My next-door neighbor, (fortunately), spotted water running from my front door. To make a long story short, my condo manager recommended United Restoration; they used them before and were well pleased. From what I understand, United Restoration came out almost immediately and started the mitigation process. I arrived to see my home 2 days later. I cried when I saw it but according to my neighbors it looked good compared to what it was. United Restoration packed up my stuff efficiently and I easily found what I needed. They dried out the house very quickly - still in the drying process - and because they got there so quickly it appears there will be no mold problems. They are still in the drying/packing process. I met with Joe Pino, the Manager and estimator, the next business day. He explained clearly the damages and what will be needed; he is dealing with the Insurance company as well. They are a full-service company, so I won't be worrying about contractors, etc. They also are dealing with the insurance company. I cannot tell you how pleased and greatful for the work they are doing.

Before the plumber arrived, I had already done some troubleshooting and explained that the leak became worse when water was being used in the house and slowed significantly when I shut off the main water supply. The plumber briefly looked around, noticed a small amount of water in the HVAC condensate pan, and immediately concluded that the air conditioning was the cause. He would not seriously consider the information I provided or investigate other possible plumbing-related causes, despite the clear pattern I described. I felt like my observations were dismissed without a thorough evaluation. On top of that, there was a non refundable fee of $179 for the visit. When you're dealing with a leak that is actively damaging your home, you want someone who will methodically diagnose the problem rather than jump to a conclusion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope the company takes customer concerns more seriously and performs a more comprehensive assessment before ruling out other possibilities.

What I really appreciated was that they explained why bids were coming in so high at the time (2021) and said they'd wait to give the bid until we had the permit since pandemic pricing should have improved. All we had to do was pay $500 to hold my place in line (we didn't have to -- it was an option). When the permit finally came in a year later (DREC delays), the bid they gave us was $20K less than what I'd gotten the year before from another outfit and they were able to come and start working within a month. It took a while due to weather, but they were in regular communication. Definitely recommend.

In less than one year, the motor in the power roof vent failed. I have emailed them, called, texted and mailed a letter. No response. Unsure if they are still in business but I would not use C&M Roofing to do any work on my house. Their roofing warranty is worthless.
