A technician came out, serviced the unit, and identified the issue: a faulty blower. He provided a quote for the replacement, which I approved immediately. That's when the problems began. Ten days later, I called for an update and was told the part hadn't even been ordered. Another ten days later, I was informed the part wasn't available, but they could try retrofitting a similar one. When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

I had this guy come over and give me a quick estimate, he says "super easy job" which it should have been, then showed up the following day about 40 minutes late, wouldn't have been a big deal but needed to coincide with another trade. He proceeded to tell me how the conduit was going to run a certain direction and be anchored down to the floor so as not to be a tripping hazard (WTF?)- not what we had discussed, and it was obvious he was short cutting the job because he didn't calculate enough conduit or wires to run it the correct direction. Argued horribly with the other trade about a hook-up to some equipment, I had to walk away- it was REALLY BAD! Then he said it was going to take another two hours because he had to go get all new wires and conduit- to which I said "ok". My equipment guys had to leave and come back later since they were waiting on the electrician. Many hours later, it got completed but it was a very unpleasant experience. This guy had horrible manners and was very disrespectful and rude. I was very happy to get them off my property!

H & H Diesel came highly recommended from several friends at the office. I took a used RV (new to…read moreme) to them for service; engine, transmission and chasse. The bill was just under $1000. They charged me for 10 gal of transmission fluid at over $50 per gallon. The owner's manual indicated that the transmission requires 19 quarts plus some for hoses and cooler. After checking the fluid level I discovered that the transmission was 3 to 4 gallons over filled. I then checked the engine oil level and found it too was over filled. H & H agreed to come to the RV and adjust the transmission fluid and provide a refund for the overcharge. I concluded that it was an honest mistake. I then got the transmission fluid analysis results which indicated "Particle level is too high to determine accurate amount of particulates." The Allison authorized representative, indicated that the analysis results were consistent with a transmission failure and that a replacement would be about $10,000. Further discussions with the representative identified several performance characteristics that should be accompanying a failed transmission, which I had none. H & H agreed to rerun the analysis, on the fresh transmission fluid (if the transmission is failing the new fluid should be contaminated.) The second analysis was within specification. This may have been an honest mistake, which was very disturbing and which made me question everything H & H had done to the RV. My low rating is associated with the fact that H & H did not demonstrate competence to work on complicated and expensive large equipment.
