Tech was great he ordered the parts needed and they made two more trips out and was still short the right parts. For me it's very disappointing since I'm a long time Sears supporter. I have two tool boxes of Craftsman tools and since the store is closed the techs are fine but service department sucks for ordering the right parts. read more

I liked the convenience of making a service appointment online. The follow up texts about the status of my appointment and when the driver was on their way was great. My dryer is about 9 years old and just started to lightly squeak when running. Tech said it was just dirty and needed cleaned which I thought was great that it wasn't a major/expensive issue. After cleaning it he struggled putting the top back on and later that day I noticed it wasn't latched down in the front left corner. I pushed down on it to see if it would click in, I didn't push down hard at all and heard something fall down inside. I called and he came back later that day which was great. He saw the issue and tried fixing it but was really struggling and slamming it down trying to get it to latch. He then states that I broke the clamp and bent the frame. There is no way that I caused those issues. I thought it was very tacky to blame the customer, especially after he had just been pretty rough with it. He did look up replacement part for me which was nice of him so I didn't have to place another service appointment. Unfortunately the dryer now squeaks WAY worse than before and the top frame is bent. I'm not sure if the new latch will even work because of the bent frame. Hesitant calling for another service repair tech with how our outcomes were. read more

We had an issue with the ice maker on our Frigidaire Gallery side by side refrigerator. Two other appliance repair companies in Idaho Falls had unsuccessfully attempted to fix the problem. Sears came out and had it resolved in 20 minutes. The reason? Apparently the other appliance repair companies don't bother to stay current on service bulletins from the manufacturers. Don't waste your time and money. Call Sears and get the job done right the first time at a fair price. read more

This place is the worst company I've ever done business with. We called them to fix the ice maker in a fairly new refrigerator in May. They've been to our house 7 times and there is still no ice, we're out about $500, not only does the ice maker still not work but they also broke the freezer fan. And it's now mid-August! It'd be funny if it weren't me maybe. Please allow me to explain: first time the guy came, diagnosed the problem and said he needed to order the part. Paid him almost $500. So one day off work wasted and a lot of money spent. Two weeks later the same tech came to install the part only to discover he had ordered the wrong part! Off by a single digit. Another day off work. Two weeks later another guy came and quickly discovered they'd ordered the wrong part again!! He said he could make it work though. Well, the kitchen flooded that night due to the fact that he installed the wrong part, we assume. Try as we might we could not find anyone to remedy the problem that night, just got routed to the 800 number all weekend long, where some guy assured us that if we make another appointment all our problems would be resolved. There was no one local to talk to, not an option. So we made another appointment. Guy came, said he needed to order the right part. Another day off work. Two weeks later he came back and installed the right part! Well still no ice after a couple days so we called them again. So two weeks ago a tech came and did some sort of diagnostic work - he had to borrow a battery mind you - and figured out that the freezer fan had shorted out in the flooding that occurred after the wrong part had been installed. The tech called home base while here to order the fan and told whoever he talked to that the cost should be waived for installation of the fan. Another day off work...The appointment to install it was this week and the tech called to say he was en route and that we'd owe $371 when he got here. I told him the story and he said, "we can't give away the store." So I told him the whole story again and he said he'd call someone and get back to me. Never heard from him again! I tried call the number from which he called, to no avail. So as I said were out almost $500, still have no ice and have lost at least 12 hours time off at work. Stay away from this place at all costs! I'd give them zero stars if I could. And the worst part is they tried to make us feel like we're looking for a deal. Well that and the fact that we're out so much money and there is no owner or even an actual human who cares. Very frustrating. Update: I emailed the address listed in the response below a couple weeks ago and they have not responded to my email. Their response here is just a ruse. Don't let them fool you!
