Our 30 minute tour was actually less than 20 minutes of flightime with 5 minutes to take off and…read moreland. We boarded a nice Otter aircraft and after being seated and told how to put on seat belts (they were never checked), the pilot, who never showed his face or introduced himself, hundreds an iPad up for our preflight safety check. That completed, the engine was started. It was extremely loud and no warning was given, no earplugs supplied or offered, and most disappointing was no headphones (for ear protection) were supplied for inter passenger communication or for the pilot to describe where we were. Another disturbing issue was that the coupl in front of us were "oversized". He being extremely large and by the time he was seated, more than of his bottom was hanging off the seat. This is my opinion was totally unacceptable. As a said it was a good (we landed and walked away) flight

We had issues with our bus transfer and the staff personally picked us up when we were stranded to bring us safely to the seaplane terminal. On the way back, they helped us to arrange a taxi to the bus stop. On top of that, the pilot was very knowledgeable and friendly. CorilAir will be our sea airline of choice going forward for any/all seaplane flights! We are grateful for their service!

We scheduled a regular pick up from Refuge Cove to Campbell River on part of their postal mail route, but when we got picked up they were giving another couple the "Historic Mail Flight Tour," which we just so happened to be so lucky to sit in on!!! We stopped at 3 different historical docks where they still have regular postal delivery. We got to get out of the plane and switch seats and everyone got a chance to sit up front. It was a wonderful experience!!!

I recently came to Glacier Air to take the introductory flight lesson on recommendation of a…read morefriend. Akshay was my instructor. On the first lesson, we had 30 minutes of flying time. We briefly covered all six maneuvers required for the PPL flight exam AND he took the time to point out some of the beautiful geographical landmarks. Highlights included flying around the Stawamus Chief and the spin recovery (so much fun!). He performed the maneuver, while asking me to feel his movements on the controls...then asked if I wanted to give it a go on the second time around. Calm and confident flight instructor. We are in awe of how well planned all the ferry terminals in Canada are. Multiple lane entries to…read moreembark on your ferry and at the checkin you get assigned one lane. The best part is you can just leave your car parked in that lane and walk to nearby terminal building to use restroom or eat or shop. The one in Nanaimo had decent food options. We tried from three places. Chachi's Mac n cheese, Hiro veggie and tofu udon and pizza place that had tandoori chicken pizza. All three were great. There is plenty of tables for you to sit and eat. There is also a small play structure outside that kept the kid busy. The restrooms were clean. It was 10/10 experience from embarking to disembarking. BC ferry itself offered clean restrooms, cafe to eat and a small play area. They also gave crayons and a picture for coloring. The most positive experience with the way it is operated. Note: if you want to change reservation the ferry timing there is a fee per person. Tip: if you are in lower vehicle deck you have to get down. But upper decks

Departure Bay is located north side of Nanaimo. It only has one berth and it only goes to Horseshoe…read moreBay. I was surprised that this ferry terminal has a food court and gift shops. It is a much more convenient location for us in terms of heading home or getting to Nanaimo. We usually take Swartz Bay or Dupoint. Only complain about this terminal is that you have to drive into Nanaimo and the traffic is not always the best.
