Scott returned for additional service to our refrigerator. His first diagnosis was not incorrect; it just required additional parts as the issue was a bit more complicated than originally thought. A virtual tech inspection, instead of another scheduled diagnostic physical visit, resulted in additional parts sent, and a return visit just a few days later to complete the repair. Scott and his trainee completed the repair quickly. Scott expressed remorse for not getting the diagnosis completely correct the first visit, but that was unnecessary as far as I was concerned. He is sincere and thorough in work, and I feel confident knowing is my repair tech. And to top it off, the second visit was covered at no charge for parts or labor. Sears Home Services also known as A&E, employed an AI customer service system. This is without a doubt the most horrible way to have to deal with ANY service business. The system will not allow the customer to speak with a human at all. All of the scheduling and updates are handled via AI. There's supposedly no way for the AI to contact a technician. My scheduled day was today, July 10 between 8 and 5. A technician was supposed to contact me to further narrow down the window. I received a text message saying that the tech would arrive at or before 9:50. It is now 11:40 and still no sign of, and no updates from the said tech or AI. When dealing with a local tech, I can speak with the tech via a call or text message. This system flat out sucks! read more

All went well with David. He was able to troubleshoot, install the part, & get our dryer up & running again. David was pleasant & prompt. I was however, very disappointed in the 2 cancellation notices. The part came weeks ago and I had to wait over a month for installation . I should demand my $64.19 copay to be reimbursed for the month of either September or October. I consider myself a valued customer & have subscribed to the Sears Maintenance Agreement every year for over 21 years and have never missed a payment. read more

Our technician was great, he arrived early in the day, diagnosed the problem, replaced the part and the stove seemed to work. But after 48 hours the problem is back - the stove seems to have no thermostat. It takes over an hour for the oven to come to temperature and then it keeps running. We have scheduled another service for the same problem in a few days. read more

I made my appointment with Sears going with thier reputation of being dependable. Much to my disappointment they weren't. I scheduled my appointment over a week ago to have my washer fixed on Friday, April 21. My appointment was booked and confirmed albeit with 9 hour arrival window. During the week leading up to my appointment, I received confirmation reminders. In fact, I received a confirmation reminder at 11 am, the day of the appointment! The next message I received from Sears was around 12:15 pm informing me that my appointment was rescheduled. No reason given. Essentially, I wasted a 1/2 day waiting for an appointment that was eventually canceled. This is a poor business practice especially when my availability is limited. I do not recommend Sears Appliance service. They simply are not reliable. read more

Sears customer service is among the worst of any company I have ever known! I have always bought my appliances from Sears--for over 40 years. I have been paying a $380+ service contract every year for over 10 years, so now nearly 4 grand. My dishwasher died in late June. The first they could come to diagnose it was July 7. Of course I had to agree to be at home all day from 8am to 5pm. The very nice gentleman who came couldn't fix it in that visit and had to order parts. The scheduled return date was August 7--now over a month without my appliance. On Aug. 7th, the same, very nice, friendly tech installed the parts and left. The dishwasher started up like normal, but a few minutes later, threw the very same error I had reported initially. I called to get them to come back. Unbelievably, they said I couldn't reschedule an appointment for service on the same day as I had already had service performed. I would have to wait until the next day to call to report that the service didn't work. So I waited a day, and called back. The first available date is August 28th. I am taking my oldest daughter to college that week. The ONLY days they will schedule are Tuesdays. That's relatively convenient since that's my day off, except that I schedule medical and dental visits for my daughters and I on Tuesdays (it's my day off). The next suggested date conflicts with an appointment I've been waiting for 6 months for. So the representative starts pushing it out further and further, such that IF I can find a Tuesday when I don't have any conflicts and I'm willing to sit at home from 8am til 5pm, it will have been nearly 3 months I haven't had a dishwasher that I have paid nearly $4000 in service contracts for. Sears sucks and deserves to go out of business. read more

DO NOT EVER USE THE PEOPLE ! I just bought 6 brand new appliances from GE and they were supposed to come fix my washer . came once never told me till end of service that I had to pay a fee . I said ok I will go to bank don't have my stuff as it's in my car and my husband had my car. I said send me a link to pay and I will - no link so I called GE and they said that shouldn't have happened and they would take care of it. GE scheduled them to come back and the appointment was from 8am -5pm well we work so I had to have someone sit at my house all day. no call,text or show but then I get a call from this guy name Matt Savery at 5:36 pm saying they weren't coming because I supposedly owed $99 from first visit. I explained that GE said that was handled since I called after tech left. Nope he comes back and says" well lady if you paid your bill we would come out," I then said well maybe if you had called me i would have either paid it or called GE to see why they hadnt paid it yet. this man was supposedly the Dm and he was so rude. washer still not fixed! also they were supposed to come fix fridge since I have only had it 2 weeks and this was definitely paid by GE in paperework!! they have now billed me once with no repair , billed GE twice without even coming to my house ! these people are shady and only care about money ! I will be calling better business bureau to let them know about all this fraud and rude , unprofessional attitudes!! I will call some one else as suggested by GE and yes it is already In the paperwork that they will be paid. I am calling GE to let them know once again to not pay the bill as they never showed . SO FAR THEY HAVE BILLED ME$99, GE ALMOST $300 and not bothered to come or call and every time I have either been here or had someone give up their day to sit here and wait - for what -NOTHING!!!!!HORRIBLE AND I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN!! This is the last time I purchase a PM plan based on them actually performing any maintenance! All they do for the dishwasher is look at it, run a quick cycle to be sure it's draining...(if it wasn't I think I'd know).
