Demetri was a polite but incompetent technician. He diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. The morning of his repair, he called early and asked if I would cut the gas off to the Electrolux oven. I stated I did not feel comfortable doing that. Later that day, he finished installing the regulator and said I still smell a little gas b/c he had just turned it back on. When I got home from work that evening the house reeked of gas.  I immediately opened the windows and doors and went outside to call him. He stated he had clocked out and could not do anything and suggested pulling the oven out and turning off the gas at the wall. He also said that when I made another appointment that I should ask for a tech that specializes in gas ovens. You cannot call to make another appt. with a live person - Sears only has AI operators. Now I am required to have a virtual appt. before someone else comes to the house to correct the sloppy repair job. We will not use Sears again, and I would not recommend them. read more

My washer was not draining, showing code OE, and I called to have it repaired. The "technician" showed up late and spent 15 minutes in my laundry room. He came out and told me my washer was fixed, handed me a bill for $450 dollars, waited for my credit card payment to post in his app, and left. My washer was not fixed. It was still displaying code OE. In other words, he did nothing to solve the problem but charged me as if he did. I called Sears an hour after he left to let them know that my washer was not repaired. They assured me that they would get back to me the next day about rescheduling. Over the next few days I was told 1. They would get someone out asap. 2. They had no open appointments and needed to put me on a waiting list. 3. They had no available technicians in my area and would have to find someone in a surrounding area. 4. Lastly they send me an email: "We regret to inform you that we do not have available technicians in your area to complete your service. Unfortunately was will need to closed your service request at this time." Three hours and six employees later I was able to get a partial refund but they kept the $129 technician fee. Julian, Sears technican replaced 3 parts to my icemaker, it's still not working. I paid Sears over 30yrs for misery.

Appointment was schedule, technician call in AM to verify then close out my work order without even showing up or calling.

He did a great job! He taught us how to clean the washer properly and to reduce the amount of detergent we are using. We have never had a front loader so he got us straightened out and we appreciate it! read more

Would give ZERO stars if I could. I was in a really desperate situation and these jokers DID NOT SHOW UP. Made a confirmed online appointment. I made multiple calls and I was promised they would arrive. NO SHOW. Only notice I was given was when I called a 5th time the auto message said my appointment was moved 3 days later. Repairmen are nice. That is the end of the positive things I can say. 3 visits for same problem and still ordering the wrong parts or parts missing. Now a 4 th visit required. You have to be on site , over 18 and available for an 8 hour time period. Several 8 hour visits. Looked at the reviews on another site. This is a common problem. read more

I called Sears home services for appliances to fix a broken fan belt on my riding mower I discussed the fee with the representative was told it would be $100 plus $31 charge for the belt I asked If the $100 house call change is included in the final charge or is it extra I was told it was included I asked several times saying "so the total charge would be about $130-$140" and I was told it would be, It turns out there's this misinformation the total fee for installing new fan belt was About $230-$240 I called Sears customer service to complain I was told I would be called back and was never called back I finally reached the escalation department a week later and was told there's nothing that would be done to correct this read more

Spent the afternoon waiting for my scheduled repair for my Kenmore gas grill. An hour and a half after the end of the promised time frame, Sears called to say that because of the rain, he wouldn't be able to perform the repair, and the next available date would be more than two weeks out. I was given a confirmed appointment to complete repair of my washer and took off work to be present between 8am and 5pm as instructed. I get a call at 12:30 or so that the technician left and no one would be coming. As I was telling the person on the phone how unacceptable this was, he hung up on me. I called three different numbers and spoke to 3 different people only to be told I could have an appointment in 3 weeks. Now I get a request to tell evaluate their service on August 14 which never even happened! Never use this company in the HHI, SC area. They have terrible customer service and response! Bought extended warranty on $3000 LG fridge. Is a little over a year old and began shutting off just after Thanksgiving. It is 12/31 and they still have not fixed the fridge. Yoi'll wait at least 2 weeks for a service visit, and if they don't fix it that day, you'll wait another 2 weeks. They outsource the customer service (Philippines I believe) and many of the reps are rude and often hang up on you. read more
