They matched up the crazy zebra pattern on the wood so it looks new again. Will always return for future repairs.

I was apprehensive with who might be able to do justice and not ruin them. I took a shot with GKH furniture repair and restoration. I'd seen the reviews, and I now can say the reviews weren't exaggerated. When I first called Greg last November he was honest about the time fragment it would take. I unfortunately called during the holidays, which was not good. I later called in March, amd he told me then, sort of leveling with me that this sort of work takes time, like 4-6 months. It wasn't a bad wait and I was patient. The saying goes, "all good things come to those who wait," and it's true if you want a master to handle your antiques. I've sanded, stained wood before, and it's no easy task. It's a time-consuming endeavor, and I also didn't trust myself restoring antique bookcases. In retrospect the price was reasonable for the result. I now have an admirable place to keep my Ulysses, and restored bookcases my ancestors would be proud of.

We just had both bathrooms fully remodeled but opted to keep the original 1935 floors and tubs. When the contractors were done with the remodel, the floors & tubs in both bathrooms were looking pretty rough... our next-door neighbors gave us an outstanding recommendation to call Ken... so we did! Best decision ever. Re-glazing was the plan. Ken came and took a look and advised to "refurbish" (if you will) the tubs and floors vs. re-glazing. We did and they look OUTSTANDING! They truly turned out beautifully! Ken and his assistant Scott were so kind and respectful. I met them at the house the first day, let them know we have a no-shoes rule (as we just refinished the hardwood floors)... they were very polite and complied with my request. When I popped by the house in the middle of the day, I found them both, still in socks, working away! We would absolutely recommend Ken and Scott... they are the guys for the job!!!!!

Without going into detail, he became angry when I had questions, and hung up on me. (I was not angry-ironically was preparing to tell him a friend had recommended him and schedule.) I called back and left a message that I found his behavior unprofessional and I was leaving a bad review. (I wasn't out to blindside him online-not trying to tank his business- but I wanted him to know this was REALLY not okay. I guess I hoped it wouldn't happen to someone else.) I should have known better. I received three texts personally insulting me, my contractor, etc. etc. from him. Clearly not a good fit and will not be working together so I almost didn't do a review. I can't review the work quality. But I thought a heads up may be appropriate in case this happens again. Sometimes it is hard to find a good fit. Hopefully it was just him having a bad day but...I think it is weird that I have to block someone with whom I had a pretty short phone call. (Technically two short calls. I had talked to him briefly the week before to get information then conferred with my husband before calling back to hire him.)
