My Sears Serviceman was very good. My original service date was supposed to be Tuesday. He was on time, was courteous and informed me that he didn't have the solenoid valve on his truck, necessary to repair my Kenmore dishwasher. He ordered the part and told me the total cost to be for the part, tax and labor. He rescheduled me for Friday. I am VERY unhappy with the communication with Sears Home Service via tet or email. The original order stated that my address was TouringTorrington Avenue 42. The "Touring" is incorrect. I tried repeatedly to edit that address and the system wouldn't permit me to edit my address but could edit everything else in the order. I wanted to speak with a real person and all I could communicate with were "bots" and they were NO help. my huge complaint is regarding the expected time of arrival of the Sears serviceman. Most other companies split up the day into either morning 9AM to noon or afternoon 1-5PM arrival. It is VERY inconvenient for the customer to sit around all day waiting for the serviceman. Please change to either morning or afternoon arrival. My Friday appointment had to be rescheduled, so I had to wait most of Saturday the 13th of December for Nicolas. The replacement part was delivered by USPS on Friday the 12th. He made the repair promptly and ran the dishwasher through all its cycles. Service was perfect. The technician was very patient as I cleaned the door glass over and over due to a cloudy appearance from spilled food. He helped to prepare the floor so that there would be no damage and then the process of cleaning the one door went very well. He was right on time and arrived at 8am. This is the WORST company for repair I've ever dealt with. The service number is 800-827-6655, My 7 year old refrigerator went out so I called Sears Services to come write a diagnostic for the repair/warranty. This happened 5 days before Thanksgiving so I scheduled a visit 11-25-25 and literally waited all day. The tech never showed up but by 3;00 he lied saying he came to my home and I wasn't there. I was waiting by my door! I had to go back online through the tedious process to reschedule for the following day, another day lost before Thanksgiving. The tech came but didn't provide a diagnostic report so I get no money for reimbursement and cannot even get help through my insurance without the diagnotic report. Their customer service is pathetic. We were scheduled to have a dryer repair done originally on 12/30/24 which they rescheduled to 12/26/24. They stated parts would be ordered when the appointment was set up, but they never ordered the parts and dispatched a technician on 12/26/24 who couldn't perform the repair because the parts never got ordered. The technician ordered the parts which were delivered on 12/29/24. The technician said to call when the parts arrived and another technician would be sent out the next day to perform the repair. We tried to contact them but you can't speak to a human on any of the phone numbers they list and they automatically rescheduled the appointment for 1/9/25. My wife was home all day on 1/9/25 and nobody showed up, nor did anybody call and then they had the audacity to reschedule the appointment to 1/20/25. We initiated this repair request on 12/20/24. Waiting a month to get a dryer repair when the parts are here is completely unacceptable. Stay away from this horrible and unreliable company. 1/11/25 update. After not being able actually speak with a human, we performed the repair ourselves with the parts they had shipped to our house. read more

Their AI and overseas support is horrible. Waited 6 weeks and 5 delays rescheduled by AI as back ordered fuse I found the fuse online next day delivery. They also were charging $100 for parts I saw online for $10. I'll never use these guys again. read more

I don't know if the so called Hendersonville Sears appliance is part of the Greenville operation but " Hendersonville " service was slow and terrible. My refrigerator was not repaired , the repairman was difficult to reach and slow to respond. The address listed for the Hendersonville operation turned out to be a Pizza Hut when we went by to complain, it didn't exist. read more

The technician was very smart and knowledgeable of repairs. I gave him five stars. But the people that read and set up the service calls if they read my initial problem, they could've avoided charging me $119 for a service call by telling me that my problem would go away on its own if I stopped using A Fresh washing machine cleaner. all that product did was loosen up all the junk this underneath the drum in the washing machine and was constantly flooding my machine with little pieces of grease and dirt. It ended on its own. There was no need for me to have a technician come out. But Sears in its infinite wisdom, would not give up the $119 service call charge by telling me there's no real problem. It will go away on its own. So the people that handle the work orders at Sears I give them minus one star read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The 800# provided disconnects when you attempt to call. The online portal just directs you back to an automated phone tree that goes nowhere. The owner invited us to message via Facebook which we did, only to still get no response. Absolutely disgusted at the sheer inability to talk to an actual person after the initial technician provided an estimate and took our money. This was the company that we had to deal with to get our washer repaired under our extended protection plan. I have no complaints about the technicians -- all were pleasant to deal with. However, after this experience I no longer have any respect for Sears. We were canceled on at the last minute so many times that we lost track -- I kid you not, it was OVER TEN TIMES in the two months after our initial appointment request. Again, this was not the fault of the technicians and was not up to them. It was the fault of Sears Home Services and their despicable system. We went without a working washer for that entire time and there was virtually no way to speak with a human customer service rep. Over and over again, we were told via email and text message to stay home from 8am to 5pm. We rearranged work and other obligations, only to be no-showed on repeatedly. The bot was happy to tell me, falsely, over and over, that I could just call the number on the service website and speak to a human. This company is causing serious distress and disruption for people with jobs, kids, and lives. What's hilarious is that after I post this review, they are going to post a reply telling me just to call the number or visit the website so they can assist me further, just as they've done in response to the other horrible reviews here. Hi are my husband came home he was very disappointed in the service that we had he had told me as the lady of the house that my fuse would be inventually will go out and my husband was quoting on it how come he didn't change it I said I don't know my husband said well do you know he's supposed to change if he's going to revisit it going to be going out why he didn't go ahead and fix the problem keep them I told my husband that same thing I asked him if he's going to eventually go out he wasn't going to change anything and he said he can't change anything if it ain't doing it right then with him but he did tell me that I can reach out back to them but I told him I want it fixed to keep from paying money for someone to come out to fix it I don't have that kind of money to be spending on every service call so the technician said he never saw a furnace like mine and I was telling him I have told Electric so he figured it out on himself that I was telling the truth but my husband is very unsatisfied that the gentleman come here and do anything but he check check the heat status that was fine was it getting hot in here that was fine but I had told him that we've been out of power of heat for 2 weeks and I tried it myself two times in the third time I didn't do anything to try to correct it and now my home got a bad smell in it I don't know what he did when they went up on the house or what but the smell been in here ever since 5:30 p.m. they have a nice great attitude but I will probably wasn't solve and last he told me that I need to invention upgrade my furnace my concern and my husband is saying how come he didn't fix the problem cuz I told him I didn't want my home to have any kind of errors in it or anything to destroy my home I wanted the problem fixed cuz I don't have nowhere else to go if anything go wrong thank you read more

My service tech was punctual, called ahead of time so I would be ready. He was very detailed, checked out everything, and was very clear in explaining everything that needed to be done. He also had to call the office as the invoice processing for my payment would not come out correctly. He got it all cleared up. He was fabulous. Now as for Sears service. I received at least 2 emails and 2 messages daily, sometimes more to confirm my appt. What a bother! I ever received a recorded call just before the tech arrived saying that my tech would be there tomorrow - it was actually the second call I received from a recorded message (along with emails and texts) and it was a day off. The tech will have to come back in a week to complete the project, due to needing to order the part. He will have it shipped directly to my home. So it's a good thing that I don't use my over portion of my stove that much. read more

My dishwasher was leaking. Nick was very communicative in letting me know when to expect his arrival. He and William were very polite and arrived earlier which is always great. Although they rsn the cycle, my dishwasher would not replicate the leak. Nick educated me about using other types of dishwasher soap, and also pointed out a plumbing suggestion on our disposal to avoid it leaking or backing up into the dishwasher line. After four visits my dishwasher was deemed unrepairable due to the last Sears technician frying it! I had purchased the Service plan but Sears said they won't cover it because the Service Plan is not effective until after a month. Screw the service plan! Service was prompt and just as needed - replacing a faulty washing machine pump. The technician was perfect and great to work with. Our only issue was a sudden reschedule without notice or reason. If we'd had to take PTO we'd be livid. Be aware that they'll text service info and updates, but if they have to reschedule they'll only let you know via an 800 number. That aspect of communication seems separate and less customer-focused. :/ read more
