(Nags Head). First, I like its location off the main road (Croatan Hwy), instead sitting cozily on the beachy 2-lane Virginia Dare Trail. Creative eye candy is everywhere, including the exterior. Jewelry, geodes/crystals, shells, salvaged items turned into art and useful home decor, and out back a totally separate bubble worth visiting on its own: an odd but whimsical, friendly small garden area populated by plastic soldiers, king kong, dolls, driftwood waves, ponds, fish, and... well, just explore along the narrow crooked paths! Prices are high to very reasonable, you're likely to find something w/in your $ means. Parking space is limited, both side and front. But if you can, park on the side. Parking in front is easy pulling in, but dicey to back out of due to traffic. read more

We LOVED this store so much that we went to both locations three times the week we were there. The potpourri is divine. I bought a bunch to give away and every single person has talked about how great it smells. My sons found plenty of things to look at and to buy. Skip the tacky tourist shopping and collect a real and memorable souvenir crafted by local artisans right here! This is a lovely shop/gallery with something for every discerning eye at every price point. I picked up a print of a painting and a pair of earrings. Two mementos from this trip that will last longer and mean more than any t-shirt or mug made in China. These artisans not only create beautiful pieces, but many if not most are made from refuse or scrap materials. This kind of place makes me very happy and I wish there were more like it everywhere. read more

I loved visiting this recycled and reused art gallery/shop after having some froyo at the Surfin Spoon right next door. The artists in this shop make very interesting pieces of artwork. The artwork is not too pricey if you're looking for an addition to your Outerbanks beach house art collection. There is even a beautiful backyard garden filled with awesome outdoor art. It was a very nice stop on my vacation, and I really love and support the concept of recycled art! read more

(10/10/2015) Great finds at the beach. Interesting, creative, unique gifts that come from repurposed, recycled and reused materials. If you want something memorable from the beach, stop by here. Prices somewhat higher than Wings, of course (it's not 70% off here all day long everyday of every year). Broden, the reptile is real and alive (I was unawares and caught surprised). Got a handmade seaglass ornament and some driftwood home decorations as gifts as well as handpainted shore themed cards. Def worth a stop in to at least peruse the outdoor gardens. Watch out for Cap and that Stark dude duking it out. read more

This is a gem amongst the saturation of tourist shops that surround the area. Variety of items, many hand made, all mostly beach inspired! Really neat outdoor garden, fun to explore even if you're not shopping for garden items. They have lots of fish, a couple of bunnies, turtle and frogs. Fun shop, definitely recommend! read more

Also forget those cheesy souvenir stores.... buy yourself, your family and friends something cool, funky, unique and reused rather than some mass produced product that just has "Outer Banks" stamped on it. Such a fun, random, eclectic gem of a store! The owner is an artist and makes really cool recycled glass art. I found geodes and jewelry and art at affordable prices (and then some that are way beyond my price range), and there's such a fun selection of things that you could easily spend an hour here (as I did). Give yourself time to walk through the gardens outside where there is a fun mix of "junk" (old signs and such) alongside a vegetable garden. There are two bunnies munching on the veggies outside, and Broden, a reptile, who lives on the counter inside. So fun! I came away with some gifts to bring home, and some inspiration to make more art out of repurposed items myself! read more

Like a mashup of the fun and whimsy of a Disney Park and a high class, reuse antique gallery. A must-do experience on every trip to the Outer Banks. They also have a new location in Duck, but the Nags Head store has a ton more items, plus the garden with bunnies, chickens, lizards and hidden little figurines and site gags. Yes, bigger art items are pricey, but spend time looking at things and you'll find something unique in your price range. We bought two small gifts and paid like $15. And if you are buying a custom, one-of-a-kind, re-used lighting fixture or sculpture piece, it should cost more than something cheap and mass produced from Ikea. If you want more affordable salvage, reuse or reproductions try Class or Trash on the bypass road. But definitely go to Seagreen, you will have a blast. read more

Fun store, so many great ideas for repurposing items found around the house. Not just another gift shop...a fun way to bring a piece of OBX back home with you. That said, I'm a shopper/collector, but even these prices were a bit much for me to swallow. I also read two accounts of overcharging, which concerned me. My wife and I ordered two pieces of artwork utilizing old license plates that spelled out two of our favorite towns. When we ordered them, we specifically asked for them to utilize certain states where we lived, which there are many. I watch as the salesperson but those specific states on the order form. We had to pay for it prior to leaving and subsequent shipping fees before they would ship them. When they arrived, not all of the states requested were used! Instead of them calling us to ask about different ones, they used what they wanted, not even close to where we live/lived. VERY, VERY, VERY disappointed. $149.00 plus almost $15 to ship, and not produced as we asked. Many states requested are close to NC. A phone call to go over would have been the proper path to take. Not worth what we paid and for what we were asking to accomplish. The salesperson knew what we were looking to do. Do not purchase these custom pieces if they don't guarantee what you ask for. read more

Awesome, unique shop that is an upcycler's home decorating store. Some really unique ideas and items. I loved the flowers made from shells and they were not too pricey at $12 a piece. They also had a cute collection of small hooks that ranged in price. The elephant ones were very cute and a fair price. Some things were on the expensive side - old keys on a hook were around $30 and they had very neat fair trade products I had never seen, but the small cup was $35. It's not for everyone, but Definitely worth the stop and I will be coming back again. read more

I am still in awe of my visit to the Seagreen Gallery. The unusual art work and use of items to make them is amazing. The garden is simply Magical I would love to just sit and read a book in one of their seating areas. Can't believe I haven't been to this place all the years I have been coming to the Outter Banks.
