They have another store in St. Lawrence Market which we've been to on numerous occasions but, being from Etobicoke and all the closures on the Gardiner, this is far more convenient. It's on Vansco, a side street that runs off North Queen but, for those of you who aren't too familiar with the area, you can catch it off the Queensway (very close to IKEA). I could see this being convenient for those of you in east Mississauga. You won't have trouble with parking as they have a private lot. I paid with debit but I'm sure they accept most major credit cards. They have frozen shrimp, scallops, lobster tails, etc. in all sizes. I also recall seeing cans of crabmeat and smoked salmon as well. As for the fresh fish, there was sea bass, grouper, catfish, swordfish, sole, tuna, etc. - lots to choose from. The tuna looked like it was sushi grade. They also had an array of fresh shell fish as well such as oysters, mussels, huge scallops and shrimp. For the pre-made food, some of the selections were stuffed sole, some awesome looking crab-stuffed calamari and I saw a stuffed salmon (very similar looking to what Costco sells). They also have specialty groceries on a separate side but I was on my lunch break so I didn't have too much time on my hands to browse. Anyway, I bought six calamari tubes with a whole bunch of tentacles for $10.25 and six large, fresh shrimp for $3.95 - great deal!

They had a bunch of free samples when I was there (olive oil with fresh bread, chips, etc.) pricing seemed quite fair and the fish better quality than the grocery store! I purchased a mackerel and some cheap cavier (not the real stuff but they do sell that for $89 if you want it). When I got to the till, the lady on checkout advised they have a complementary fish cleaning service! What a bonus! On the website, if you order and pick up yourself it is $120 for ~40 pieces+ and if you order on uber eats it is $140 per platter. We had a group of 6 so splitting the cost is $40-47 per person which is a great value for good quality fish. For dine in - we ordered a few different items and all were wonderful. I had the Deluxe Maguro Kaisen Don (~$50) and the cuts of tuna (otoro, chutoro) were melt in your mouth. We've also tried their set menus and this came with a variety of dishes. It came with sashimi appetizer, pork belly, your choice of udon (we chose the uni, crab and cream udon), and your choice of don (we chose the wagyu). The set comes with a decent amount of food for only $42, very worth the value and we were full! The uni didn't taste fishy, udon was very creamy, and the wagyu was tender in the don. My sister in law ordered a set with many different small dishes on the plate ($40). It was nice to try different seasonal ingredients and sample it in small portions to try it all. The other occasion we had for dine in was a few years ago, and we both had different set menus with Maguro Toro Don and unagi Don. That set was delicious as well and we thought it was cool to pour a broth into the don bowl at the end to make it like a soup. So when I came upon Seaborn Toronto, located way closer to home, I decided to give them a try. Located on the industrial side of the Skycity Shopping Center, this tiny, non-descript store was equipped with 4-5 deep freezers and a standing freezer with a very good variety of frozen sashimi grade fish and an assortment of other frozen items. They also carry nori, miso and other basic Japanese items but not in huge quantity or variety. I had called the store before going in to see if they had any unfrozen product which I could pick up for dinner, but they did not. But when the very friendly lady on the phone told me that I could pick up the fish (this was around 2 p.m.) and would still be able to serve it for dinner, I was excited to give them a try. I ended up bringing home some salmon, Hamachi, scallops, tuna, suf clam, shrimp, and squid, which ended up filling one large and one small plate with some very delicious sashimi. We didn't even get to cut into our Tuna as there was no more room on our serving plates. I also bought a pack of very nice quality nori. The flavour and the freshness of all the fish exceeded our expectation, and we all ate till we were full (2 adults and a tween). We still had some leftover hamachi, shrimp and a whole portion of tuna, which probably would easily yield 2 chirashi bowls. All this great fish came to $96 including tax, which was an insanely good deal for the quality and variety we got. I have a feeling that i will be back to try their other fish very soon.
