he was going to fix it. He had someone come and pick up the chair with the chuck that fell out. It took 2 weeks but finally they delivered it back to only find out they had glued the piece back in - I was given the impression they were going to replace the leg. I called the salesman saying I was very disappointed in this kind of service. He proceeded to tell me I broke the leg taking it out of my vehicle. There is no way we dropped or bumped that leg in any way. Bottom line is there was no assistance in correcting this problem and making a customer satisfied. Sitting in the chairs now they are not sturdy and when you turn them over you can see how cheaply they are made. Boy, was that a hard lesson learned!!
